Best Western Plus Holiday Sands Inn & Suites

Once again after multiple stays here I can only speak for myself. Check in was flawless I forget her name very professional as it should be and made it easy. From checking in to checking out to getting the correct room and price booked for was on point. Spacious rooms .No roaches not even 1 ant nor any traces or signs of bed bugs was a plus no issues to my stay from noise level to just no noise in general nor was there and problems worth complaining about I did have 1 issue with something but I choice not to down or put down the establishment from the same lady that checked me in to the maintenance crew they solved and fixed the issue in reasonable time and manor I can only speak for my experience but odd I got no issues each time .. Thanks to management and friendly service I will continue to visit this location in all future experiences with Best Western. Appreciate the help experience and professionalism I seem to always receive at this location

Van is a jewel! She should be training the rest of the employees in the entire Best Western chain. She has a positive attitude and if she does not have an answer to the question she will find out and let you know. The hotel is not the newest but the accommodations were amazingly close to the beach and the dog park was much appreciated for my service animal.

It was amazing. The room was great and all staff were happy, and friendly. No matter what their job was. I've never been to a place where everyone was happy and polite and helpful. I will be going there again when I go to VA Beach area. The area is beautiful.

Edit: stayed again 9/30. Room is exceptionally clean and the balcony view can't be beat. Van, who checked us in, was really nice. The value is really good.

Previous: Room was old af but clean. Balcony had a beautiful view! The shower worked great and it was generally quiet and clean. The location, directly on the beach, was perfect for the kids. The check in/out staff during my stay, 7/19/23 through the weekend, we're exceptionally kind and helpful, we got there late and lost our key one time and both times the front desk was nice. The breakfast was awful, skip that. Hot, overcrowded, dirty etc. But the rest of the hotel makes up for thar. Definitely will be back.

Picked this hotel for a last moment end of summer getaway for two nights for my Dad and myself. The rates looked good, so we booked a king suite with sofabed in the two story building. The room, and property as a whole, was clean and quiet. It’s also pet friendly but I couldn’t tell unless I saw a dog in passing since I didn’t hear barking or howling. Pool was clean and neat. Breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold foods. The hot foods rotated. I found the pancake maker to be a cool touch. We would definitely book again here soon for a night or two!

We loved it. I live right down the street from this hotel and recommended a friend stay here when she came to visit me and my family. I was there a lot. What we both liked best was it was the day after Labor Day. In this area every public pool closes down on Labor Day. We were so surprised. And pleased that they stayed open an extra week. It was priceless! And makes sense. It's summer here through the month of September at least. I grew up here and have walked my kids and the grandkids in shorts, many Halloweens (Oct.3). I am not saying that I haven't done it in winter coats as well, but those are rare occasions. Thank you so much for giving us that extra week for swimming. The breakfast lady was exceptional. Very kind and patient even when very busy. The view is fanominal. Room was clean. I strongly recommend this hotel for your visits to Norfolk, Va.

I got a Two Queen suiye and it was the best room for the beach. The beds were separated by rooms so myself and my friend had personal space. The hotel text me letting me know my room was ready, followed up with me to make sure everything was good and so I had open communication with the hotel. The view was amazing. The employees were so friendly and went above and beyond. I had no issues with my service animal, especially because the hotel is pet friendly anyway. This was a great price for being right on the beach. It is close to VA Beach, but is more local so not over crowded and more tranquil. I would highly recommend.

It's a very nice place to take the kids for a vacation. We didn't have a problem at all. It's not the Ritz-Carlton, but it's a nice place to have a vacation. Had a nice little kitchen, a decent size fridge, an electric stove,and a microwave. Easy access to the beach and has a nice pool area. Would definitely come back.

We had a great experience in Norfolk, right on the beach at BW Plus Holiday Sands Inn & Suites. Staff was fabulous. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and beds were comfy. Best of all, I left a very sentimental jewelry item behind. Upon discovery, I was sick. I called the hotel and housekeeping had logged it into lost and found! Thank you to the amazing staff! So thankful!

Was our first time traveling to VA. We could not have asked for a better stay. Front desk very friendly and helpful to all of our needs. Housekeeping was awesome, room very clean met all of our needs. The bathroom was a little on the small side but we managed just fine. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great spot on the beach, close drive to Virginia Beach, pool was nice, and staff were friendly. Our room was just perfect for us. Will definitely be back! :)

Great hotel, with an awesome view of the beach. Always had different food for breakfast which was very yummy

Went to visit friend and stayed here for 2 nights. Rates were reasonable and room was clean and nice. We had our dog with us and it was a pleasant stay. The only complaint I have is they decided to do some jackhammering around 2pm when I was trying to nap. The breakfast made up for it. Waffles and biscuit and gravy was pretty good.

Considering this a best western and not exactly a top tier hotel, they do a great job.
The included breakfast is good. The pool is great & the absolute best part is the private beach entrance. It’s perfect for a small family because you’re close enough to drive to main VA beach but away from all that noise.
My family & I have stayed here 3 times & have always received great service & will definitely continue staying here.

We visited in mid September. We had a suite, brought 3 kids and the dog. The suite had a queen bed, pull out couch, small kitchenette and a separate bedroom with another queen bed and the bathroom. Breakfast is a 10/10, the beach was not crowed in the least. The pet free play area was great for our dog who isn't used to going to the bathroom on leash. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I gave the room 4 stars because our remote didn't operate the TV, only the cable box (so volume, on/off had to be manual) and I wished there was a broom/dustpan in room for sand clean up. I bought one at the Dollar Tree and left it in the closet. We bought food and used the kitchenette instead of eating out, however there is no cookware. Again, nothing that can't be brought/bought at dollar store. Pets aren't allowed on the beach from memorial day to labor day, heads up. We watched dolphins play every day, it's 20 minutes to VA beach/tourist stuff. Absolutely awesome, highly recommended and we hope to be back!!

Rooms are dated but clean, breakfast is good...but we will come back because the location is great and awesome customer service by Crystal at the front desk! She's the best!😊

We brought the pups along for a two night stay. We got a beautiful view of the ocean. I was able to bring them out back in a fenced in area to play.
Some of the housekeeping staff we ran into were very friendly. And, we had direct access to the beach (which was wonderful). We will be back again! Can’t wait to check the pool out next time.

The amenities are pretty much what you'd expect for the price, but the view over the beach is unrivaled and the private balcony was really lovely. Neighbors on other balconies be heard, but it's still pretty private with walls on both sides.
I couldn't find the hair dryer at first, but it was in the closet. Free breakfast was hot as well. I would stay here again.

Nice, clean room. Tabitha at the front desk was so welcoming, polite and professional. My mother has physical limitations and she made sure we were well taken care of. It's not everyday you find that warm of a welcome and it was much appreciated after a long drive.

This is our new vacation spot. There are plenty of parking spaces and easy access to recreation spots around the area. Van was so nice at the desk, and we frequently received check-in texts, asking how things are going. The rooms are nice enough to spend the whole day in if need be. We stayed in a king suite on the fifth floor and the balcony and view was unbelievable. The access to the beach and views are enough to have us back.
