The Stonefence Resort

Was there for 4 1/2 months for work. Owner and staff are awesome. Whomever posted a 2 star review is nuts. Just look out the window and see the majestic St. Lawrence River and Canada. Fishing right off the dock. Frigging incredible.

We were stuck in Ogdensburg due to the car accident. Luckily we found this hotel/resort. Staff were amazing and super friendly, she even drove us to nearby gas station to get few things. Complementary breakfast was really good. Location is great and they have a nice deck by the river where you can spend some nice time . Room was nice and all kinds of rooms as per your requirement.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here and fully recommend if you ever need to stay in this small town.

My family and I were stranded during the big Blizzard of Christmas 2022 and couldn't have found a better overnight stay to land into. The grandfather and grandson who run the hotel treated us like family and made a completely disastrous situation manageable. God bless this family! Despite everything shutdown due to the storm, we were provided cereal, milk and pizza which was a life saver for 3 stranded small children.

The room we had was very nice. Large, clean with 4 beds, 2 TVs and a nice bathroom. Great room with a nice window view of the St. Lawrence River. May consider staying here during the summer!

The rooms were very large. Very friendly staff. They made our hockey team homemade pancakes and French toast for breakfast. My view was beautiful. Older resorts however full of charm.

I have had the pleasure of staying here throughout the last few weeks. It's definitely a laid back place, but the staff treated myself and other guests well. They have access to a dock on the St. Lawrence and a decent amount of Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the stars. A gazebo at the center of the property houses picnic tables and grills. Wasn't sure if the washer or dryer worked though.

The staff are incredibly nice. Room is comfortable and clean. I got in rather late (almost midnight), and had a malfunction with the room key. The owner came over right away and sorted it out. He called back a few minutes after I left to make sure the heat was working, and I was settled in. They offered to upgrade my room in the morning if I wanted to, but I was already unpacked, so I stayed.

My room was AWESOME! ! I had the jacuzzi suite. The room was huge . That jacuzzi tub was OUTSANDING!!! It was also HUGE! My room was very large, very private, very comfortable! ! Kitchenette was perfect. Bathroom was clean and nice. The king size bed was also very nice and comfortable, warm and cozy..The breakfast was simple but very good. The lady at the desk was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The room rate was very fair!! I will definitely be going back!!!

Great service and outstanding views. Highly recommend for a stay on the st Lawrence. Breakfast food and service were also Outstanding. The owner goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is a good experience.

rooms are spacious and clean!! great views. staff is friendly. breakfast is hot and ready. they have been doing alot spot of work renovating outside since we were here 6 months ago. looks great!

Great place to stay. Friendly staff. Good continental breakfast. We have stayed here 2 different times. Pet friendly. They have townhouse type rooms that are for a bigger family.

Very comfortable motel on hillside overlooking St Lawrence River. Clean rooms, remodeled bathrooms, good card key locks. Excellent buffet breakfast. Both water and land access possible. Large variation in room from simple motel to full kitchen. Microwave and fridge in all rooms. Well kept grounds. Tennis and basketball on property.

We had a wonderful stay there for 4 days. Beautiful view of the river and a very spacious room. Also, a very welcoming owner.

Amazing place! went here over the weekend the staff was very helpful and nice. The all you can eat breakfast was great. This is a very quiet and peaceful place. It was a 6 hour drive for me and I am already planning my next trip :) Thanks Bruce you are the real MVP.

The rooms are incredibly well kept, tidy, and spacious. The St. Lawrence river is only a few steps away and there are countless of activities in the surrounding area. The Stonefence Resort truly is a home away from home!!

My son was stranded at customs from canada. The staff was very friendly, helpful an pleasent. There confidence an comfortable accommodations allowed for a safe place one could relax an think untill arrangments could be made to get him home. Thank you so very much.

The rooms are very spacious and well kept! Nothing like waking up to nature in the morning. That's a plus for me. Also the St. Lawrence river is walking distance.
