Went above and beyond to fix my reel for me during the height of the season. Made time to talk to me and explain the details. They did great work with a quick turnover, which I appreciate.

Everyone there was friendly and the techs had expert knowledge of their craft. Small shop with big integrity and amazing customer service. Plus, everything you need to catch ‘em up.

Some tackle shops have you walking out the door feeling like you bothered them. They welcome you in.

I wont go anywhere else for rigs, hardware, or bait. they carry a huge variety of bait. they have their own fishing gear repair/maintenence service which is great. they even had spearing box nets in stock which can be tough to find. The employees are real fisherman with real knowledge.

Capt Mark and his family are the best fishing resource anywhere in the area. We've been lucky enough to also have chartered Capt Mark to learn the area and hot spots around the harbor and Long Island sound. Doing so with the rods, reels and tackle all purchased from Cow Harbor meant on our recent trip we ripped into striped bass, black sea bass and a whole mess of feisty blue fish. We had the single best day of fishing in years with Capt Mark thanks to his great attitude and sage advice on everything from knot tying to jigging techniques. This is your one stop shop and it's not some faceless corporation - it's local and family owned and run.

These guys are absolute magicians with rod and reel repair. I brought in two Penn Senators that had been in a shed for 15 years and Cow Harbor got them looking and feeling like new. Cannot recommend them enough.

Captain Mark & his boys.... Are GREAT! We did a family boys fishing trip, including a couple younger members (under 10) Mark put us on fish & also took his time to explain EVERYTHING! I highly recommend this family team & I our family definitely plans on returning to them with future business!

These guys are great. Very knowledgeable about all things local. And the thing is, there prices are great. I bought an expensive reel from them and later saw it was slightly less then what Amazon was charging. I buy everything from these guys. Highly recommend!

Love my custom 60lb Boga. I got it in blue with the paracord underneath and green numbers on the scale. Couldn't be happier. Also, I called before I ordered, the person that picked up couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. 5 full stars and 2 thumbs up.

Phil, I want to thank you brother for all the info that you gave me today. I went there with my little girl who is 12 years old and she wanted to go fishing with Daddy today. Even with the cooler weather, SHE WANTED TO GO FISHING!!! Amazingly, I spent an hour at that Bait store and she didn't complain for a second! Then we went to go look at the spots that he recommended and unfortunately it wasn't the correct tides to go fishing but at least I found the spots to go to next weekend with her. Mark and his son Phil are two of the nicest people you'll meet. Great place to get gear /bait and professional advice. Mark is also a true craftsman. This is THE place to have a custom rod made or refurbish one of your old favorites.

I would highly recommend taking a charter fishing boat with Mark. I brought friends to visit Long Island and he was very friendly and made sure our time was great. We caught 20 fish and everyone had an amazing time. Every time I go back to Long Island and want to fish this is the only place i will go.

I'm out of state so I put in an order over the phone. It was an extremely easy process. I'll be ordering again in the Spring. Highly recommended if you're looking for eel skins, rigged eels, or eel skin plugs.
