The owner, Denise, is nothing short of fabulous. Her passion for providing a remarkable dining experience is evident in every detail. We had the opportunity to work with Denise on a project, and she exceeded our expectations by sending over a delicious box of treats for our staff. It was such a thoughtful gesture that truly showcased her dedication to customer satisfaction.
Speaking of the treats, they were phenomenal. The box contained an array of mouthwatering goodies, including muffins, cookies, and scones. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and it was evident that they were made with the utmost care and attention to detail. What impressed me even more was the fact that Dancing Bear Café offers gluten-free and vegan options. It's wonderful to see a restaurant that caters to different dietary preferences without compromising on taste.

Found this place by chance on Memorial Day and was pleasantly surprised to find that they just opened. For a new restaurant, they did an outstanding job in getting everything in order on a busy day. Food was simple, wholesome and fresh. The bacon on my BLT was prepared perfectly - crispy and not greasy. Everything arrived quickly and staff were very friendly. Nice outdoor seating area and wheelchair accessible bathroom.

Love that we've got this new bakery café in Pawling! When I went in for breakfast recently I ordered a couple of muffins (apple cinnamon and blueberry, both were freshly baked and delicious), a bacon egg and cheese sandwich (on homemade sourdough, also really tasty), and an iced oat milk latte (thumbs up!). They were pretty slammed when I went in on a Saturday morning but still managed to get me in and out in under 10 minutes. Looking forward to trying some of the lunch menu items on subsequent visits.

This cafe is such a gem! From their egg sandwiches to the Huevos Rancheros + they have incredible hand crafted sandwiches and other lunch items!

Their fresh baked breads, muffins & cookies are to die for & they also have a ton of great gluten free options!

I was blown away by this cool cafe & im confident you will be too! Indoor & casual seating outside in their courtyard.

Excellent tasty food!! I had the chicken avocado panini- absolutely delicious!! Service was friendly and quick! Can't wait to go back!

I rarely write reviews, but this place was memorably good. Stopped in on a whim and everything we tried was absolutely amazing; highly recommend the baked goods (we tried the currant scone, blueberry muffin, and brown butter chocolate chip cookie—all excellent) as well as the gingerbread latte, which was perfectly spiced.

I ordered both a to-go order and ate in. The grilled cheese sandwich came on sourdough bread, which, while not my favorite, was very enjoyable. They have a nice selection of drinks, jarred goods, and pastries.

Amazing and fresh food and coffee. The egg & cheese on their homemade sourdough was delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

I was warmly greeted on a cold day and opted for the Tuscan tomato soup which was soothing. Upstairs seating has a view from the sliding glass doors to the balcony seating. Local art exhibit adorns the walls. Minimalist decor. I was right in line with the heater which was purrrfect for me!

We’ve become regulars here. The people who work here are very sweet and the food is made with great ingredients. Every time we come we are always impressed by this gem in Pawling. Their breads are made in house and very fresh and again nice quality.

Best blueberry muffin I have ever had. And the coffee was delicious too!

The pea soup and everything we bought was perfection. I especially appreciated this note which held my cookie “I hope you know that you are doing better than you think you are”.

Tried this place out today and really enjoyed it! I had a BLT, my husband had the avocado toast with two fried eggs, my kids had a grilled cheese with bacon, and the eggs, bacon and toast platter. I then got the chocolate chip scone and WOW!!! Everything was so delicious. Coffee was good. Staff was super friendly. We will definitely be back!

Their Oatmeal Raisen cookies are so delicious. I got 2 bags of the vegan free and they're unbelievably soft & delicious

The blueberry muffins are out of this world, the sourdough is incredible and the people are all awesome!

Love loveeee this hidden gem here in Pawling…breakfast sandwiches are amazing using quality bacon and plenty of it… Muffins and all the bakery and bread is fantastic fresh as can be… And the icing on the cake the owner and his staff are super friendly and really running this place first class!

The menu is simple but the food and baked goods are fresh and delicious! They also have a back patio area to hang out in, which is definitely the type of cafe Pawling needed.
