We had a gathering in the back room at the Freight House and couldn't be happier. They were easy to work with and we got exactly what we asked for. The staff was attentive and our guests really enjoyed themselves. If you are looking to host an event in the Ogdensburg area I would highly recommend them. Thanks again for a job well done!

Best Prime Rib in the area at an affordable price, I always order double mashed potatoes and nothing else to add. The entry comes with salad or the soup of the day.
Oh, You should try liver and onions, itis the best as well.

Dined here with a larger party on a Saturday night. Even though they had a sign stating the kitchen was short staffed, all of our food came out in a timely manner and everything was very good. Portion sizes were generous. Our server, Vickie, was wonderful.

The first time eating here with four adults and one toddler! I wish I could put this place as the BOMB for the rating but I had to settle for five stars....excellent food, awesome service (Mindy—THANK U!!!) treated us very very well and the atmosphere was terrific to keep the toddler busy until our food came. We just had a very great time here and plan on going again many times!! Thank you everyone for the awesome time we spent there!

Found this place after leaving another place where we waited for almost 15 minutes without being waited on, with only 2 other customers in the joint. Good thing that happened, or we never would have found the Freight House. This place is awesome, believe its an old train depot, train memorabilia everywhere, model trains running on tracks overhead. Service was good, food was good and came out rather quickly, and the prices were very reasonable. When we got the bill I thought they forgot to charge us for drinks at first because it was so low, but nope, the prices are that good. Will definitely stop again next time I'm in town.

Excellent food, generous portions. At our table, we had a variety of entrees. Prime rib, chicken marsala, boneless chicken wings, shrimp scampi. All were delicious, everyone was happy and most of us had leftovers to take home.

This restaurant is a must for anyone who enjoys trains. I absolutely love but they converted an old train station into such a charming restaurant. The entire restaurant is train themed to include a working model railroad that circles the bar area. It's so much fun to see all the train memorabilia. We enjoyed our meal. The food and service were very good and it's fun to imagine what it would have been like decades earlier when working for a trains were pulling in. From the outside it looks like they have room for expansion.

Fantastic experience all the way around. Good food, reasonable prices, and love the collectibles. Only down side was I wish the trains would have been running. Would be more than willing to come back when I am in the area again.

Great Restaurant and Bar set in an old train station setting. Small private meeting room available (20). Friendly staff, good prime rib, good French onion soup, fresh salads. Group of 15 accommodated for drinks and dinner with meeting - all happy.

Good afternoon and Happy Mother's Day this Sunday , fellow " North Country Folks "!
Let's honor this beautifully developing day with our loved ones and pay homage to the bests of our bests , our Ladies and as always OUR MOMS ! We can PAY tribute to their lifelong efforts and unending love for their flock by PAYING FOR a well deserved holiday and less stressed experience that she didn't have to whip-up .
My wife and I are " Downstate Transplants" for the last 3 1/2 years and loving it more every day . As much of an Oasis as Saint Lawrence County and its Many Rivers provide for all to enjoy , the same cannot be said for the Eatery Options that exist here . The" Eating-out Dining Desert Experiences" have only been more pronounced and dark shadows of COVID-19 we all have endured nearly figuratively and literally put the final nails in all establishments , good and bad !
Yesterday , we had our first time ever visit to one of the very few POSITIVE JEWELS OF OUR LOCAL FARE IN HOMETOWN USA ! WE are talking about " THE FREIGHT HOUSE " a longtime fixture in Odgensburg , first a part of Regional Railways Long Past Glories and then more recently / presently and FUTURE OF VERY BRIGHT LOCAL ANCHORAGES AND EXPERIENCES FOR ALL FAMILIES TO ENJOY .PLEASE SUPPORT THEM ALL WITH YOUR PATRONAGE AND WORD OF MOUTH.
Giving a very healthy glimpse to old timers quality , flavor, quantity , atmosphere and personable service "THE FREIGHT HOUSE" leads the way as a HEALTHY ALTERNATIVE from mass franchised fast food pop-ups !
Special recognition must be given to our server MS. ALINA who made us feel like two of the REGULARS right from the start and was attentive to our every need without being asked or needing to be asked twice . Good for her and good for us fits the visit to a " TEE " !
I called them this morning to see if they were open today , on this special Sunday , and they are so there is no excuse not to motor over there and catch some good food and a nice experience for yourselves .
Gabrielle had answered my call and was very gracious and helped me remember how to spell " ALINA " . I will tell you good people that is the ONLY THING I needed help in remembering about her , everything else is very easy and a pleasure to recall .
