I have always enjoyed coming here! I was diagnosed with celiac and was so sad thinking I would never get to eat here again. Something told me to just go and ask to see if they had gluten free options. So I go in and April was so very nice and told me absolutely we have gluten free options!! Let’s just say she made my day!! Such a great place and super nice people!!

You will NOT be disappointed. (1st review) Found this place as a 2nd choice. Should be your 1st choice. Food was absolutely delicious. Service was impeccable. So need a place like this where we live.

One of the best fresh and very lightly-breaded fried shrimp! The crab cake is also very meaty and yummy, along with their green beans.

Went there for the first time a couple days ago. It was so good I went 3 days in a row! Had catfish and shrimp one day, flounder and shrimp then just a shrimp basket. I was never disappointed, great flavor and freshness overall. Highly recommend trying them out if you love seafood!

Best tasting and largest fish tacos anywhere.
No fru-fru mini tacos here...just full size perfectly fried fish with just the right amount of other filling in the taco. It's mostly the fish or shrimp ...which are always great! (Fries, hushpuppies, & slaw are also top notch.)

Best Shrimp around town. Period. They very lightly breaded. Also their shrimp are jumbo sized. Nothing like other restaurants. They also have $1 desserts. Their coleslaw is house made and delicious. Their sandwiches are oversized and stuffed full of fish! Great value for the price! Come here you will love it. Cozy atmosphere. You will not be disappointed!

Bubba's continues to provide good seafood served hot and fresh. The sides are tasty too as I really like their green beans and shells and cheese.

5 stars all the way! I am skeptical of all the reviews below 5...maybe a few 4's are ok but you can throw out the 1's, 2's, and 3's! If that's the case this place should easily be a 4.8 or 4.9 type of joint. We stopped in after a bike ride in Yorktown and I got a Catfish basket with fries, hushpuppies, and coleslaw and it came with ketchup, tarter sauce, and like a remoulade sauce all for $11.99! Everything tasted awesome and came out super hot...I don't think it gets any better than this! Catfish was cooked perfectly and tasted great with the sauces! I'm hooked and will be returning for sure!

One of the BEST places to eat! My shrimp was perfect, the fries were crispy, and the hush puppies delicious! Be prepared - it can get busy!

This place has fresh fish, shrimp and many other seafood dishes available. All the food was fresh out the fryer and extremely tasty. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey. I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff too.

Soft Shell Crabs on a bed of Fried Okra! Moses would part the James River to get to Bubba's for this fine meal!

I got the flounder sandwich basket and it was really good 9/10.

This place is a dive. Just kidding 😂. The catfish is delicious. Love the little corn bits in the hush puppies. The young lady that took my order was very friendly and and answered all my questions on what I get with the different menu items. I will definitely be back.

Shrimp is excellent. Perfectly prepared. Bubba's dipping sauce is delicious with the shrimp. Green beans taste like my grandmother's. Excellent service.

Loved the scallops and shrimp and hush puppies. She crab soup underwhelming sadly. Great service, friendly a little pricey but it’s scallops so understandable. Will be back.
