Secco Wine Bar

Outstanding service! We reserved a patio seat for a gorgeous, temperate evening one night ahead of time. I appreciated the text reminders and that I could interact with the restaurant through it/it wasn't automated. Had to update my reservation and it was easy to do. Food tasted great! I especially loved the tartare. Ordered from the Mezze menu- 5 small plates for $50. Wines were phenomenal too. My favorite was the Avinyo sparkling wines. All in all, it was a perfect place to spend a Friday evening. Thank you!

First time here and we had a great experience. Ryan was our server and made THE perfect wine recommendation for a red with a silky mouthfeel that was comparable to a requested Virginia wine that they unfortunately do not have. I do love that they allow you to bring your own wine for a reasonable corkage fee.

We shared a few small plates and still left with food to take home. Pork belly and brussels sprouts were huge winners. I look forward to trying many of the other menu items and definitely working through the great wine list!

Overall it was a good experience. Fun small plates and a great wine selection. Quick service and knowledgeable staff. The menu is on the pricey side. You can easily spend $$$.

I LOVE this wine bar. Great selection of wines but also yummy little snacks for sharing on their menu. You must try the roasted chickpeas. Recently went for a cheese class and had the best time. They paired each cheese with a different wine and gave great explanations of both the wines and the cheeses. Small snacks and salad was also provided. I'll be back for more classes and just to grab a drink with friends.

Really fun place! Had a few glasses of wine and a meat/ cheese board. Our server was awesome and had great recommendations and made the experience more enjoyable. Prices are higher than some spots and well worth it for the quality and atmosphere.

Went for date night and it was great! I was recommended to try the gnocchi as an app and wow... I could have had three plates of it but after the main I was stuffed! Service was wonderfully attentive and knowledgeable and the drinks were top notch! Would love slightly more comfortable seating but that would be my ONLY critique! vibe was chill and perfect for our date. Thank you!

Very nice place. Such friendly wait staff. Adhered to COVID rules even though VA restrictions have mostly lifted (which I personally appreciated). All the servers wore masks.

Ordered 3 piece charcuterie board and the large lamb ragu to share. Had a glass of rose wine and bf ordered a beer. I wish I took a picture of my food! The presentation was nice and the ragu was so delicious!!

They were so nice and accommodating when I accidentally forgot to hit "reserve" on my Resy app and showed I up for outdoor seating at 8:30pm. The tables were full at the time, but they took my number and texted me when the table was ready. Food and service were wonderful!! 10/10. We did the 5 for $50 Mezze. HIGHLY recommend the quail plate! Octopus and scallop were also good. The mushroom and shrimp weren't my fave, but there are plenty of options to try :)

Amazing staff. Intimate atmosphere. Their food is divine, kudos to the amazing chef. Best wine list available in Richmond. They will be missed during their brief hiatus, but many will be waiting patiently for the opening of Secco 2.0

We've been going here for years and even had our wedding in "The Room." I'm not exaggerating when I say that we've never had a bad experience in Secco, the food has always been nothing short of delicious and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have delicious wines at reasonable prices and 3 draft beers and many bottles. I recommend coming here and order a handful of dishes and trying a little bit of everything. You can usually get in at brunch time if you're lucky or go on the late side of brunch like we do. The burger is a very tasty option if you aren't looking for something decadent like Lamb with Risotto or Duck or a Fried Soft Boiled egg. This is our spot we go to every time we can't figure out where to go, it's always a 'duh' moment for us...

Wonderful food, the mushroom paella and seared rockfish both blew me away entirely. The sauce they had both separately were so amazing that I almost dropped another $20 just to have it again. Expensive place but so worth it if it’s a celebration.

Excellent wine list of smaller producers and offbeat grape varietals. Great bartenders who really know their stuff, bit aren't snobby about it like some wine bars can be. Food is delicious across the board. For a laid back date night, a few glasses of exceptional wine and many small delicious plates; Secco is hard to beat.

This is one of my favorite places in Richmond. Their brunch is very affordable and a great deal for the high attention to detail. There's an excellent wine selection and the food is phenomenal. I highly recommend eating here!

First time here and it was great! Shared several small plates, the hummus was particularly delicious. Good service and good wine, would definitely come again!

This is an excellent experience. The wine list was very good, there is a varied and interesting menu, and it is all handled by a very good staff. The only critique is the restaurant got a bit loud.

Came in for a drink before a res at spoonbread. They were tight for space and didn't exactly have room for us but they were very very accommodating and friendly. The wine/cocktails were all just as enjoyable as the service and atmosphere

May I just say, FANTASTIC! Our waitress was very nice and so very knowledgeable about all that this place has to offer. I will definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone! Enjoy!! Have a glass for me too :)

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio. A fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath borne me on his back a thousand times. And now how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it. Here hung those lips that I have kiss'd I know not how oft. Where be your gibes now? your gambols? your songs? your flashes of merriment that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one now, to mock your own grinning? Quite chap- fall'n? Now get you to my lady's chamber, and tell her, let her paint an inch thick, to this favour she must come. Make her laugh at that.

Dark interior with nice lighting details and very pleasant wait staff. The wines they recommended were reasonably priced as were the appetizers. Great space.

Incredible food, delicious wine, good atmosphere, with a knowledgeable and friendly bartender. A most visit lactation if you live in or are passing through Richmond!
