Amenia Steak House

Highly recommended Amenia Steakhouse located at 4905 Route 44, Amenia, NY 12501-5442.
Extremely pleased with this restaurant from start to finish.

Greeted upon entering and given a choice of seating. Our waitress, Natalie, was friendly and attentive. She gave us suggestions and checked on us several times during our meal. There was also a waiter who engaged in friendly conversation even though he was not assigned to our table.

Ordered a steak and crab leg combo, which he loved. The seafood was fresh and the steak cooked perfectly. while there were several items I could have eaten on the menu, I was in the mood for salad, so I ordered a house salad,a side of vegetables and fries. But within a few minutes of smelling the yummy food I ordered the biggest steak an porterhouse.
The salad was a generous size and consisted of a good variety of fresh lettuce and other vegetables The vegetables tasted fresh and were not overcooked. The fries were not greasy, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The dessert menu was huge, so we asked Natalie for some suggestions and ultimately asked her to surprise us. She brought us a piece of the Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake, which was a perfect way to end the meal.
Will definitely eat here again when in the area.

I had an excellent rack of lamb. This restaurant is popular for good reason and was busy, but I got seated right away. The wait staff are perfect. They are fast and attentive. My friends had steaks that they reported were excellent as well.

I went there for a 70th birthday luncheon. The food was delicious, service great and it has a real nice atmosphere

We were on our way back to PA, and stopped here on our way back from Taconic State Park. We have passed by many times and decided to give it a try. We are glad that we did! The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Wish this place was closer!! Will definitely stop back when we are in the area again!!

But I wasn't a fan... 😥 ...but perhaps just my preference...my wife's was as usual...excellent...

We stopped in for lunch after visiting one of the farms nearby and we were blown away! The food at this restaurant is phenomenal

We've tasted quite a few and these are perfection 😋 Our waitress was so lovely and very accommodating, attentive and she aced our approval!! 💐. Please forgive I forgot her name (Nicole?) Fabulous !!! My wife and I visited Wing’s Castle. After our delightful tour we grabbed a bite to eat at this place. The food was out of this world. My steak and her crab legs were to die for !!! The waiter/manager was courteous and super friendly. He was also resourceful and gave us tips on wineries to visit.

Came for a late lunch (around 3pm). It was relaxed, clean, with good food and friendly service. Really enjoyed this place.

Food was delicious. Perfect portions. We had burgers and dessert. Will definetly be back!!!

You can never beat such a great atmosphere, and top notch food.

Every time we go to Lime Rock we stop here after for late lunch/early dinner. The entire staff is gracious and friendly
The food is good to excellent and the physical place is great..very warm feeling with the "patina wood"

We have been enjoying many meals here always VERY good, but today it seemed even better than usual. We love the fish and chips (they let us subsite salad or veggies in place of fries.) Today we had a chicken and pasta dish and their burgers. I love a good burger and their burgers were fantastic!! It was piled so high with goodies that my wife had to remove a number of the onion rings so she could bite into it (my mouth is a lot bigger so with some effort - and extra napkins- I was able to bite into it).

Really enjoyed the food and service was great and so friendly. I'll be back!

Sat at the bar,celebrating my friends birthday , The bartender was great, the food was also,BUT....The Only Thing was the Portion Size of the "New England Clam Chowder" was a disappointment... It should've been bigger than a teacup!

Just went here with my boyfriend for a date night and our food was reasonably priced, service and management was super friendly and attentive, and best of all our dinner was amazing. Can’t say a single bad word about this place!

A nice variety of food meeting many different dietary needs. I had Chicken Chipotle panini and eggplant fries. The food was delicious! I was impressed that the eggplant fries were not at all greasy.

Great staff, awesome atmosphere. Food is well priced and modern. Will definitely be back.
