Dr.Winhusen has been my family doctor for over 25 years. Always attentive to my needs. Very easy to talk to. Appointments are easy to schedule on line. Best family physician ever.

I posted experiences that my sister had with Emory ER doctors, in hope that
people not base their opinions , about Doctor Winhusen , according to previous reviewer, Gail Sweeney.

I think, from what my sister described about the pain, Pancreatic cancer is inevitably complex to diagnose if pain occurs at least a few months before either tumor or stone is shown up. It is impossible to think that pain is not caused from what we eat.

My sister was in pain for three months without treatments. To make it worsen, three Emory ER doctors told her husband not to bring her back because nothing they could do for her; noted that she exaggerated the pain in her file.
Unfortunately her husband had to bring her back to same ER with tear. She weighed about 90 lbs because she couldn’t eat. This time, X-ray shown, stones were in her
Pancreas, but too small to be removed. Later on that day, pancreatic cancer was identified, quickly she was in stage 3.

Dr Winhusen has been my primary doctor since I was in my twenty. I followed him when he joined Rudemiller Family Medicine. I was healthy, no ache or pain until I got hit by road raging when I turned 48 years old. I can write a book to tell about my experience with the surgeons and pain management specialists in greater Cincinnati.
Let just say that, I wouldn’t be standing above the ground if God did not bless me with Dr Winhusen. Dr Winhusen listened, and I tried to diversify the pain description, to help him understand the pain level that I had; as I understood that pain was subjective, that had social stigma attachment, and very complex to identify the causes . Regardless I feel so ashamed to be under Medicare at the age 56; because I cannot give 150% on the job anymore; no company wants to accommodate the sporadic schedules; doctor Winhusen listens and treats me just the same, kind and respectful. I am under his care per physical and mental prescription, in addition to general care, such as diabetes. For that, I thank you. I take his recommendation very seriously. I see him every three months . I can reach out to him with questions without going to the office. If I have reoccurring symptoms, he just calls in prescription unless further diagnosis is required.
I pray that MS Gail Sweeney, got responsive treatments . I pray she lives without pain and pancreatic cancer free.

I was a patient for several years, and thought he was attentive to my issues. However, in June I had been having stomach pains for several weeks and felt like he was brushing me off. He suggested more fiber in my diet, which I did. No help. He also suggested I had "medical student disease" (hypochondria). Then he said it was IBS, however did no abdominal scans...even when I told him 2 weeks later that the pain was getting worse. I finally went to the ER. I have pancreatic cancer. And rather than call me himself, he had a nurse call to say "sorry!" I only gave him a star because it was necessary to be able to leave a review.

Every time i have had anything wrong at all it always seems that he will brush you off, if you challenge his opinion he will begin to attempt to belittle you. Been a patient for ten years but last four have been unbearable, cant wait to leave and have new medical advice.
