The food and experience at The Grill was so great! I highly recommend trying it out for brunch or lunch! The papa poblanos was amazing and we LOVED all the cocktails!
Our server was Urbano, he was the nicest and took excellent care of us! 🫶🏻

We want to go back and try the chicken and waffles next! 😍

Short review:
Nice staff, they have VERVE coffee! Chicken & waffles are fire.

Longer review:
I had one of the best breakfasts ever years ago in Monterey. It was a place that served verve coffee & had these bomb chicken & waffles with country gravy. I always wanted to go back to that place but found out they closed. However I did some digging & found out that that former owner owned THIS restaurant & they also serve Verve coffee (which is the best coffee) & made the same chicken & waffles. We decided to go here & it did not disappoint, it was once again one of the best breakfasts I have ever had.

I’m not sure how it makes sense to put together fried chicken, sweet syrup, slightly spicy country gravy & a waffle to make a perfect breakfast but it just works & is I believe a marvellous example of God’s good common Grace.

There are many things that will keep me coming back to Monterey, & this place is definitely one of them.

Their crab Benedict was also pretty good, & its right next to a gold course & you have a view of the ocean.

Came here several times now, had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was really good, I wasn’t a fan of the gravy seemed like it was missing something. But the Bloody Mary’s we got were killer, made really exceptionally and the customer service was really friendly and top notch. I love the atmosphere and elegance of the place. Definitely come here

I can't think of a better way to start the day than to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast at The Grill at Point Pinos. We didn't go just once; we had to go twice!
During our recent getaway to the area, my wife and I decided to try The Grill at Point Pinos. Yes, we were staying right around the corner, but we had always wanted to try The Grill. It did NOT disappoint. For our first morning, I enjoyed the Bacon Cheddar Biscuits and Slightly Spicy Sausage Gravy. My wife enjoyed the Papas Poblanos. We also ordered coffees and a carafe of traditional mimosas. First, let me say that the portions are large. A great value for the price. Just beware that if you're not super hungry, ask your server for suggestions for a lighter meal. Speaking of servers, we had the absolute BEST. Ana is such a wonderful person. Attentive but not intrusive. And we had the joy of her service both mornings! A wonderful smile and super pleasant demeanor, she is just great! We were even greeted by the GM (my apologies for not remembering her name) on our second visit and she remembered us!
During our first trip, we opted to eat outside as it was a beautiful morning (the fog had burned off). Just keep in mind that the birds like to sit in the overhead trees. :-). But we opted to eat inside on our second visit due to the foggy morning. My wife and I both wanted something "lighter" for breakfast, so I chose the Thick Cut Ham and Eggs (came with 2 slices of sourdough and country potatoes) and my wife ordered the Spiced Apples and Toasted Pecans Waffle. Again, large portions! Definitely a great value.
Both meals were great. We enjoyed the views and interactions with everyone at The Grill.
Looking forward to visiting again in the near future! Highly recommended.

Food was amazing, staff was so friendly and the views were beautiful. We got the chicken and waffles and it was the best we’ve had. The fried chicken is award winning and it lives up to it. The eggs Benedict was really good as well. I highly recommend

Amazing food, cocktails and service. Michael makes a helluva of a whiskey sour (according to my son) and the best greyhound I’ve ever had (don’t tell my sister in law; she makes a darn good greyhound). A local experience not to be missed (according to a local).

Had a great breakfast while passing through on vacation. Urbano was great bringing a bowl of water for our dog right away without it being requested. Also love the "fur baby" menu selection!

The perfect combo: Great views (from patio seating), great service, great food, and all that at surprisingly affordable price! We has the grilled veggies sandwich, it was good and the fries were even better. The ham quiche and houveuos rancheros were both excellent. The service is attentive (though the waiter forgot our ketchup and mayo, even after confirming twice). They also have good espresso, as well as very large TVs to enjoy the games.

As diabetics my husband and I can find it difficult to eat out. We are usually limited to salads with a protein. After a round of golf we stopped into Point Pinos for lunch. I was amazed that they have a Keto/Low Carb menu section with 6 fantastic options!!! We each had their bacon cheeseburger salad and it was fantastic.
We live locally in Pacific Grove and because of their sensitivity towards those of us with dietary restrictions, this is our new go-to restaurant. They made our choices easy.
Kudos Point Pinos! More local restaurants should follow your lead!!!

Our server was Urbano G and he gave us excellent service which felt very genuine. We had a question about the $18 coffee and we all had a good laugh over the way the menu makes it seem like the most expensive coffee ever ha! But he let is know that you can purchase the ceramic mug for $18 to take as a souvenir. He was very friendly and has a great sense of humor and even teased us when we asked for a coffee refill. The food was incredible as well, especially the eggs which were rich and cooked exactly as I ordered. My mom and I are from out if town and came to play golf, eating at the grill gave us great memories and we are glad Urbano was our server (:

My husband and I, recommended by a friend, recently visited Monterrey for the first time. Seating ourselves at the bar, we were attended to by the exceptional bartender, Michael, who provided exemplary service in both food and beverages. The quality of service surpassed mere 5-star standards, reaching an impressive 5-diamond level. I indulged in the chilaquiles, featuring an exquisite chile sauce, while my husband enjoyed a delectable egg breakfast with delicious bacon and a bacon biscuit. Our overall experience was truly exceptional, and we highly recommend this establishment.

Had a great mid-week brunch! The outside has the perfect atmosphere and a chill vibe. Vanessa was a fantastic server, very friendly and attentive. Great vegan options! Between four people we had the vegan rancheros, vegan breakfast bowl, and vegan chilaquiles. Loved them all! Will be back!
