I don't know why there's so many bad reviews on a used car lot. If you're buying a used car that's what you'll get. I had bought a truck from their lot, the most it needed was a tune up and tires but had been a good truck that I had for a few years. Derrick given our title the next day. I came to the site looking for another ride and thought I should post my review to say this car lot isn't a bad lot. If you want a new car go to a new lot otherwise for a used car you get what you get.

I bought a 1976 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe about three years ago. It has been a fantastic car, but that is not really the point. Every car, whether 4 years old or 40 will break down. I have probably put $1500 into repairs in the last 3 years, most of which was to overhaul the vacuum system and give it a thorough tune up.

The point is they were honest and easy to work with. I paid with an out of state check and they were fine with that. I took the car home and they mailed me the title a few days later.

I am considering buying another vehicle from them, and I haven't seen the older gentleman that I worked with on the Lincoln. The younger gentlemen they have working at the shop seem to be inexperienced and therefore capable of making mistakes. Some reviews say that they have been lied to. I have seen no evidence of that, but I would recommend that if you have any question whatsoever in your mind, get it checked by a mechanic of your choice before the sale is finalized Put a clause in the sales contract to protect you if your mechanic finds an unknown issue, or write in a certain warrenty or other recourse if an engine, transmission, or other expensive repair comes due very quickly after purchase.

I've purchased two very good used vehicles from this dealer. They have always been up front with me about the cars I purchased, and I keep in mind the cars on this lot are used cars.

As with any car we will have to do a little maintenance, fortunately with the two cars I purchased .... The maintenance has been minimal.

I recommend Gils Auto Sales to my friends and anyone who ask or says: "That's a nice car! ..... where did you get your car?"

Remember, it's up to the purchaser to thoroughly check a car or before purchase, my experience with This dealer has been positive. I will purchase again from here, as I Love to support small businesses.

I saw a Town & Country, an Equinox & an Avalanche on Google last night that interested me. Then today, after work I stopped at the dealer's to look at the cars to possibly buy 1 of them before they'd close. I decided not to buy either 1 of them (cars are too big in size) although they looked Awesome for the Prices. * As I was heading out of the dealership I saw a Volkswagen Jetta on the lot that interested me. I checked it out, test drove it & bought it right on the spot. The 2 sales men were awesome! They gave me all the information I asked them & I needed to know about the Jetta before I bought it. Great job guys! Omaha & Council Bluffs needs more Nice, Reliable & Honest Car Dealers like both of you! I'm a Very Satisfied Customer!

Very nice, very fair people. They specialize in less expensive vehicles and while you tend to get what you pay for, at Gil's the deals are better than even many private party deals. You get a bit more than you pay for.
