The Banque Country Western

2/10/24- I went with a group of friends and we had a blast. If you want to do line dances this is the place. I was so shocked that so many songs had dances to them. It was crazy to also see so many who knew the dances. They have a small dance area for people to practice. I do wish they would do a song or two with no line dance but I guess that is why you would come here.
There was a 7$ coverage charge. We got there around 10:30pm.
The tables were reserved but we were lucky and given a table after some people left. Our server was great and super quick with drinks/food. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and fries. Both were really good. The bar tenders were also great who helped us before we got the table. I would love to come back after I know some line dances.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years now . It’s my home away from home . Which is funny because my dad used to go to The Banque when he was first stationed in the area in the early 90s! He still enjoys Banque Nights as well !
The staff is like my family and you can tell they truly care about their guests and their jobs . The food is on point (highly recommend the prime rib or the firecracker shrimp) and the drinks are ALWAYS cold. I live 12 minutes from a competitor bar & would rather drive the extra 15-20 minutes to The Banque.
I cannot stress enough how awesome this place is !

The best country bar and staff I could ever ask for. After going there for three years I can honestly say that I feel apart of their family. It has been a true blessing getting to know each and everyone there. They’ve supported me breakups, helping me pay for rodeo and supporting me every chance they get.

I wad dressed for cocktail party, but I was delighted to find this place. Welcoming for a guy unfamiliar with this scene. Very upbeat western bar. Prices are great. They mixed the music also sometimes with hip hop. The western look with boots and short shorts can drive you crazy. There’s some pretty girls there. Plenty of white ones. They eat well also if you know what I mean. Brown ones also. I would repeat for the vibe.

I moved here in January of 2023 and this is by far the best country bar in the area. If you love to partner dance, if you love to line dance, if you love to meet new people. This is the place for you. The food is great, the waiters are phenomenal, everything about this place gets 10 stars and not just 5 in my opinion

We had a wonderful time ! My mom is planning her 58th birthday party and when I tell you these people are amazing ! Food was out of this world! The owner greeted us and showed us around and he was very nice ! So blessed to be here! Thank y’all for everything and helping make my mother birthday amazing !

I love going there when I can. We had a wedding reception last night and I cannot say enough good things. Everything was perfect! Venue was beautiful. Food was amazing and the staff was on point. ❤❤

My go-to spot. Awesome line dancing and two-stepping atmosphere (they even have lessons if you’re new to the country dance world) with a fantastic staff, drinks, music, karaoke, pool tables, seasonal events, and so much more. Great for out-of-towners and locals. Military and ladies get in free on Thursdays too! The Banque never disappoints :)

This place is amazing..... we go there at least once a month and never had a bad experience.

We went and it was our first time. Staff were friendly and approachable. The DJ had the place on fire 🔥 everyone was dancing. We even learned some new dances. The crowd was having so much fun! I only gave the food 4 stars because we didn’t eat there but everything looked and smelled amazing.

The Banque is one of my favorite places to go to hang out with friends, dance, and have a safe place.

The themed nights and competitions are always so much fun and there’s something new every week.

Staff, security, management, and owners always have a smile, are helpful, and genuinely care about the patrons.

I have been going to the Banque for years. It’s my go-to-spot on a weekly basis. Dancing, music, the staff, food, drinks, karaoke… what more could you want? They teach lessons for one’s who want to learn more and the regulars are happy to help too! Highly recommend going to the Banque!!

Great service, awesome music, fantastic security. Everyone is so friendly and the DJs make it so much fun! Love this place and I always feel safe because everyone here looks out for you. Highly recommend!

This the best around 757 ! Great food awesome staff and the dj’s play the best music !!! Always a great time here and love when they have theme night loved the shirtless cowboy that they just had and can’t wait for all they have planned . Love hanging out with friends and all the new friends I have met here . Also they have line dance lessons and karaoke . Again I will High Recommend coming to the Banque you will have a great time !!

If The Banque was closer to my home I would be there all the time. Have been going here since 1993 and it just keeps getting better. We travel almost 3 hours several times a year to dance and socialize here. You will find a great diversity of folks here. Many professionals, some of us hard working boys and girls, and a terrific show from the military, both young and old which gives a great balance of dance styles on the floor. Extremely good dance floor etiquette, you can both line dance and partner dance, orchestrated by a terrific DJ, who takes request. Service is impeccable and management is active to ensure you are having a good time. Handicap accessible, and accommodating in every way. They have modernized the facility including the floor, which almost dances itself, cleaner modern restrooms, and they added a smoking patio. We are not smokers, and never smelled smoke. Great selection of mixed drinks and beers. Food is very good and plenty for the price. Reservations can be made and management will help you design your evening. Dance classes are available on certain days and teach great steps to modern and classic music. Not all music played is country western. A very up beat and fun experience. Even if you don't dance there is seating with terrific vantage points for spectating, but I'll bet you get on the floor. A very good time for young and senior.

The banque is a treasure of a Honky tonk bar in the Norfolk area. Large dance floor and a fantastic offset practice floor. It is the most “authentic” country dance hall in a 4 hour radius. The service is stellar and prices are reasonable. It also boast a karaoke lounge in the back. I’ve been coming for a year now and the banque blows all its competition out of the water. The main thing that makes it special is the community of dancers that frequent it and its outstanding instructors that start each night off with line dance and couples dancing lessons. The etiquette and respect for the dance floor is always present with none of the hoodlums seen in other local establishments and of course the security is top notch. If you want a place to comfortable learn, eat, drink, and dance. Come here, you’ll meet some stellar people.

It had been 34 years since I'd been here (Sang/performed here a few times) and I'm SO glad I went! All these years I always remembered how good their steak dinners were, so when I was looking for a place to eat, The Banque came to mind. (It was called "The Fifth National Banque" back in the day! 😊). And just like that, they did not disappoint!!! That steak was cooked to seasoned perfection!!❤ And WOW have things changed in there as well!! ALL POSITIVE!!!💯

While I sat and enjoyed my perfect steak dinner, I watched and listened to all that was going on and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. I loved watching everyone (much younger than me now, Lol!) having a great time dancing, line dancing, and hanging with friends. And I absolutely LOVE that every age (adult), race, creed, color, and more were in there TOGETHER having a great time. Also I love the variety of dance music as well. KUDOS!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

It did my heart good to go to a place with a long history in Norfolk, has wonderful food, and happy atmosphere. Thank you to those who keep this place going. I'm definitely coming back for sure!😊

Best place East of the Mississippi to Dance, drink, and have a bite to eat. The staff are like family and they make sure that you feel that way!

I love the Banque - my momma used to come here when she was young and now it’s my turn to have some fun!
