Magnuson Hotel Virginia Beach

My mom and I were very happy when stayed here 4 or 5 years ago. Because everything was good before, the price was good and the room was good, I stayed there again recently. The furniture was upgraded, matter of fact the whole room was. The room was great and the front desk was very pleasant. I would stay there again.

Enjoyed my overnite stay the room was cozy good places to eat close by any the front desk clerk Dawn was very helpful in meeting my needs as far as assisting me with the wonderful room I stayed in I would recommend the Magnuson to friends and colleagues when visiting the VA Beach area.

They help accommodate me and my inlaws at the last minute. I see their vision with the improvements that they are making on the property. Will be returning!

The frontdesk supervisor has amazing service and was beyond helpful. Thank you for making my experience well worth it!!!!

Update: my Boyfriend and I rented a room just for a nightly get away! The room is nice and staff was very very friendly! I’m not sure where all the negative reviews come from but clearly they are not from current guests. I enjoyed my stay the room was clean, there are absolutely no bugs, and the TV was nice, and just to mention again my room was absolutely fine and the showerhead felt like I was in a spa…it was lovely! I would definitely recommend and I would definitely stay again the next time I need a nightly getaway. Thank you Magnuson hotel for making my night special.

I'm reading all these other reviews and cannot believe that these people had such a terrible experience! We stayed here twice within the last month and each time it was amazingly wonderful! Clean rooms, lots of towels, shampoo, soaps, clean bed sheets, wonderful and very accommodating staff! No bugs, no holes in the walls like the hotel we tried staying at first. Pool was amazing ! Breakfast was fantastic! I will never stay anywhere else when in Virginia Beach, this hotel for as cheap as it is, is absolutely amazing ! The remodeling looks great too! I definitely recommend for people to stay here ! I do feel bad for those who had a bad experience, hopefully they give you another chance! Thanks again for an AWESOME stay 😊

Great pool and clean and comfy rooms. Location is good, can be weird getting in and out but definitely worth it. The service is outstanding. Game room, laundry, and GREAT pool. About a 20 min drive to the beach and close to everything. We really enjoyed it.

Thumbs up to the Staff Marlo, Dawn, and Cierra. These ladies were very friendly and helpful during our stay!!! Any questions or situations that we had they all were more than eager to give us information or find a solution. This hotel has amazing grounds with beautiful landscape , a clean pool and hardworking groundsmen.The housekeepers (Belinda) all worked very quickly in making sure our room was up to par everyday!! I will be recommending this hotel to family and friends!!!

After reading reviews, I was expecting the worst. But I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience! Very courteous staff and a very clean room. Free Wi-Fi and small breakfast was included. They offered Cheerios, waffles, coffee, juice, and bagels for breakfast. We were only passing through on a bicycle trip so I can't attest to the hotel's proximity to Virginia Beach, but I would definitely recommend it!

I love the cleaning crew they were awesome!! That white lady that work at night at the front desk has a attitude problem I do not like her!! The Black ladies who work in the day at the front desk were great and we enjoyed our stay!

All the bad ratings for this hotel are people that should have just bought a house cause they are so great themselves. When I showed up to check in the lady made me feel so comfortable and at home, such a great comfortable room, air conditioning is perfect, great atmosphere and people all around

Early check in is always a plus!!! Friendly staff with smiling faces and a great breakfast. The staff made sure the breakfast bar stayed stocked and she did so with a smile. THANK YOU ALL FOR A PLEASANT STAY!!!!

I can’t say I had a bad experience personally...the staff was extremely helpful and empathetic, they really helped me out and got me set up and have been very kind to me ! Obviously a hotel will have its wears and tears because they’re constantly accomadating people daily but I think they clean and do the best they can with what they have and I see that ... I personally really appreciated everyone on staff that helped me and I’d definitely come back off the strength of how I was treated!

Location was easy to get to. Room was in pristine condition (and they had this cool microwave that had outlets built into it.) Spacious and comfortable. Not a single complaint.

The housekeepers are great! All staff is professional and friendly. Rooms are clean and dont have those nasty bedspreads that are usually kept on beds all the time and never washed.

My fiancé and I stayed here for 3 weeks before we could buy a house, which we have. We were very pleased with our stay. Everyone was so friendly and when we needed full service on the room, we asked and they came right away. I would really recommend staying here. Thank you magnuson!!

I didn't have any problem staying here. Staff was very friendly and bed was comfortable. Guess we weren't that picky? I'd stay again!

I stayed here 2 years ago due to an unexpected situation. Front desk was very nice and helpful and patient 👍 room was clean🙌 . No complaints at all 😊
