Amarone

I was planning on going to the Italian restaurant in my hotel nearby, but it was packed with business people staying there. I then did a quick Google search and discovered this incredible Italian gem! From the moment I walked into Amorone I sensed the incredible atmosphere -friendly, warm, and amazing! I ordered from the specials, first I started with the grilled octopus, which was exquisite! I followed that with the perfect Fall entree, the pumpkin ravioli. I could not recommend these dishes more! If you haven't been here you should, if you have, then you need to come back again and again! Check out the new specials, they're beyond delicious! I'm so glad I did not eat at the hotel. If I were visiting NYC or lived there, I would cross over and come to New Jersey just to eat at this place! Excellent service as well, BTW!

A co-worker and I visited on the recommendation of some locals and were not disappointed! We were met at the door, seated at a table with a view of the NYC skyline and served some of the finest Italian cuisine I’ve ever enjoyed. Finished it all off with a delicious slice of “homemade” blueberry pie. The service was great and the price was reasonable. If I lived in the area I would be a regular here.

A FOODIE’S FIND: AUTHENTIC ITALIAN 25 years running. It’s very popular to locals👏👏👏. Call -in reservation is recommended especially on weekends.

A white tablecloth restaurant that makes me nostalgic of my many visits to Italy. The restaurant ambience is superb with an outdoor patio. It has a full bar.

The wait staff is outstanding 👏👏👏.

The menu is short and sweet. There’s a separate menu of the day’s specials. The also a good wine list.

The Antipasti listings are shareable servings. The Grilled Calamari Special is particularly superb: tender, flavorful👌👌👌. The Caprese is screaming with fresh in-house mozzarella.

Great choices for pasta, meats and seafood. None of the awful American adulterations. I am partial to the Anitra Allá Gennaro: succulent half duck served with risotto and cranberry sauce🤩🤩🤩.

There’s a short lovely dessert menu. And. Fantastic Limoncello to finish off.

Excellent meal and attentive service, owner/Matire D even thanked me by name on the way out…classy place highly recommend. Visiting from out of town but treated like a regular local. Much appreciated

Food was tasted magnificent and fresh, service was outstanding, atmosphere was very comforting and relaxing. This is one of the best authentic Italian restaurant! No doubt about it. Would definitely keep coming back

Had a very enjoyable meal at Amarone Memorial weekend. They’re so friendly there and the food was top notch. Had burrata which was nice and creamy and a veal chop cooked perfectly and veal francese which was not on the menu but they will make other sauces etc if you don’t see it just ask.

Really cool relaxing atmosphere- have been there a few times for lunch including today , food is excellent ! Friendly staff as well!! And reasonably priced too. I recommend !

A proper Italian restaurant with nice atmosphere and friendly service. Good selection of wine by the glass including ripasso and amarone.

Not everything is perfect, but if you are in the area and want proper Italian food it's a great place to go to

My first time on this place.

It is not what I been told.
But the food is good,
the service is ok, the waiters and waitresses don’t know how to recommend a dish or a drink.
I still give a 5 stars because I feel compromise with our local business.
I hope that in the future hire more people with a little of experience.

Enjoyed my dining experience here. Staff is very friendly, prompt, and efficient. The food was plentiful and delicious. I liked that the restaurant had "dining areas" for a larger number of guests and for those who are either dining alone or as a couple. It's a nice neighborhood restaurant.

Although we went in at the last minute before they close, the staff members were very friendly. And of course the foods were amazing.

First time dining here tonight. Everything was amazing! Service was exceptional and everything we ordered was amazing. Ordered 5 meals for 3 ppl because there is so many different dishes to choose from.. Will be a regular here going forward!

Relaxing atmosphere with attentive service. Ate the veal with a mushroom Marsala sauce and it was excellent. I was in the area for work and will definitely be back on my next visit.

had a wonderful dinner here and I'll be back... everything from the stuffed zucchini blossoms to the veal with mushrooms, the pan-seared barramundi, and the passion fruit sorbet was delicious...the service was friendly, solicitous, and crisp... recommended...

Service is friendly and the food is made well. Like a really good home cooked meal. Great flavor in the pasta sauce and the dessert impressed. Good wine was available too. Just what I needed after a big flight.

I cannot believe this restaurant is so close to me and I am only just now going there. The food is amazing. Super fresh, super flavorful, and great portions. Staff is friendly, interior is beautiful, the prides are very reasonable. My phone died so I was not able to take pictures of the food but the branzino was everything you could imagine. I can’t wait to go back and try other things on their menu.

Outside seating was happily provided. The setting was pleasant except for the infestation of ants in a near by planter. No problem as they were contained and didn't interfere with our meal. Another table close by brought their small yappy dog who barked at anyone who happened to pass by...waiter included. I was surprised pets are allowed as Amarone is a lovely restaurant and not a beach bar. Gave another meaning to "doggie bag" to go. I give five stars for the food and service as everyone was very pleased with their meal choice. My only point of contention is the appetizer serving size which could have been larger given the price per portion. Thankfully we ordered a nice variety which were quickly consumed. This was the second visit to Amarone. Nice renovations on the inside have added to the atmosphere. Definitely recommend the restaurant for lunch in dinner. Manga and enjoy!
