Absolutely recommend checking out this spot when you’re visiting Grand Teton National Park near Jackson. There’s a ton of cool art and animal sculptures to check out, and the best part is, it’s free. Plus, they’ve got clean restrooms.

And don’t even get me started on the views outside! They’re incredible. definitely swing by if you’re in the area. It’s a great stop to stretch your legs, take in some art, and enjoy the scenery.

This museum was first established nearby in the town of Jackson 1987.... I haven't been inside but as far as I know they have their own library and archive…. But the outside statues are really life size...and nearby is a national elk refuge...:-)

Amazing museum filled with wildlife artwork from the top wildlife artists in our county. Palate is suppose to be top notch for lunch didn't have time.
The views, the outdoor sculpture and artwork make for a wonderful must see stop while you're in Jackson.

Gorgeous museum carved into the mountain. So many pictures to take with the Jackson Valley behind. Beauty and Nature combined. Restaurant Palate is only open till 2:30 and well worth a visit.

This place is so unexpectedly cool! Located just outside of Jackson town, it blends in perfectly with the natural beauty of the hills. It is a must see!
The amount of artwork outside is amazing. The fabulous sculptures, exhibits as a blend of nature with modern art, create a truly captivating experience. Even though the museum was closed when we visited, the statues alone were beautiful enough to admire. Also, the view from the museum is simply breathtaking.

If you're looking for a free way to enjoy the place, you can still stop for 15-30 minutes and walk around to see all the animal sculptures outside the museum. It's a great way to stretch your legs and appreciate the artistry. There's also a telescope available for visitors to use, so you can observe anything that catches your eye.

We definitely plan to come back when they are open. This place is full of excellent photo opportunities and we can't wait to explore more of what the museum has to offer. If you're in the area, be sure to visit this hidden gem and immerse yourself in its captivating art and natural surroundings.

I'm not the usual type of person to visit an art gallery. However, the art on display here is fantastic and worth the trip. Great experience for even a caveman like me!

This is an absolute gem of a museum!! 💎

Located just NE of Jackson, on hwy 191, and 26/89, we were first drawn in by the fabulous, life-size, animal sculptures of moose, elk, big horn sheep, etc, which are visible from the highway. Surrounding an edifice built of stone, they provide great photo ops. But that's just the beginning!

Completely ADA accessible, the museum offers free or discounted entry to Veterans and students. In addition to a gift shop and a delightful restaurant with amazing views of Antelope Valley, there are changing displays which include art projects from local schools, and a room which shows the progression of wildlife art over several centuries.
Some of our favorites included several paintings by Tucker Smith, and Carl Rungius. And don't miss the room set up as a wildlife artist studio! It's full of eclectic and fascinating details and information!!

I promise you'll be pleasantly surprised. Nearly brought to tears by their new Mkapa African Photography contest exhibit. Amazing work here. If you regularly enjoy art, expect to be entertained for a minimum of 2-3hrs.

We stopped by the museum without planning. We didn't have time for the exhibition this time. But the cafe is fantastic! This is not your regular museum cafe, more like gourmet cafe with a reasonable price. The wide open view outside is amazing as well for a sit-down lunch. I think they open only for lunch though.

Loved all the artwork and realised I'm undercharging for my own pictures based on the art you could purchase.

First: a brief confession: I never actually went in. We had so much fun outside that we ran out of time to actually see the museum. The sculptures outside were beautiful! If you've got a spare minute, it's completely worth a stop! The view from the top is breathtaking.

Such a cool place! A must if you are staying in the Jackson area for a few days. An art gallery with hundreds of paintings, could easily spend 1-2 hours here. Divided into many different rooms with different art themes / styles. All of the paintings focus on wildlife art. We especially enjoyed the modern art room. Really cool stuff and affordably priced, definitely worth it.

This is a beautiful place. I have visited many museums and thus one had a special charm. It's small with only 5 rooms /galleries and not big. Everything is as the name says about the wildlife in Wyoming. And in the time I visited (Oct 23rd) is pretty empty.
