Who would ever expect that an OPPD power substation could be a beautiful Arboretum area? They did it. And you can learn about the trees you should and should not plant near your power lines as you walk the scenic trails. Check the handicap access. One path has a bit of a challenge with handicap accessibility.

We took Pepper our Pomeranian to the OPPD Arboretum on a beautiful Shabbat afternoon in February! Pepper made some friends while we enjoyed the sunshine and cool weather (52 degrees)! Looking forward to visiting when the flowers are in bloom!

This is a gorgeous park! Amazing for photos. Would definitely be prepared for waiting in line if you’ll be visiting for photoshoots. In the 8-10 times I’ve been here there has always been an overly saturated amount of photographers taking photos here 15-30.

Guys!! Go check this very cool spot out 💛 fun and easy hiking trails, open spaces, and lots of trees. The highway is a bit noisy but easy to ignore. It was the perfect Fathers Day spot to explore. Coldstone Creamery is nearby and nice treat after a warm walk. Hurts Donuts is super close, too! #oppd #coppergroup #tucklettes #liveomaha

The arboretum was a gorgeous place to walk and is dog friendly. Several short trails loop through different areas of the property, some in the open and some in the woods. There are porta-johns near the parking area.

A nice get-away from the suburban life, and into the nature (sort of). Great place for a casual walk.

Love the living nature museum but humans have really trashed it. There’s trash all over.

My favorite spot in Omaha for walks! They have long grasses, forest trails, and open areas. There is even an area with waterfalls and a gazebo!

It is also a great spot for photos. I have taken maternity, family, and children and baby photos here and am always thrilled with how they turn out!

Highly recommend OPPD Arboretum!

I love the flat and not very hilly paths. The forest is beautiful and so are all the different parts for picture taking or just strolling.
