Phillips Diner

After going to a service my wife and I needed a place to sit and relax and we decided upon here. We are so glad that we stopped in as the welcoming relaxed atmosphere paired with friendly service gave us the peace of mind we needed. We ordered the steak meal and a breakfast meal and it was way under the price we were willing to spend so we were surprised. I had only one discrepancy, when I wanted a refill on coffee I couldn't seem to get the waitress attention. I assumed she was busy and went without. Still worth the visit I assure you, We will for sure be coming back with our son for a nice afternoon meal!

Great diner, actually from the 50's. Staff were friendly, price reasonable and atmosphere was amazing! Can't go wrong.

If you love classic American greasy spoons this is the place for you. No fuss no frill, just great service and classic diner favorites. I personally like the “garbage omelette” with everything but the sink. 😋

My experience: 6 flies at any given time landing on you or your food. My mistake for ordering fish and chips in a small town diner sure, but to be fair I did ask how it was and the waitress said it was good, and said they use a homemade batter. But the fish was cooked to the point where I couldn't even bite through most of it and the fries were cheap. lol I am still giving 5 stars anyway because the main reason you go is for the atmosphere of a small town diner that countless generations and circumstances have passed through - since 1948! one element that adds to the atmosphere is the musky smell, particularly if you're sitting by the wooden part of the interior.

Love this place! My friend and I shop in Ogdensburg at least twice a year. We always start our visit at "Phil's" for breakfast. Love the old fashioned cozy, down home style. Prices are very good and food is excellent. Friendly staff too. Very good value for the money. We have noticed that many people there are regulars who we see each time we visit from Ottawa. We always miss a regular named Bruce who was a very sweet veteran who passed away during covid but we have since met other vets there. Everyone seems to know each other and we love the atmosphere. Keep doing what you're doing because you are doing it right. We look forward to seeing you again in the spring.

Just happened across your lovely retro diner. The Black &White tiles floor, the counter service, the atmosphere... 5 star all the way! Like walking into the late 50's/early 60's and experiencing the coziness and friendliness of people who have known you for years. Thank You so much!

The food is great and reasonably priced. I grew up in this area and can remember when it was half the size it is now. The owners are great people.

Good home town cooking.. Services always friendly, and food comes out fast to your table.

Breakfast special was well worth the trip. Be aware that they don't take credit or debit cards, but we liked it so much that we went twice. Found it by accident on the way to vacation and made sure to stop on the way back. Great and friendly service. We will definitely stop there again when out that way.

Great Diner in Ogdensburg! I had to pick up a package at the UPS Store and asked where a good place for breakfast was and they directed me down the street to Princes Diner!
Great breakfast! We had the special with eggs. Sausage, hash browns and toast.
Food was quick and the taste was excellent. The toast was sooo buttery!
Prince's will definitely become a stop for us when we cross the border!

Excellent service! The diner made me feel like a kid again with my grandparents, breakfast is the greatest and most important meal of the day and happily they serve that all day! This is a must go to for affordable full breakfast for only $7
