Delightful riverside park recovered from its former oil transshipment site past. Features the outline of Fort La Presentation and a memorial to Abbe Picquet, indefatigable missionary to the converted Iroquois during the French regime. Later site of border tussles between the early United States and the British empire in Canada. Well worth a visit and a nice walk around the flat grounds.

The Abbe Picquet Walking Trail is a world class historic site that features the location of Fort La Presentation, a French colonial fort, Fort Oswegatchie, a British revolutionary war fort, and Fort Van Rensselaer, a War of 1812, American fort. The trail winds through the property along the beautiful St. Lawrence River and the shores of the Oswegatchie River.
