As a passionate reviewer, I could not resist the opportunity to explore Fairview Park when I was nearby. I accessed the park from the north entrance, which was located in a lively urban neighborhood. But as soon as I entered the park, I felt a dramatic shift in the landscape and the mood. I followed a long road that ascended to a hilltop, flanked by trees on both sides. From one side, I could admire a panoramic view of the city and the azure sky. The road was also popular among walkers and runners, who enjoyed the fresh air and the scenery. I noticed that there was no designated parking area, so I had to park my car along the street, hoping not to cause any congestion. I spotted a small lookout point and decided to stop for a while. The vista from there was breathtaking, with nothing to block the sight of the city below and the sky above. I wondered how it would look at night, with the lights twinkling like stars. I was about to leave when another car arrived, making me feel uneasy. I continued my drive deeper into the park, along the winding road. At the other end of the road, or the start if you came from the opposite entrance, there was a grassy area with some sports fields and a playground for children. Across the road, there was another lookout point. The area was fairly clean, but it showed signs of neglect. The park was like an island of greenery, surrounded by hills. And to add to the contrast, there was a higher neighborhood that overlooked the park. This was a typical feature of Cincinnati's topography. As I looked up, I saw a building that resembled the one at UC. From a distance, it looked like a medieval castle, or even the Hogwarts castle from the famous Harry Potter series, a majestic sight indeed. There was no one else using the park at that time, except for some runners and joggers.
Overall, Fairview Park did not have much to offer in terms of attractions or facilities. However, it excelled at providing stunning views that could be ideal for hosting events. I suppose if you live in the area, it could be a nice place for a stroll any time of the day.

Love the scene of the city and people should take more time to relax there. I miss the small rim on the basketball court, because as a kid that got us as close as we could be to the NBA. CJ Gray from Kerry Toyota in the 2017 Toyota RAV4 in Cincinnati Ohio at Fairview Park.

I love Fairview Park. It's so beautiful in the spring when the honeysuckle is blooming and the fireflies are out. It's a great place to jog or walk my dog. There is a couple of nice lookouts, one view admiring the train yard and the other with a very pretty picturesque vista of downtown. Also a stone and tiled staircase of exactly 200 steps to Mcmicken Avenue if your up for it, be forewarned tho- it's an extremely long trudge back up those 200 steps. There are some really beautiful old growth gingko trees there too, and I found a trail near the front that may be used for hiking or maintenance, I'm not sure, it was pretty overgrown so I didn't follow to the end. May go back with my machete though hehe. All in all it's a nice little park that my dog and I got to everyday because it's a stone's throw from the house, so I'm kinda forced to like by lack of choice lol! But seriously, I genuinely love Fairview. Take your loved one on a walk through there at dusk in late May and June when the honeysuckle is in bloom and the fireflies are out. It's almost otherworldly with the firefly light blinking and the smell of the honeysuckle suffocating your senses and the tall graceful ginkgo trees canopying it all. Lovely place in the city and always very quiet.

Great park for everyone. I take my dog here on walks here and I like that this park has the dog water fountains. Also has a pretty good playground as well as charcoal grills. But the view is the best aspect of it. Theres benches that face an overlook of the city. Really great view in the evening.

Very nice view of the city. Nice area so no worries. Been going to this park since childhood. Over 40 years and the park is still great. Only downfall when driving the street through the park is one way so you can only enter on McMillan Avenue. Otherwise great park and plenty of private areas to relax and sit away from play ground area.

I went for 4th of July fireworks. It was fun. The kids played on the playground while all the different cities and municipalities fireworks went off up down and across the river. It was safe, as a police officer did come through, but fun and peaceful.

Beautiful view of the city. A very quiet place to bring a friend or family to enjoy the day or just for a brief visit. I definitely keep coming back time and time again. Easy parking all over and many places to walk and enjoy nature.
