Trotter's Restaurant

I've been right next to this place over 11 years and never knew I been missing out big time!!! They have a whole wall of sundaes that make you say 31 Flav who? Good service good food. It's my new obsession. Kudos to the chef! I wanted a Monte Cristo so bad, it was close to closing time & was so kind to offer to make one even though it's not on menu. Best one I've had in a few years, Thanks!

The food was great, came here on a whim. I got the new 'chicken awful' which was a bacon waffle topped with chicken fried steak, eggs and gravy. I highly recommend.
She got the crab omlet with a side of waffles and also enjoyed what she had.
The decor was a bit outdated but other than that the food was great and they had several options we would like to try.

A hidden mom and pop diner with a retro vibe. Great atmosphere and service. The food was delicious and well worth the price!

If you are thinking or craving American diner food, this is it. Make sure you save space for the ice cream because you gotta have it.

Butterscotch pecan ice cream was delish!

Food and service were AMAZING! Driving through on a road trip and it was amazing. I wish I would have had room for a sundae because they looked amazing but that Football burger was so delicious and filling. My husband got the Bleu burger and he loved it also.

If your looking for a restaurant that still has that cozy, friendly, old-timey feel where your treated has family, then give Trotter's a visit. It was obvious that the waiters/waitresses liked what they do and they are very friendly. They even fulfilled, without hesitation, an usual order of a chocolate ice cream orange fanta float.

Great restaurant. Got the farmers breakfast with French toast. Always wanted to go here and ended up going for breakfast one day. I can easily say it was worth it. The French toast was sweet and fluffy and the eggs were warm and super delicious. It's Christmas time so the atmosphere was very inviting with the Christmas music. All around loved the experience.

Exploring Auburn area as possible area to live, we got hungry and decided on trotters. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I had the taco salad which was real good, my husband enjoyed his hamburger. When you come in on the right is a board with all their ice cream dishes, very big assortment. UPDATE JULY 27TH we both had a sandwich because of the heat. Our server, Joy, was very friendly and helpful. UPDATE OCT 3rd 2023 they have the best taco salad I have ever had. My husband loved the caotains platter. My daughter loved her turkey Cobb salad, I would like to go back and try the turkey Cobb salad. Service excellent.

The first thing you notice is the cleanliness of the restaurant. The tables did not have the sticky oily feel to them that other places seem to have. The waitress's were very attentive and helpful. The food was great and reasonably priced. We were able to order breakfast and lunch (around 11:30 am) and the wait for the food was not long. We will definitely be back.

It was drizzling when I arrived, quite hard to see its signage actually 😅
You see, this joint's facade faces the parking area with the back to the street, and its location is precisely on a curb with the busiest intersection.
I drove twice to find this eatary with googlemap, the first time I practically went past it *lol

But hey, those ordeal simply forgotten because of our smiling server, serene surrounding, warm clampchowder, superb beefsteak and sweet vanillaicecream.

Definitely 5 stars for me ! The best eggs Benedict breakfast I’ve had in a long time. The service was quick and very good. The food was hot and was delicious! My girlfriend had a ham and cheese omelette and it was really good to !

We ordered a ham and cheese omelette and an order of biscuits and gravy. Everything was delicious and way better than good. Large portions. Best biscuits and gravy i have ever had. So flaky and yummy omg. Omelette cooked to perfection with quality ingredients. Hash browns were perfect too. Even the toast was amazing. We are lucky to have this place in our community. Tried it for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Old school diner with friendly staff and great breakfast. I've ordered Farmer's Breakfast. Had the best biscuits and gravy ever! Portion was generous and prices very affordable. Will be back for more.

Great food, and great service! This small town diner has been here for years, and I just now tried it. There steak and eggs are a must!

Came here pretty early for breakfast was craving some biscuits and gravy you could tell the gravy was homemade everything hit the spot. Service was great I would definitely recommend anyone to come here for breakfast.

I like the homey, intimate(with booths) atmosphere. Our server is really sweet and fantastic. Reminded me of small town diners that I like to visit while living in the midwest. The food on the menu is simple American. My favorite is the clam chowder. Highly recommended. I

First time visiting Trotter's. Came in on a Saturday afternoon. Our server took care of us like we were her favorite customers. She was super helpful with making a choice as to what to eat from their rather large menu.

My daughter had the chicken avocado sandwich that our server recommended and she loved it. I had the egg burger, and it was delicious. My friend had the loaded tots and a deluxe burger that he demolished with relish.

Trotter's is very generous with the amount of bacon they put on their food. Their pickles are also very fine quality.

They have an entire wall of Sundae options available that we did not try -this- time, but we will be back in the near future to try more of Trotter's fare and get in on one of those Sundaes.

Well worth a visit if you are in the Auburn area.

I'm not sure how long Trotter's restaurant has been around, but I've always seen ads for it but have never been until last weekend. My boyfriend was looking at their menu online and had to try the Chicken Awful - made atop a BACON waffle! I had the Cafe Benedict- 1 of 5 Benedicts they offer and both dishes were AMAZING! Coffee and service were pretty good too ;) We'll definitely be back - bfast served all day!!

Good family owned restaurant. There was no wait to be seated. I ordered the biscuits and gravy during a dine in visit, while a friend ordered a burger. The restaurant itself was not overly crowded. Our food came to our table quick (roughly 10 - 12 min's) after ordering.

They have a lot of options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Fast and friendly service. Fresh and hot quality food for a reasonable price. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Great, simple, older American diner. Just had breakfast there for the first time and it was to die for. Bacon slowly rendered, eggs perfectly done, great hash browns, delicious sausage patty, and 2 pancakes that were so fluffy and thick I could only eat half. Dinner and lunches have never disappointed either. They have tons of sundays and pie options as well.

UPDATE 2/8/23

Time and reality have caught up. Under new ownership, all prices have gone up $2-6. A small single cheese burger runs $16. Most meals are $18-22. With drinks, you can expect to pay $25 per person.

Sadly this prices me out as a customer for the level of food provided. Just a fact of life. Prices go up, paycheck does not and I have to cut out going to Trotters.

Open for dine in! Food that I missed dearly during the shutdown. French Dip was large sized and delicious. Ample distance between tables.
