Hometown Restaurant

A bit pricier I thought when initially sitting with my friend, but the amazingly fast service and top notch quality food made it worth it. 10/10 food and servicem will come again!

A great restaurant for breakfast. Huge selection of food. Our waitress was prompt, kept our coffees hot and full, and was helpful with choices on the menu. Lots of regular customers shows how good the service and food are. Stuffed hash browns are like eating a loaded baked potato for breakfast! Definitely an item you should try.

Very nice reception from the employees. Decor was subtle and inviting. Pleasant to see everyone smiling. My waitress was Emily. She was kind, helpful in menu selection and very courteous to everyone she waited on.  I ordered the Hometown Grand Slam with a side of French toast. Entering was very well flavored and cooked to perfection. Nothing was over or under cooked. Portions and large week with the price posted. I highly recommend visiting the Hometown Restaurant of your in the Fairbanks area.

OMG...amazing food. Had the Georgian Omelet and it did not disappoint in taste, quality, texture or volume.

Don't let the rough exterior put you off. This local favorite has everything one would want in a restaurant. Good food, good service and a genuinely pleasant environment. Try the reindeer sausage! I did!

Fantastic breakfast at Hometown! Husband is particular about his country fried steak but he said multiple times this was *very* good- great sawmill gravy! Some places up here in Fairbanks add weird things to their country gravy and it tastes weird but this is definitely a good gravy. Pancakes were fantastic! We will definitely be back and this will be a place we bring guests. Also the staff never let our drinks run low and they were hustling the entire time getting orders out!

Good menu with a wide selection. Portions are huge and the food is delicious. Our waitress was great but I didn’t catch her name to acknowledge her here.

I had never been here, so was pleasantly surprised to see that the 80’s are alive and well in Fairbanks. We both ordered the biscuits and gravy combo, and it was AHMAZING! Comfortable booths, great service, strong coffee, cool 80’s Alaska decor and yummy to the tummy food. I will be back in a heartbeat. Yum. The Philly cheese steak sandwich is AMAZING!!! Over the top.

Old and dated interior but the service, staff, and food was excellent! Hometown breakfast skillet and country fried steak with a side order of pancakes. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Loved the spot. Felt welcomed and greeted with fast service. Reminded me of home cooked IHOP meals with large portions!

Dined in , staff are amazing and refill your drinks as fast as you drink, favorite food is even the kids meals filling if you are not that hungry , they make amazing soup daily …portions are large , expect left over fir next day! A few Wait staff have been there for several years !

Delicious food and great service!!

Reliable quality and always warm, friendly service. This is my go-to spot for breakfast and lunch, especially for the burgers, skillets and biscuits and gravy. The waitresses and staff here are always friendly and well meaning and no matter how busy they are, they keep it professional and courteous.

If you're in Fairbanks, this place is a must try.

Very good breakfast and service was outstanding.

Came here because of the reviews and they were right. Food was delicious and portion size was on point. I'm a big guy and I'm stuffed. Emily was great, she was attentive and made sure we were ok. A tad pricey but worth it.
