Too Far North

Awesome experience. I was in Omaha for business and a local friend suggested we go. Sandy was great. The tasting experience was fun and educational. The building atmosphere and history very engaging.
110% will repeat.

Great experience for a tasting. Owner was friendly and knowledgeable. She create a community where customers could interact or have their own space. Another customer was trying craft beer and she seemed knowledgeable about them as well. Great old building.

Sandy, the owner, remembers peoples names if you have been in just a couple of times! She gets to know people in order to find taste preferences and never forgets! This place has so much history being a building over a hundred years old, and it is decorated with cool historical beer and wine signs, art, and one of a kind things to sell! She finds great Nebraska wines and beers to share! Five stars from all of us!

It's a cute little hole in walls spot. Lady was super sweet and informative. She did a great job felt very welcomed. Will definitely be back.

Great local place with cold drinks, fun antiques and an extensive selection of beers and wines to try. The owner is super sweet and full of good suggestions for your personal taste. Highly recommended for a quick drink, a lengthy girls night or an intimate date.

A great place to relax, enjoy a unique Nebraska beverage, and meet some great people! Sandy has a great collection of beer and wine sourced in Nebraska. And she has a very cool collection of antiques, gifts, and other cool stuff. Stop on in on your way through Fort Calhoun. You won't regret it!

I am not sure what that 2 star review is about and the comment about "luring" people in to an antique store. Are they sure they were at Too Far North? My husband and I have never had a bad experience here. The wine and beer selection is top notch. And, yes, the owner does talk to everyone but we consider that good customer service. It would be awfully rude to make someone feel unwelcome in your place of business.

I didn't have a single wine I didn't like. Personally, I'd recommend the sandhills cherry!

Stopped by to try the wine, ended up having the best few hours hanging out that we have had in a long time. The owner...she is such a sweetheart and REALLY knows her wines. She is a joy to spend time with! Amazing all around!

Owner Sandy is great - personable and knowledgeable. Cozy, charming space. Excellent selection of Nebraska wines - red, white, sweet, dry - plus great craft beers on tap. Something for everyone and quite the gem in a small town.

Big city liquor and small town service. Owner personally helped me pick out a beer to drink and I also got a cool artsy necklace. Not a huge place but has outdoor seating and comfy indoor couches. Tasted 4 local wines for just $5. The whole place is a cool mix of historic and modern decorations. Worth the detour.

This is such a great place. Sandy, the owner is so welcoming and such fun. A great selection of Wine and Beers, antiques, gifts, etc....We are so glad we took the time to head north and check it out. Loved it all and cant wait to go back.

I only had a few minutes to stop in and pick up a couple of bottles of wine, but had a wonderful conversation with the owner about local beer and wine. We will be back to make an evening out of tasting their unique wines and Nebraska beers.

A terrific family owned spot with an excellent variety of local wines and brews as well. Warm, cheery atmosphere. A sit, sip and talk stop for many locals. Go ahead, drop by and take a peak inside. You won't be disappointed.

The atmophere was great, and takes place in a building that was probably built a long time ago but was solid and well kept. It's in a building that would fit right in the Old Market as it has that same feel to it.
We were there on the weekend during a taste testing (great prices too). They supplied cheese and such as well.
The service was fantastic and the lady was very knowledgible.
We ended up getting a bottle of desert wine to take home.

A beautiful ambience. Our hostess is a pleasure to talk to every time we visit. She talks to all of her guests as if they're long time friends! Worth the drive!
