Northport Spring & Brake

We used Northport Spring & Brake for 8 broken welds and a bent support rib on our 37' class A motorhome.
What an amazing transaction! From beginning too end, Sean made it a point to work with us and our manufacturer's warranty for a huge job. He was an absolute professional. Made us feel confident from the get-go that we found the right shop for this kind of job. They had no problem with our size rig and the drive in/out was smooth. We'll be going back there for any future work and would recommended Northport Spring & Brake for any motorhome repair.

I bumped into this shop through a Google search. I have to say that they have been extremely professional and know their stuff. I have searched high and low on Long Island NY for a shop that would service my RV and actually so right by me. They actually found other ways of fixing issues that I was told were going to be expensive. This place has treated me so good and have thoroughly looked over my motorhome from bumper to bumper before my long trip. I am extremely happy I can take my trip knowing they will have me ready to safely go on the road. Almost feel like a parent making sure their child has all they need before walking out the door. Northport Spring and brake is the best business I have ever experienced. The people working here are not only highly skilled mechanics, they are also people of character: honest, willing and able to go the distance and then the extra miles. They had the knowledge and skills, and took the time to find the problem that others had tried unsuccessfully to fix. Then they advocated for me to get my extended warranty coverage to pay for more than half the cost!!! Absolutely the BEST!!!!

I dropped off my car at Northport Spring & Brake on Tuesday night July 13th, for a Wednesday service. I gave the keys to Greg telling him that I wanted everything checked on the car and the oil changed. I explained to him that in the last couple of weeks I thought that occasionally during my normally smooth ride there was a noise when I was applying the brakes but I was not very sure.
I spent Wednesday morning being quite nervous expecting a phone call with a list of issues and a huge bill. To my surprise it was the extreme opposite.
i was told that there was nothing wrong with my car.
When I went to pick it up Greg came over and sat next to me. He handed me an invoice with a zero balance and a long list of all the things that were done
in order to arrive at the conclusion of “no service needed”.
1. Technician test drove the car for possible brake noise.
2. Set the car up on a lift & checked brakes at 4 locations.
3. Looked over the rest of the car for possible needed repairs.
4. Checked and adjusted tire pressure.
5. Engine oil life is 2400 miles till it is due to be changed.
Greg also, very patiently, realising that I know nothing about cars, discussed with me my next visit and the service that the car might need as it will be approaching 60,000 miles.
One of those recommended services was “changing the transmission fluid and differential fluid”
I was very impressed with Greg’s suggestion that I should check my invoices from my previous service station. Because if that was done previously, it would not be necessary to be repeated during my next visit.
I was so very impressed and surprised with the entire experience.
During my conversation Greg also said: if I will not change something on my car I will not change it on yours.

Great crew! Professional and knowledgeable staff that got the job done the right way. Very accommodating to my time frame needs. I went for a simple tire repair and they notified me of my needed NYS inspection (which Incompletely forgot about) and they took care of that as well. I highly recommend NPT Spring and Break!

Brought in my Dodge Ram van here for the first time for a brake job. The vehicle was evaluated and worked on in good time. When I picked it up, it wasn’t quite handling at its best, so the shop took it right back in and made good on it. It drives beautifully now, and I’ll be back at Northport Spring & Brake when and if I need any further automotive work done.

EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMMODATING. I called them this morning and asked if they could help with my brakes. I was going to drive down to DC and wanted to check on my brakes before heading down. Its been so hecticfor me that i didnt have to get them checked since early December (I drive a lot). They said if I come down today they could squeeze me in and check them out but if theres an urgent issue we will try andnwork with you. I agreed and told them I'd come down at 12 noon.
I arrived at 1145 and they immediately took my car into the garage. I can tell this place was extremey busy. While I waited there were packages of auto parks arriving while box trucks and cars departing. Phones were ringing off the hook and they never sound rude throughout their phone calls. I wasn't there long because they checked the car and told me they were good to go. They even did a drive check to see if there was any noise coming from them.
They were informative and helpful. I can do my drive to DC care free (until i reach rush hour that is) I would definitely go back them again.

Brought one of my customer’s units to get it inspected , I drove the truck and trailer right into their state of the art building and the inspection was done in a few minutes. This guys are the real deal 🙌

These guys were great, I brought my old Bronco to them to replace the rear spring carriers that had rusted through. They were very polite and the work was done pretty fast.

They even came in under the estimated price, by about a hundred dollars.

Spoke with Sean to make an initial appointment.Picked up my truck, after the work was performed.Dealt with Chris when picking it up.Top notch guys.Great service.
