I want to thank Mark & Associates for the outstanding service that they have provided to me and my clients over the past 25 years. I am a Real Estate Agent and have had the most outstanding experience with this company. His company is very professional, honest and trustworthy. He is always on time and his workmanship is the very best. I used Mark to do the electrical work on my new home and never had one problem. Every electrical inspection performed by the city passed with no defects. Mark is the best. Call him for all of your electrical needs.

We are have been doing business with Mark & Associates, Inc. for many years. They handle the building's maintenance as well as handled the electrical needs of several of our remodeling and expansion needs. They are courteous, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and very helpful. The owner takes time to go over the scope of work, make recommendations and is always prompt when he sends his electricians to do the job. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a commercial or residential electrician.

I am in charge of three houses in Norfolk, and Mark has always arrived promptly for estimate appointments, and he has never steered me wrong in doing the job right and up to code and at a good price.
Pat schedules the electrical work well, and is always willing to work around my work schedule. The crew arrives on time and works efficiently, too, and I can trust them to be at the house without me and to lock up properly when they leave. For a recent quick job, I was told to expect them between 730 and 8 am; they arrived at 7:31 and were completely finished by 8.
Before that, I tried another electrician for a major project because he was a friend of a friend and I thought I could save some money. That guy dropped out last minute and Mark was able to give me an estimate and send his crew to complete the job within a week, and for no more money than my "discount" electrician.
I can't imagine working with another electrician ever again.

I have an old home in the historic district of Norfolk. I called for an estimate on some work that I had been putting off. We decided on a date and time, and Mark was prompt. I showed him what I wanted done, and he made suggestions that helped me prioritize the work I needed VS what could wait. He made suggestions on what could save me money in the long run. I highly recommend Mark & Associates, Inc.

Mark has done several jobs for me and he does an excellent job. He has upgraded my electrical box, wired a hot tub and completed electrical work on a new sunroom.

After two of the rooms in my house went completely dark, I had a private individual come out and try to fix the problem...they "fixed it" but I was very worried about the work he did. I called Pat and asked her to send one of her crews out to take a look. He did a great job diagnosing the problem and also fixed my ceiling fan that I had not been able to use in the 18 years that I have lived in my house because it made so much noise.
I had Mark and Assoc come back out and fix my aging outside halogen light that kept blowing the bulbs. Again, they did a great job and I appreciated the promptness in coming to my rescue and for being on time when they did come.

Mark and Associateshave been our electrical contractors during two house renovations over many years. Their work ethic is admirable. They consistently were and are inovative in their solutions to problems, often ones we truely hadn't anticipated. When called, the response time has been excellent and they were polite and efficient. We have had only positive experiences with this firm and highly recommend them!

Honest, prompt, and took the time to explain everything well. I'm a military home owner who rents out his property from CA. Its very comforting to know Mark takes care of your tenant and wallet when you're 3000 miles away.

When Mark came to our house to provide an estimate for me and my wife, it seemed he was more interested in looking at the property than talking to me about the work we wanted done.

As the concrete was being poured soon, we asked him to come lay the PVC conduit on Friday of that week. He said he'd be out, but he never showed up. Our concrete guy had to go ahead and put the conduit in himself.

On Monday, the concrete was poured. When he showed up at our residence to install his own PVC conduit, he picked fights with both my wife and my concrete contractor. The installed PVC was not in the correct location as indicated on our city-approved blueprints.

Our chosen electrician didn't utilize Mark's PVC. He used the conduit run by our concrete contractor (who put it in the right location).

In fact, nothing that Mark did was of any use for us. All he did was make my wife cry and waste my wife's time and our concrete guy's time arguing. My wife asked him about clearance between the PVC and an existing gas line. He responded to the effect of "you're digging the trench, you figure it out." I didn't find that remark professional.

We paid Mark's bill for the PVC and some labor to avoid a fight. It wasn't an expensive bill, but I feel like I paid good money and got nothing useful in return... just attitude. We're very dissatisfied with his conduct and his services haven't been of any use to us at all.

If I might make a suggestion, try Paul Walker Electric. He came highly recommended by a coworker and he did a very professional job. The inspector and my foreman were both impressed with his work.

If I could give 0 stars I would. When I called to ask for an electrician to come out to the property to quote some minor cosmetic work (replacing bathroom light fixtures, etc.) As well as rewiring a hallway ceilng light , the gentleman I spoke to on the phone (I assume Mark) became very flustered and told me that was impossible before immediately hanging up. Customer relations are not among this company's strong points.
