ShopRite of Metro Plaza

Today I went to ShopRite at 400 Marin Blvd., Jersey City, NJ, and needed assistance with a pricing charge. I was immediately brought over to the Customer Service area by Reem. Both Tamera and Tiara helped me to complete satisfaction. I like coming to this ShopRite because it is always clean and well-stocked. I also find the staff personable and helpful.

ShopRite Of Metro Plaza is probably the only supermarket in or near downtown Jersey City. This is a 7-10 mins walk from the Grove Street path station and about 12-15 mins walk from the Newport path station. You get everything from biscuits to meat to fruits to Vegetables here. They have a wide variety of spread and the vegetables and fruits are always fresh. It has a bakery where they bake fresh muffins and different breads. It also have a section for fresh meat and this sometimes had a pretty long waiting especially on Sundays. The liquor store is the life saves and the prices here are comparable to Super Buy Rite and had a lot of spot offers which is great. Overall we can get everything here for our day to day needs.

Self Check out was a breeze! Ask for Carlos.... He moved the lines so fast. He made sure everyone had attention and even helped the seniors bag groceries. How nice!

Staff member Haze was amazing today. Helped me kindly, advised me, assisted with packing and payment. I saw her pick up items another customer had dropped. Her employer can be proud and happy to have her working there.

For me this is the best supermarket in town. Ok yes sometimes it is a little bit of crowded but they have good prices and variety.

I love shopping at this Shop Rite. The employees are very helpful and friendly.

William rocks! I called late around 10:53pm on 7/29/23 & he was able to confirm inventory of this spice I needed! Happy to have employees like William actually ready to help customers unlike the employees at the ShopRite in Bayonne NJ.

Firstly, it's really popular so expect long lines at checkout. Secondly, the prices of general groceries such as cereal, tea, fruits and veges are good, and there a lot of options. Thirdly, there's special discounts for local residents which are nice, but the discounted amounts are sometimes smaller than they seem, so watch out. Finally, the store could do with more staff to manage fallen items or just design some of the display stacks better so they don't make a huge mess and block the aisles.

Amazing selection. I periodically try out different supermarkets, but this one just has the most variety in every category. The most brands, the most varieties within a brand. And it's nicely laid out and the staff is very nice. I've been a customer for years and will remain so. Their house brand is also very good.

Standard ShopRite experience. Been going here since i moved to JCity and don't see a reason to switch. My experience continues to be good even years later.

This 5 stars go literally for the service. The guy with glasses serving the aisle 23 is just an amazing human being. Making everyone feel comfortable with their shopping. So kind made my day

This place gets crowded bit the prices are good and the lines move at a fair pace. Don't be intimidated by the express self checkout going all the way down an aisle. There are about 7 self registers, so it moves pretty quickly. Also worth having a BJ's card for next door. Both places are like an oasis in Jersey City.

ShopRite in New York and pretty much anywhere in the United States has always been some of the places I stop at it's not really my go-to place but it's one of the supermarkets that I go to please pay attention to the digital coupons please pay attention when you give them your phone number always use your loyalty cards and pay attention to the sales into your receipt other than that it's a wonderful clean place the bathrooms are always clean a bunch of nice and pretty and there's always plenty of handicap parking have a great day thanks for looking at my reviews

ShopRite is the most economical supermarket in the area. Produce is fresh and prices reasonable. You get many produce items that are not available in Walmart and Target. The queues can be long if your timing is wrong. It can take 20 -25 min to checkout on weekends. But checkout can be a breeze on weekdays mornings. The cashiers are friendly. Sometimes ShopRite prices are even better than the price club store next door. There is a move to have ShopRite be on the second floor of a new building coming up next to it. For that, part of the parking lot has been taken over.

I love this place. It's not as new-looking as other supermarkets, but they always have their shelves stocked and I can always find help. I like the cashiers because they're friendly. I tend to shop at the busiest times (Sundays), but it's never burdensome. Ideally, they'd have more cashiers so I never had to wait in line, but that's unrealistic. Lastly, I can always find a good parking space.
