Martha’s Curiosity Shop

Love this little gem of a store. Highly recommend picking up a surprise bag for kids. My 4 year old was beyond thrilled by all the random goodies and candy she got in hers. This shop is full of beautiful art and vintage books and tchotchkes. So much fun!

I love Martha’s curiosity shop! It screams keep portland (area) weird. I love to go there and find unique gifts for friends and recently found some great teacher gifts. Lots of creative literature, art, quirky mugs, zines. Definitely worth to stop if wandering through Troutdale.

This shop is great and Martha is awesome. You’re sure to get some witty humor, sweetness, and intelligent conversation. She’s an incredible artist and author. She puts her heart into her store. Definitely stop by for some unique goods and goodness❤🌈😍!!!

Cute little shop in a beautiful section of Troutdale! There's a wide variety of kitchy and academic items for sale and the owner, Martha, is a talented writer of zines and will answer any questions!
I especially liked the recycled leather earrings she had for sale!

A quirky little slice of old Portland. You will find nothing of great monetary value, for that, go to Gucci or Chanel. You will however find a Buddha of great peace and a marijuana tray of great relaxxation. If you value sentimental and obscure tokens of humanity, this is just the place. Great prices to boot!

As far as I know, there is nowhere else like this in the Troutdale area. Good stop if you are on your way to or from the gorge or the Sandy River and looking for unique places. The shop is very tiny but you might find a really cool zine or an interesting oddity. I cherish my TNG Data/Worf mug I found there. Worth a stop for that old meets new weird gorge vibe.

A fantastic and adorable shop of great books, quirky art, and things of wonder. Martha the shop owner was a blast to chat with. I’m glad I took my visiting friends there!

I love stopping by this little shop in downtown troutdale and looking through all the unique gifts that Martha has assembled . Martha is an amazing author and artist and you will be doing your self a favor to stop and get something cool

If you are looking for the perfect unique gift for someone special, this is place to shop! This shop is full of interesting, beautiful, one of a kind works of art for yourself and others. I could spend all day looking at everything.

Admittedly, the Escheresque entrance is a bit difficult to navigate (watch out for the alligator pits!), but once you are in the shop, what a wonderful assortment of curiosities! A fine line of vorpal swords and holy hand grenades. A table full of mixed up files that I am half certain are THE Mixed Up Files because they are labeled BEF. A golden ring, a golden compass and a golden key, all with strange, illegible inscriptions. Rare copies of The Necronomicon, The Book of Sand, The Princess Bride and the Quran, all signed by the authors. It was an amazing visit, filled with wonders and hope. I was disappointed to discover that neither Kit nor Nell were in attendance, but perhaps next time.

This is the cutest little shop I’ve ever been in! There are so many interesting things to buy. And, the lady who runs it is nice as pie.
