From our first contact with IJ Morris, referred to them from the funeral home in Florida where our mom made her funeral arrangements, they were thoughtful, efficient, effective, thorough … they made everything relating to the preparation for burial and the funeral totally consistent with our mom’s wishes and the family’s requests. The rabbi recommended was outstanding! We were totally satisfied every step of the way!

My mother passed away Oct 13, just two weeks ago. I had several phone calls with Eric Rubin, a director at IJ Rubin Funeral Home. He was patient, courteous and very professional. He kept my brothers and myself informed on all items pertaining to our mother's funeral. In the paperwork, there was an inaccuracy in the Date of Death for my mother, and that was fixed promptly. In particular, I want to commend Ashley Reilly for her total professionalism and kindness.

I am so glad my parents chose I.J. Morris for their pre-needs agreement. Knowing my parents had their final wishes met meant the world to my family. Matt Fetter, the funeral director at the Dix Hills location, was invaluable during a very difficult time. He was patient, kind, understanding and most of all knowledgeable. He helped us pick the best time for the funeral, arranged for pick up of dad's body from the airport and kept me abreast of everything going on at all times. Best of all, he provided me with a Rabbi to perform dad's service. Rabbi Ronald Androphy did a phenomenal job at dad's service. I highly recommend him and I.J. Morris for any funeral needs. They went above and beyond and were just wonderful.

The staff were compassionate, helpful, and always accessible. They helped us through pre-planning and every step during a difficult time. My mother's remains needed to be moved from another state and it was done in the middle of the night swiftly. It couldn't have gone smoother, more professionally, or with more heart. The Rabbi they provided was excellent for that moment. He really brought passion, spirituality, and appropriate humor to the moment and appropriately honored her life.

My Father passed this past February. I.J Morris was contacted in NY. My Father needed to be transported from Georgia back to NY. Via a plane, but first needed to be taken to a local funeral home before transport to the airport.
I .J Morris handled everything perfectly. They were compassionate as well as reassuring. Not a detail was forgotten. My Family was saved the burden of arranging very complicated Funeral plans during this time of painful loss. A Heart felt thank you to your team I.J. My father passed away back in March. IJ Morris was the second place that we called, I only wish it had been the first place we called because our experience in planning everything for his funeral with Matt, was so simple from start to finish. He was professional and kind, and provided us with everything we would need to know for his services and we couldn’t be happier with the level of service that Matt and IJ Morris had provided us with. The staff at IJ Morris in Dix Hills was terrific. My sisters and I met with Lindsay to pre-plan my mothers funeral. She was compassionate, patient and knowledgeable, helping us understand what we needed to do. Matt was the funeral director the day of the funeral. Everything ran so smoothly. I felt very taken care of. We were not rushed. We had used IJ Morris twice before for my grandparents, many years ago, and their care for their clients remains outstanding.

Pre Planning a funeral for a parent is important, especially when you vow to honor their wishes.
Making that initial call to start the funeral arrangement process, needless to say, one of the most difficult issues to discuss and calls to make, especially when your loved one is still full of life.., Once I starting talking with Lindsay Packard of I J Morris, I mentioned that I was nervous and wasn’t quite sure how or where to start, immediately her sweet and compassionate voice started to ease my mind and she methodically explained the process, answering my questions with knowledge and professionalism but not like a used car salesman that try’s to upsell the already expensive funeral process.
Lindsay made a special effort to personally hand deliver the contract and meet my senior full of life mother, who had specific questions that Lindsay answered patiently and clearly.
Being that the funeral plans were for her, Lindsay with her sweet nature, relieved my moms concerns.

Losing a parent is an emotionally draining experience, and anything that can be done to help ease the heartbreak is a small light- so to speak- at end of the tunnel. I.J. Morris has been there for my family on the occasions of my father's and mother's passing. Their responsiveness, diligence, planning and preparation, guidance, advice, and words of comfort are remarkable. In my opinion there is no equal.

Lindsay was extremely caring, thorough and informative. She discussed things that we hadn't even thought about. After two very non-pressured Zoom meetings, we decided to trust ourselves to her and knew that we had made the right choice. We highly recommend her.

My wife and I would like to thank Lindsay Packard for the help she gave us in establishing our pre-planned funeral arrangements at IJMorris in Dix Hills, NY. Having had a positive experience with such an arrangement when my mother passed away in 2001, it was something I knew I wanted to do for ourselves as well.
I did some searching online, only online because of the ongoing pandemic ( which did make it challenging) but soon came to the conclusion that, among Jewish Funeral Home on Long Island, IJMorris Huntington was the best choice to use for our planning. It has deep root in the New York Jewish Community and an decades and decades of service to it.
Lindsay is a specialist in pre-planning and via emails and phone conversations it became obvious that she was an expert on the topic in every way . We wound our way through details of NY State's thorough regulation of the industry, the cost of services and detail after necessary detail. Under her guidance, we signed two contracts that fit our needs perfectly and , with no reservation at all, I attribute that to Lindsay understanding of our personal circumstances and knowledge of the industry.
And to think, all that from a person we have never met personally...yet. Amazing!

I called I.J. Morris in Dix Hills, NY to preplan funeral arrangements and I spoke with Lindsay Packard. She was very cordial and knowledgable. She walked me through the registration process and always gave me several choices to select what I wanted. I had to call back several times to either change something, or reaffirm a couple of choices. She always returned my calls promptly when needed. If you need to call I.J. Morris in Dix Hills, NY, Lindsay will always be there.

My mother passed away during the Covid-19 epidemic. I J Morris was able to take her of her per her last wishes. They were easy to work with, and extremely helpful throughout the process. They kept me informed, and followed up afterwards. During this difficult time they were able to meet all our family needs and requests. True professionals.

A good friend with no family died recently. I was notified at 9:30 pm and knew he had pre aranged his funeral with I. J. Morris. I can't express how gracious, kind and professional every member of their staff was. They came to his home, where he died at 10:30 pm and took his body to the funeral parlor and made me and my family feel as comfortable as one can be, given the subject matter.

They arranged the funeral two days following his death, and provided a wonderful compassionate rabbi, hearse driver and attendant. I can't recommend them enough. True professionals who really make it as easy as it comes.
