While in the area I decided to stop and visit this park. It was so well maintained. Very tranquil. Beautiful sights. You can walk the walkway all the way around to the Statue of Liberty and farther.
It is a cobblestone road to the park so be prepared for a very bumpy ride.
The free parking was closed off but I paid 7 dollars for parking and I was there for 2 hours.

Jess and Matthew's surprise proposal at Liberty State Park was amazing and successful The backdrop of the Manhattan skyline was stunning, and the moment was filled with genuine emotion and excitement.

Matthew's planning was spot-on, and the park's setting couldn't have been better. If you're thinking of popping the question, Liberty State Park is a great choice with its scenic views and relaxed atmosphere.

Jess and Matthew, thanks for letting me be part of your special day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together!

The park has become my go-to sanctuary for peace and tranquility. It’s incredibly friendly for pedestrians and runners, even hosting running competitions. There’s a wonderful atmosphere of families and friends enjoying their time together, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Manhattan skyline

I had a fantastic experience tonight visiting Liberty State Park for the first time. The view was breathtaking, especially when I looked up and saw the One World Trade Center Building towering over me, miles apart. It left me in awe and made me appreciate the beauty of architecture and the world we live in.

One of my favorite parks to go to in New Jersey. It has a beautiful stunning view of the New York skyline. Also, you’ll get a nice view of the Statue of Liberty from my distance which is super nice.

We really enjoyed how well-organized this park is. The plants on the territory are taken care of, and the area is also very pedestrian-friendly. There is plenty of parking, and good pedestrian paths.

A must-see state park! There is no nature (it's in Jersey City); there is no quiet (NYC airspace is exceptionally busy); and you won't find solitude (the park is busy, just like the city). But Liberty State Park is the PERFECT parl to view the NYC skyline, the awe inspiring Ellis Island, and a gift from the French we now call Lady Liberty.

The playground here is off the hook! Besides the dope views, there are multiple very large play structures that accommodate children 2 - 20.

Get some! You won't be dissapointed.

This was our first stop after landing in Newark, NJ. We wanted to get a look at the Statue of Liberty. The NYC skyline was a bonus. Great place to hang out and check out the sights.

This place is huge and so entertaining for our 2 and 5 year old. We spent 4 hours here and still didn't see everything. The model train and the racetrack were favorites. Absolutely worth it.

Twin Tower bombing memorial, something you don't see on the TV. This is breathtaking. It's a sad day...took a moment to reflect and understand that everything designed on this memorial is sentimental to the measurements of the actual building and the thought that was put in of how the names are engraved is speechless. How did I find this out? Geocaching. Someone posted all the detailed information of this memorial site. Thank you

I spent 6 hours at Liberty State Park and it was a great experience overall. The views of the Manhattan skyline are breathtaking. There many restrooms left and right and so are monuments. I attended a Water Lantern festival which was really cool. The park was clean as well!

We decided to see Lady Liberty a few days ago. We got lucky and was able to get the last two spots to the Crown!
We arrived and were met with friendly, helpful staff directing us to the correct ticket booth.
The ferry ride was pleasant even in the rain.
Wow! Isn't she gorgeous!
We made it to the top with soggy feet and thankful for our Maid of the Mist poncho's 😍

I lived in NY all my life except for the last 2 years. I’ve been to all the sights, done all the tourist stuff and even took my kids & grandkids. However never have I gone to the Jersey side to Liberty State Park until this past weekend as I was killing time to drop my eldest son off at Newark airport. I’m so glad my son suggested we go here because we’ve never been here and was so glad to had this side of the view of the NY Skyline, NY Harbor and the other side of Lady Liberty.
