Dix Hills Bagels

The place was there for over 30 years… Problem was they remodeled in the mid 90’s and never looked back. Some of the best bagels in the area. Unfortunately, nothing lasts for ever.. The place closed in June 2023 - at that point while the bagels were still good the place was a dump. Nothing lasts forever. I can’t find a comparable bagel anywhere near by.. First Class, Bagel Boss etc etc. They’re good but they’re no Dix Hills Bagel.. This location is supposed to become “Everything Bagels” second location - original being in Commack. Hoping things turn out okay..

Egg-cellent egg sandwiches!!! Had the need today called it in and they were ready when we got there! Fabulous! The bagels are great too!!!

Excellent Service ,the Home Fires was delicious the bagels and coffee everything was good and good parking too, highly recommended if you are in the area.Also not so expensive as well.

I go there 2x a week, It's got A great patina and the menu hasn't changed in 20 years so you know the food has to be good. It's a great place for someone on the go who doesn't want to deal with the fuss of the fancy bagel shops up the road. This place is all about efficiency the way a bagel shop in New York should be.

I have been a loyal customer of this establishment since my parents moved to Dix Hills back in the late 80s. Even after we moved I have traveled from Kings Park to this bagel shop. Their bagels are simply the best. They have phenomenal spreads as well!

Great bagels. Listen to their recommendations - everything they make is great. Their chocolate chip cookies are homemade and fabulous. I judge bakeries by their croissants and these croissants are wonderful.

Love this place, kept the prices low, yes a little out dated, however not unclean, just well used, quick tune up, great staff, always a smile

I gave them 5 stars because it's usually the best place around for me...but honestly the Monday after Easter I think they gave me Saturday's leftovers because the bagels were far from fresh...my knife even had some trouble cutting through it.....that was a first....I've been going there for well over 20yrs!

You gotta change it up. Do not eat the same thing everyday. Some things you have to try: their vegetable creamcheese, strawberry creamcheese, chicken salad, egg salad, white fish salad (salty) and try their pastrami, egg, and Swiss on a toasted plain bagel (worth it). Enjoy!

There bagels are the best by far on long island.
Most of the time there hot when you get them.
The line out the door has to be for a reason.
They boil and bake them I believe. This is rare
Today because it is more work. They have a nice assortment of cream cheeses to choose from.
They have a staff with very little turn over, so they know your name and face if your a regular.

best bagels around !!!! They haven't jacked up their prices like bagel biz and the rest of the crooks. This place hasn't changed a bit since I was a kid and I love it

No better bagle place on Long Island! This is a must have if you are in Huntington NY. I grab a dozen to take back to MD with me everytime I visit. WORLD'S GREATEST BAGELS HANDS DOWN!

The best kind of dive for a bagel place. The second I walked in and saw the run down old place I knew they would have good bagels!

Amazing bagels! And a variety of cream cheese to go with it - the Walnut, cinnamon and raisin one is definitely worth a try. So is the bacon and salsa!

Great fresh bagels and such. If you go early enough you can actually smell them being made. A little small so it is a tight fit

Best bagels in the neighborhood. They are open early, have terrific menu of spreads, can make you sandwiches and they all taste wonderful.
