The Pump House Bar and Pizzeria

Boneless Wings, Mozzarella Sticks and Pizza were tasty and served hot. Great beers on tap. Service was friendly and quick. Thank you, Pump House, we'll be back.

I decided to give the updated/new version of "The Pump House" a try on 12/29/23 since I saw so many reviews that mentioned everything was updated/different/refreshed. I was NOT disappointed. My girlfriend and I decided to eat lunch there. She had the chili with garlic knots and I had the classic burger and fries. Absolutely delicious all the way around. The burger had so much flavor including a fresh bun. The chili flavors dazzled my girlfriend's tastebuds. I only got to try one spoonful, but I can agree!

We both decided that we wanted to get a couple of the new versions of their pizza to take home for dinner in the evening. We were very impressed in this respect too. The crust was JUST right. Nothing burnt, it's NOT cracker crust (THANK YOU!) and the topping flavors all came through in each bite.

Finally, service was fantastic, friendly, and timely. We are both thrilled to have another quality place to dine close to home for VERY reasonable prices, especially considering the portions and quality received.

I had a client meeting near Lithopolis and decided to stop in to the Pump House for lunch. I have been before and LOVE their Whole Hog pizza. I decided to try one of their new offers which was one of the burgers. It was absolutely delicious. Cooked just right. Juicy and little crispy bits on the edges. Perfection! Service was on point and it was cozy. Simply can’t go wrong with their menu. Can’t wait to go back and get another pizza and try the black garlic garlic knots.

Wonderful evolving tavern experience. You can really tell the owner is striving for a homey welcoming vibe with delicious food.

We went on a night that was unexpectedly busy. Way more customers than staff, but the staff was really nice and did well with the circumstances. Pizza was good.

This location has gone through a lot of changes and turmoil over the last few years. I wrote a lengthy review on the previous establishment there and how disappointing it was in all aspects hoping they would change and it got worse.

This on the other hand is the opposite. Very good food, hand made pizza, good beer, great appetizers, good menu. Pump House brings it back to Lithopolis! I highly recommend their pizza. It takes about 30 minutes but it’s great quality. My only complaint is I think the pizza is a little expensive with toppings being $2.75 each putting a large easily 20+. A little steep for pizza. Other than that it’s solid!

UPDATE; Went there again and had an outstanding experience. I was informed that they over cooked my pizza and that it would be another 35 minutes. Without reacting at all, the bartender (who has outstanding customer service) informed me that the food would be on the house and that I could get a drink at the bar as well due to my inconvenience. My wife then picked the pizza up later and was greeted by the owner (who also values his business and has great customer service). They REFUSED payment and in turn made 2 flat out AWESOME pizzas.

This is not the old business, this is the new where they actually take pride in what they do and their product. Hats off to you guys and I hope your business is blessed. It’s the little things like that, that will set you apart. You will see me and my entire family back again and again

Update 2024; I did notice that they charge a 3% fee for the use of a credit card. Not a fan of that, feels like a “nit pick”. As a restaurant, I feel that they should cover that for their customers.

An unexpected treat! The food was delicious, the bar and beer options were plentiful, the service was awesome, and the owner was on site and working hard to make us feel welcomed and appreciated.

It was a great time. Good food, fast-ish service, and good prices for what you get. 10/10 recommend

Ate for the first time Friday night. Drove all day from Boston. Outstanding Pizza, top of the line. Loaded Tots, cold beer and friendly atmosphere. Had to come back Wednesday to introduce this place to relatives. Highly recommend Pizza, Wings (with boom boom sauce), Skins and Tater tots. Great selection of drinks and craft beer.

Love the place. Good food,nice people and great atmosphere for your family. A family run establishment with folks who really care about their customers.
10 neighbors from Newark went and had a great time, we all want to go back again soon.

Amazing friendly staff, excellent pizza and wangs, the new owners are creative and are shifting this restaurant to another level. The sauce is homemade and delish. I'll be back when I visit again. Family friendly too.

Everything very good! Was excited to try the new place out as we had not been in since it had changed owners prior. Salad, sub and pizza all yummo!

Came to try the new pump house and it didn’t disappoint. Great to see the owner making the food, behind the bar, and take/run orders really shows how hands on he is with making his business a success.

Best pizza in the area. Italian subs are great too. Nobody in the Canal Winchester area can compete with the prices either.

The garlic parmesan wings were so good. I also enjoyed the cheese steak sub. Definitely, going back.

Now that the Pump House is back, the place is much better. The layout is much more convenient. The staff are great. The food was delicious. I'm excited for the new management. So happy the last disappointment is gone and we can visit again. Highly highly recommend!!!
