The Great Room & Mackenzie Restaurant

Came for lunch in the great room. The view was beautiful. The French onion soup was incredible. Food was good. Cocktails were good. Great stop !

This place exceeded my expectations amidst typical NY Upstate restaurants. Notable great food quality, delicious courses, whatever we tried in Great Room (two days in a row) while staying in Crown Plaza hotel. Service is excellent. Well, given COVID era there is noticeable staff shortage. And I want to thank restaurant staff for their true dedication and courtesy. One can clearly see how best they try to serve and how hard working they are. We had such a great time this Christmas because of places like this!

Fantastic restaurant in every way. Been going to Lake Placid twice a year for the last decade or so. I love everything about the area except generally speaking the dinner options throughout the village are mediocre in my opinion. However, the great room was excellent! Easily the best dinner I have had in Lake Placid. Our server Tim was fantastic. Oh and the prices were incredibly reasonable especially considering how nice the restaurant is and the view you get. Highly recommend stopping in for dinner instead of sticking to restaurants on Main Street.

Quesadilla appetizer and salmon entree were amazing. Not your average quesadilla in any way.

I had the shrimp pasta and spouse had the risotto. Both were great! We shared the skillet cookie with ice cream, which was good.

Very attentive staff and tasty desserts. Loved the tiramisu

The food here is absolutely amazing. When we went to visit they had a homemade pasta and truffle oil with chicken bacon.

The desert was to die for as well. He is the king of buttery cake which also had a chocolate pot off

My wife and I love this place, so we had to eat breakfast there at least once on our small getaway. The staff is so friendly and the food is great.
