Miss Elma was a very pleasant lady. She was very kind and just pleasant to speak with. The food was delicious 😋🤤.. white rice and curry goat 🐐... Veggies and lots of gravy. 🤤🤤. Even though it was take out, it was still good 😊💯.

Before I review, I need to say I’m from Queens, NYC and go to Caribbean restaurants all the time when in NYC. Read the recent review and I must say I got the total opposite. Got to the restaurant and was greeting with pure kindness (I think it was Elma). Ordered beef patty and it was good. Decided to go back the same day for oxtail rice n peas before closing early on Labor Day 2023. Again greeted with pure love that by nature I called her mommy and she might have called me son. After already filling my plate with sufficient oxtail, she changed the pot to get another one with full chunks of oxtail. A slight different taste than the usual and was enjoyable. The picture was after I ate some food already. Elma’s made me feel like I was in Brooklyn for great island food. Will be a returning customer.

I ordered 2 large oxtails for me and my wife this was the best tasting food ever. Amazing, thank you so many flavors all in one plate

Nothing but love and good food up in here I go there at least once to twice a week..price are good and the small platter you can eat off of twice ...and watch your mouth It's spiritual people in there... respect!!

I normally eat at a restaurant a few times before giving a rating but the food was so good and seasoned perfectly I just had to let people know. I have had take out from many Jamaican restaurants and the amount of time to get served is shockingly the same across the board so I have no complaints about the service. I had the oxtails and although I feel a few more pieces would have been nice, I was very satisfied with the amount I received. I will be trying the curry goat next.

Amazing Authentic Jerk chicken .. very cozy place. Nice family oriented place. Their cabbage is a must have... it’s like super crunchy and sweet! Oxtail is also good.. they give you a lot too and not all bones like many other places I won’t mention.

Food has always been good and just gets better with time!!!!!

I give it four stars due to my second experience. The First Experience I was annoyed. I walked in, placed an order, then had 4 people walk in after me, was served before me and I was standing there. Annoyed. The second experience (I was hungry, and the other place I was referred to wasn't ready) I had was great. Very friendly, mannerly, and I didn't feel ignored at all. Plus the food was very delicious. Due to COVID, all places have to reduce the amount of people coming in but... hopefully covid goes away soon, cause this restaurant is really nice.

Food always good. Service can long only because people order a lot. I'm also very guilty of this. This is where I go on weekends, dates and just before drinking heavy.

AMAZING FOOD!!! I am visiting from out of town and ordered hoping that it would be good, and it was amazing! Not too salty, and not fatty at all. Plantains cooked perfectly too, and delivery was fast. Big thank you to the Elma’s staff.

Great service. Delicious food. The cabbage...OMG is necessary to try. It's flavor is like no other. The best soul food I've had in years besides my families down south. Enjoy

Truly the best Jamaican food in this area. I was 1 of Elma's first customers when she opened her restaurant. Service is always with a smile. Authentic Caribbean, I can't say enough. Walk in or call ahead. Eat in or take it with you. Um Um good 🍽👌

Delicious Jamaican food. Had the curry chicken. So much flavor. The man and older woman behind the counter were so sweet too. Will be back.

Yesterday was my first time eating food from Elma's although I had been hearing great reviews from friends. Their collards and plantain was the best. Seasoned well. I"ll be back.

I’ve been ordering from Elma’s Kitchen for several years because they serve up delicious Jamaican food including: jerk chicken, curry goat, oxtails, ackee & saltfish, fried dumpling, rice & peas and much more as well as an assortment of cold drinks, including homemade drinks (sorrel, carrot drink & ginger beer). The food tastes authentic, filling and fresh made. The restaurant is clean, with many tables for dining in or you can place take-out orders at the counter.

I love everything about Elma's. The food is so delicious, flavor on top of flavor without being salty.

Food is great, me and my friends and family eat here we just started. And I cant complain about the service or the food, priceare not bad im a big guy I get the $12.00 plates. They last for 2 sittings or maybe to split I wouldn't dare to.
