Walmart Auto Care Centers

I had to urgently get my car battery replaced. I called 4 different places to get a quote and Walmart auto was significantly cheaper than the others and offered a 4year warranty as compared to the others offering only 3years warranty for more than twice the price.
The service was excellent! Right from the person at the reception who had taken my call to the others in the workshop made my experience absolutely seamless. I very highly recommend this place.

Dropped in without an appointment because my windshield wipers were clashing. Angelo the department manager was very helpful. Assessed my wipers for me right away and gave me an honest evaluation of the problem when I could have easily been ripped off. Would happily return here. Thank you Angelo!

Danny did excellent job when I have problems with my indicator light is always on and he fixed it very well after several times coming back to fix.

I ordered a set of tires in Walmart, because the same tires were cheaper than elsewhere. Once I ordered, there was no point to get it fitted elsewhere, because of the hassle of carrying it. Also for the fact that most places wont install unless we buy from them.

After I looked up the Walmart Auto Care Center in google, I was shocked to see so many one star reviews that states everything from wrong tire pressure, long wait time, bad manager, incorrect charges, to warranty not honored.

I was about to cancel and move on. But I thought let me go and talk to the people there. I can always return the tires and not use their service if I dont feel like.

While I went there and spoke to the person at the counter and asked him why do you have so many bad reviews? He said they try to do the best they can, they are honest about prices, service coverages and wait times. But they cannot control the customer reviews.

As far as my experience goes, I was pleasantly surprised. They were polite and courteous. The service was prompt. The car is driving pretty smooth. I did the oil-change there too. If I am dropping off my car, might as well get that done.

I am not reviewing the $10 /tire Walmart roadside hazard warranty. That may be worthless. But I still bought it, because even after adding them, the tire-cost+installation+warranty was similar (if not cheaper) compared to elsewhere.

For the reviewers who are complaining, their experience must have been genuinely bad. The place may be busy and chaotic. But there is a method in the chaos. Here are some tips to get the work done smoothly here:

1. Dont call and leave a message. Your message may not be returned in time, or at all. If you can talk to someone, just ask if you can stop by. Auto center times are 7am-7pm. Dont show up at 7 am, I would suggest 7.15 or so. Also dont come at 5.30 pm and expect to be serviced the same day.

2. There is no appointment to be taken, just first come first served. Actually it could be they give some priority to more expensive jobs.

3. Dont wait around for 1 hour if they say it should be done in 1 hr. Because there may be a queue and that it take may take longer for your turn to come up, than the length of your service. Best is to drop off the car and pick up later. You can even do your shopping (in Walmart, or in Costco which is in the same complex and next door.)

4. They will call you saying your job is done. Just go and pick up when notified.

5. Check the tire pressure written on the door and mention that to them. Otherwise they may keep the default tire pressure (35 psi).

Overall I am pretty satisfied and will go back there if needed. I will review the roadside hazard warranty if and when I get a chance to review it.

When you go there make sure to have time I went there a very hot day and my tire pressure sensor came up after riding a bumpy road so I went they should check the tires they filled the tires instead of 33 they filled it to 43. Just checking took them 35 minutes. At night the light came back up so I went to another mechanic and released some air. And sensor light went away. But the people there are very kind and honest. Just don’t rely completely what the mechanic says go for a second opinion for diagnosis PRICE IS VERY GOOD.

Must have been my lucky day!!! Sashi took great care of my vehicle needs (tire replacement, rotation and balance) it was ready before the time I was told. Smooth day... Thank you all.

I went to the auto
Center in Edison ,NJ for tire balancing and engine filter change. The associate that helped me was Michael. He was extremely helpful in helping me pick out the right filters to put in my car and Did another service for which I did not have appointment for. He was also very helpful to other customers as I waited for my car to be finished. I would definitely come back here again and would recommend Walmart auto center in Edison, NJ to anyone needing tire services or other basic car services. Keep up the good work Michael and Mukash!!

Everybody there was awesome even though the place was packed they got my car done quick .but they make way too little money . Walmart pays the technicians $11.00 an hour that is way too little for it technician

Its a busy place you might need atleast 2 hours for a tire change but the customer service is awesome

They're good, you just don't have a place to sit while you wait for your services. They have tires in the sitting room.

I should have gotten his name, but I didn't oh well. I walked in asked if he could help me with my windshield wipers cause I couldn't get them on he came out BING BANG BOOM DONE! Thank you sir!

I went there for Battery replacement as AAA suggested me to change the battery. The associate is very nice and told that, battery replacement is not required and battery is good for two years.

Somewhat quick on service.

If you have an appointment booked, it is going to be super quick based on the service you are looking for.

Loved the service and work was done very quickly with an appointment which they now do!!will come again

Love it! You get the best prices and you usually always get a show that makes you laugh.

Just like the sign says....they have tires and auto parts.
