I've had a post office box here for years with no problems. I know the mail gets delivered to the Meramec location first so sometimes it takes a couple of extra days after it's reported "delivered." Staff has been friendly and helpful when I need assistance.

I went in there with a positive attitude and their attitude was reciprocated. I only had to ship a package and deal with a current resident issue (which took only 2 minutes), but the clerk was very helpful.

I've so far had no problems here. Customer service was fine and every package I've sent through here made it where it needed to without delays.

Quick and easy

Bad stuff first: The hours are VERY RANDOM. They close down for lunch at times that aren’t posted. I attempted to drop off packages today and was greeted with: “OUR COMPUTERS ARE DOWN” handmade sign and locked doors. This was on a Saturday, so it’s fitting, and I still had other open post office options. There is no parking lot, so it’s street parking, but that’s never been an issue for me. You won’t find much in the way of packing supplies, so don’t expect to find priority boxes in many sizes/quantities, packing tape, etc.
Next, the AWESOME stuff: this spot is very close to my place, the staff is VERY, VERY friendly, which, as we all know, is a rarity when your faced with going to the USPO. There is hardly ever a wait, and if so, it’s less than 5 mins TOPS. I once got bit*hed at by some lady that assumed I jumped the line (obviously not the case, and then offered her my spot), so this is to say that the clientele is pretty, uh, interesting, BUT the workers behind the counter are AWESOME: super efficient, helpful, and friendly. It sometimes feels like my own personal post office, as I get in and out quickly.

Google maps refuses to update the hours but THIS OFFICE IS CLOSED DAILY FROM 2-3p!!!

One issue is out of the staffs' control. When a tracked package arrives at the "63118" postal facility, it's marked as "delivered" to a box, but it's really not. They are supposed to deliver the mail and packages to the Jefferson station by 10:30, but it's often much later, and there isn't a physical notice in the PO Box until the following day.

Rarely leave reviews and more rarely negative ones. My experience at this post office has not been positive. Not so much the employees but what happens afterwards. They lost 2 packages - one was 11x17 so not something tiny - never found them. One the shipping label on the box was returned mangled (a long time later) but at least we knew. Now a much needed 9x14 envelope package I expected to be in another part of town in St. Louis, MO yesterday tracking shows it is in Indianapolis, Indiana! NO more shipping from this location. Two stars because I can walk there on my lunch hour...too bad you can't count on what happens afterwards. I seriously was thinking I should mail this somewhere else...but took another chance.

room for improvement

This place is terrible as far as how it's run. The lady is really nice but like today I show up at 1:45 to sign on the door says clothes from 2:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. for lunch why are you closed at 1:45 it don't make no sense then before you could at least get into the PO Box section now it's locked completely.

Super inconsistent hours for lunch and the doors are locked so you don't have access to your PO Box. Also, appplies to Saturday. Says it’s open until 12:30pm, and yet there were at least 10 of us gathered outside, some knocking on the door, and all of us baffled by the fact there were personnel inside but the doors were LOCKED at 12:03pm
