This is a place i can really enjoy . If i would stay here longer i would be there everyday. The beer is good and the food was good and it had a amazing vibe. It was not busy but i really dont mind that !

Plus it is the oldest saloon in Californië! So if you come this way go here for sure !!

Good beers and burgers. Great atmosphere staff very friendly and helpful. Kept us updated on how long the wait was for table.

We were driving through after leaving Yosemite and had to stop for a beer. It's the oldest saloon in Cali. The bartender was so inviting and engaging and clearly loves his job and the history of the place. I had a local beer called Around the Horn, which was nothing fancy but good, just the same. We wished we could have stayed longer but had to hit the road. Definitely stop if you're ever driving through Groveland, California.

Don't miss this gem on the way to Yosemite. PBR on draft with great friendly service. The ambience is straight out of the old west. Very much enjoyed some cold beer and the mounted animals.

Iron Door Saloon it’s a great stop on the way to or from Yosemite National Park. Atmosphere is uniq, staff friendly and local beer is delicious. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy this little peace of history if you get a chance.

Reviews said best food in town and we have to agree. I ordered the rybeye with Mash potatoes and grilled vegs. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the bearnaise sauce on top was delicious. So we're the vegs. Hubby ordered the BBQ ribs with sweet potato fries. Ribs were tasty, but we to say those were the best sweet potato fries we have ever had. Nice and crispy. Drinks were strong, the service was good, and the portions were large enough for leftovers.

Food and menu was much better than i expected. So much good variety of food and drinks to choose from. The place is historic with very interesting things to see. Has a pool table too.

Awesome place to check out and close by to Yosemite (about 45 mins). The staff were great and very hospitable. Thank you to the young woman who gave me some hot water for my daughter bottle (you have no idea how much it helped for a 6 hour drive back to LA)

The steak dinner was amazing. The rich history of this establishment preserved in it's interior is breathtaking. Loved everything about it. Service was bubbly and super cheerful full of information about the restaurant and the towns history.

We enjoyed two of our evening at the iron door saloon... Burger were great, good bbq Sauce in the rib... Good selection of beers and quite a few locals come around for drinks l. Nice ambience, good staff. We will surely come back if we have the occasion

We had an incredible experience here. The bartender, Mike, was welcoming and friendly and made our quick stop before yosemite a great time. The food was delicious and fresh, drinks were perfect and the atmosphere of the saloon was great and interesting. Highly recommend you visit this spot on your yosemite visit!

Went there for Fourth of July dinner after another long day of hiking in Yosemite national park.

We enjoyed the atmosphere as top gun music was playing on the jukebox.

The food and drinks were all pretty descent. We ordered a salad and shrimp ceviche. The portions were good and we didn’t feel the need for more.

There is also a pool room.

Overall it’s a good place to hangout and enjoy some good ol’ American pub food. 👍

I was blown away! I ordered the Ribeye (medium rare, added grilled onions). It was beyond perfect. It came with vegetables that rivaled the steak. Sauteed in garlic butter! You bet I ate all my veggies 😋. The service was so great. Everyone was so polite. We were so impressed with the quality of the food, we told the chef in person. 100% will return!

Delicious breakfast and brunch in Groveland! Their food options were yummy. I want to give a shout out to their coffee! I had the Firefall coffee and it was so delicious! Apparently the coffee is roasted at the establishment next door! Definitely try their coffee! 😊

This place is great. Locals dive bar and I love it! Had the hamburger and wings. Both great. IPA on draft a big plus. Usually music on the weekends at least during summer. 8 mins away from A Tiny House Village so easy drive from the property.

Stopped for a quick bite to hold us over on our drive home. Service was great and fast. We were there as they opened. I get the feeling they get busy. We just had a Blt and fries. The BLT was loaded and thier fries were fantastic. I don't particularly care for fries so to post this is something

We stayed in Groveland California while visiting Yosemite National Park. We had to check out the Iron Door Saloon, the oldest operating saloon in California. The outside still has the iron doors installed in 1937 to help prevent fire damage, and the inside still has the original bar and typical Western decor. Patrons started throwing dollar bills on tacks on the ceiling long ago, as thousands of dollars are tacked to the open beam ceiling. Visiting the saloon is worth it for the atmosphere, but the food and draft beer choices are good too.

Oldest continually operating bar in the US. Old school Bar with currency thumb tacked to the ceiling, historic photos of John Muir,live music, great drinks, and surprisingly good food.
I had the onion rings and a bacon cheeseburger, go on your trip in or out of Yosemite.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. We ate there two nights in a row on our trip in Yosemite. The first night I got the fish and chips and my partner got a California bacon burger with sweet potato fries. Before I go on, I just want to say I highly dislike sweet potato fries and have never eaten any I liked. However, I ate almost half of my partner's sweet potato fries, they were so good.

I really like the atmosphere, the woman running things is clearly invested in the saloon. She was making sure everything was running and people were getting seated in a timely manner. I would eat here every time I am in Groveland. Wonderful place

We really enjoyed this place. The food was great and so were the drinks. Even the kids loved the food. Lots of cool history pictures and items to read. It was one of the cool places we visited while in the Yosemite area. Can't wait to visit again.
