Loved everything about this place! We did not know it was BYOB-no problem-there is a Wine Rack store,2 doors down. Mimi and all the servers were very nice, helpful and friendly. They bring out a delicious starter of bruschetta and some thinly sliced, crispy zucchini-Yum! We enjoyed all our dishes and all came out hot. Meatballs are melt-in-your mouth tender so is the Fettuccine. All dishes had perfect flavoring. My husband really enjoyed the nightly special of Shrimp Stuffed Grouper. Convenient street parking and 2 municipal lots across the street. Indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend!!!

Always a wonderful dining experience from the waitstaff to the people bussing the tables.,friendly and polite. The food portions are amazing ad we have uet to finish our meal in one sitting. We usually go there around 5 times a year and have never been disappointed. The waiter Rob is terrific! We recommend this restaurant to all our friends and family. It is a must to go try it!!

A wonderful restaurant with friendly staff and very delicious food. BYOB (there is a neighboring liquor store with a good wine selection) and a parking lot across the street.

We came here right after my engagement and they pulled out all the stops to make it special. The ambience is great, the food is amazing (with very generous portions), but the best part was the service. Our server Rob was extremely personable and you can tell he loved his job. He provided great recommendations and it felt like he was celebrating with us. They were flexible with the menu options and it being BYOB was a huge plus. The entire service experience was excellent, there was never a moment our glasses were not full and they checked in at appropriate times to see if we needed anything. Can't say enough how much we enjoyed this place. Easiest 5 stars I've ever given.

We went to Cara Mia for the first time this past Friday. We are not from the area and tend to steer away from Italian restaurants since my boyfriend and I are Italian ourselves and have very high standards. Cara Mia is hands down the best restaurant we have ever been to, top notch quality and excellent service in a quaint atmosphere.

Rob was a fantastic server. He graciously helped us use a gift card that was many years old and was very accommodating. He also made great recommendations that did not disappoint. We cannot wait to come back and bring all our family and friends. The chicken mello and warm cookie cake were an 11/10!

My bf took me here multiple times & every single time we’ve enjoyed it. Service, ambiance, and food are all amazing. Pictured here are the fettuccine Cara Mia & the warm chocolate chip cake 🤤🤤- both were fantastic! I have also had the shrimp scampi and salmon which were delicious as well. Never have I ever had a poor experience & I can’t wait to go back in the warmer weather to sit outside and enjoy my wine & meal!

My family took my dad here for his birthday because his favorite food is Italian and he 100% approved! Cara Mia has a cozy, intimate and enjoyable atmosphere that made our dinner experience very special and memorable. The food was delicious (for appetizers, we ordered the beef carpacio and burrata - amazing!), the staff was very conversational and friendly, and although we were the last ones left, they didn't rush us out and made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Excellent food. All the dishes were hot when served. Good atmosphere. Complementary bread and fried Zucchini chips (a bit cold and not the best, but acceptable). There is a parking lot right across from the restaurant. Parking is free on Sunday in Millburn.

Great little spot to grab a nice meal. I got the Pesto Gncochi and garlic shrimp appetizer, along with the hazelnut Gelato for dessert. There's a nice little spot next door for wine— it's BYOB.

Place is nice, clean and cozy restaurant. Went there to celebrate a 50th Wedding anniversary (we were only like 40 people). I think the place is closed during lunch so we have the whole place to ourselves. The food from appetizers to dessert was soooo....delicious! The portions are very generous. My wife and I had the rib steak and thought we were feeding for 4 (humongous portions). I heard the seabass is to die for also. The dessert was very very good!

Let us not forget the servers. All of them greeted and served us with a smile.

I recently visited Cara Mia restaurant and I must say, it was an unforgettable dining experience. The food was simply amazing, especially the fish dish which left me amazed with its perfect blend of flavors and textures. The chicken was equally impressive, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.

To top it off, the dessert was an absolute delight, beautifully presented and tasted heavenly. The service was exceptional, with the staff being friendly and attentive throughout our meal.

Overall, I highly recommend Cara Mia for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The food is simply outstanding, and the service is top-notch. Definitely worth a visit!

We’ve been here twice so far. As “foodie” people, this is hands down one of, if not, our number 1 Italian spot in NJ/NY. We’ve yet to try anything less than incredible on the food quality side, though that’s not hard to find in NY/NJ, and the service and ambiance are similarly impressive. This could be a preference thing but you really get the “small family” Italian restaurant feel and we loved how the owners/management made time to greet/check in during our meals. We’ve had Italian food in Italy and all over the U.S. (including Boston, CA) and Cara Mia is easily one of our favs.

On the drinks side, it’s BYOB, but there’s a solid liquor store a couple stores down that has a pretty wide wine selection at reasonable prices.

The food is amazing and revisited a few more times after that. I had lunch and dinner and had a great experience.

This place is a hidden gem. If you haven't been you need to make a point to go.. the food is great and so is the staff..

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place randomly. The ambiance was nice, romantic, and the food was excellent! She had the blackened snapper, it melted in your mouth! I had the Chicken Parmigiana, it was the best I ever had, well seasoned and cooked just right. The portions were a good size, we both took to go bags. The desert was also good, I had the chocolate mousse cake, OMG! She had lemon sorbet, both were really good. Great for date night, but there were other groups there as well. Classy, clean, and excellent food.

This restaurant was a great surprise for my birthday dinner. The food offerings were tasty and full of flavor. The friendliness of the staff made the experience unique. We felt like guests in their home. Always a smiling face and any requests were always handled eagerly.

BYOB is fantastic as you can bring your favorite wines. Buckets are provide to keep them nice and chilled.

Even though this was a special occasion, I will be sure to revist for the great food and the phenomenal friendly service.
