This has always been a favorite Chinese restaurant! The food is great. Orange chicken and fried rice are really good. Egg rolls and cream cheese wantons and fried shrimp are also really good! You can’t really go wrong. The atmosphere is also nice with many places to sit and large round tables if you come with a large group and want to share with each other. The people that work there have always been nice and welcoming.

Best Chinese food in Utah. We have been going for decades. Owned by the nicest local family. So many menu items you can’t go wrong with- it’s impossible to list them all because it’s basically the whole menu.

Every time we have a large family gathering in Bountiful, we order here. The Sandy location is also just as yummy.

Tried them out for lunch. Lots of choices on the lunch menu with fair prices.

I did not like the egg drop soup and it is usually one of my favorite things at restaurants like this. It was also served cold, not very warm.

I had the walnut shrimp which was very tasty. Ill definitely go back!

It was our first time at this restaurant and we loved it. Everything from the food, the beverages, and the service was great. Nice and clean place. We had the Moo Shoo and the Happy Family, all was delicious.

This place has several gluten free options. They have numerous gluten free fried items available. Everything that I have tried is delicious. I am very sensitive to gluten and have never gotten sick. The owner is extremely nice as well. I will continue to give this place my business.

Eric is the best owner/operator/server/host IN THE WORLD! I moved away for 5 years and he still remembers me. This is “our place” for celebrating special life events. The food is immaculate, fresh, delisious, and savory. My favorites are general tsaos, creese won tons, fried rice, and Lo Mein. When we come in, we are treated like VIP! The customer service is second to none!!!!

Joy luck is one of the best restaurant I have eaten at in davis county. The owner is very kind. They make the best hot and sour soup I have ever tasted. My family order it for takeout all the time especially when we’re sick. They have a huge fish in their aquarium that everybody loves. The owner even told me that he feeds that fish squash, which is really cool. We are here pretty often so I can attest that the orange chicken, general tsao, strawberry and pineapple chicken are really good! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Hands down the best Chinese I've ever had. The owner remembered my name from years ago. Such a great lunch and experience.

I’ve been going to Joy Luck since I was a kid and every time I’m in town, I make sure to get dinner here. This is the perfect place to get consistently good Chinese food. Their tangerine chicken is my go-to but you can’t go wrong with most is their items. I usually order take out and they can usually get it together pretty quick for pick-up. The picture shows what I got today: their dinner meal which includes your choice of entree, soup or salad, rice, a cream cheese wonton, and an egg role. It costs about $16ish bucks and can easily feed two people.

We went here for a family party. All the food was delicious and the appetizers were equally good. They have a large room for private parties and we easily fit 30 people without issue. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone needing to get their Chinese food fix.

Fresh and hot. Delicious. I got General Tsao chicken (no option for that on here - closest would be the orange chicken). Fantastic. I loved that the egg drop soup actually had ham pieces in it. The service was attentive and fast.

I recently dined at Joy Luck Chinese restaurant and tried their Orange Chicken and Lo Mein. The Orange Chicken had a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors, and the chicken was tender. The Lo Mein was flavorful with a great mix of vegetables and noodles. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious Chinese cuisine.

We're been here several times there Singapore noodles are just like having them in Singapore I lived there for 2 years and I was surprised to find these noodles served here. If you like turmeric and Curry this is it plus its loaded with chicken shrimp & veg. They also use corn starch instead of flour & egg batter for there crispy coatings on there lemon chicken etc it holds its crisper texture for awhile even after sitting in its sauce and to me it tastes much better. We spent about a 120.00 for 7 of us. We each ordered our favorite dishes and shared. There other dishes are all very tasty. Now this Joy luck owner has a brother who owns the sandy location there prices are higher there. FYI But it's good too.

When I was in high school, we’d go to Joy luck for lunch every once in a while. There was a dining room they set up every day at 11:30 for high schoolers. On the wall of the room they had a bunch of plates with different entree options. Each plate would also have some of those wontons and egg rolls, and then fried rice. You’d walk in, grab a plate of food, and sit down. A guy would come around with a card reader and a bucket, and he’d take 5$ cash, or 5.10 in a card reader. It was quick, easy, and good. It sure felt like a steal. I'm sure the price has gone up since then, but that's understandable given our economic climate.

I know high schoolers can be a pain--I work with them daily--but it was nice to see a restaurant that was so attentive to kids who just want a quick, tasty meal during their lunch for a fair price.

Great little restaurant. Been going here for 20 years. Singapore Noodles are amazing and Walnut Shrimp. Also the Aromatic Salt Baked Ribs. Service is great and prices are very reasonable for the amount of food. The staff and owners are AMAZING people. So kind and so caring. If you're looking for Chinese and a great place to visit with friends give them a try. They can take care of large gatherings in their large banquet hall. Chinese New Year is amazing here.

Yummy food, slightly long wait, but we did have a larger group without a reservation. Affordable.

SO good. Excellent service, huge portion sizes, delicious flavors and just an all around great experience.
Honestly you could share an entree with someone and that would be plenty of food for both people. We wanted to try a lot, so we definitely ordered too much and it was a little expensive because of it. WELL worth the price though.
They also serve beer, so you can have a drink with dinner if you want!

Great place and good value. Favorites are the beef and asparagus, strawberry chicken and cashew chicken. Be sure to get cheese wontons and shrimp appetizers.
Pro Tip: Go there for lunch and get best bang for buck

This place is a hidden gem. The food is wonderful and the prices are very generous. I come here often and plan to in the future!

Many months after my original post (above) I still enjoy going to Joy Luck. I love their service and their kindness. Of course it is business, but they do it with a smile. Thank you so much, you make my day every time!

By far the best chinese food in Utah. Fresh, unique, humble. The food is outstanding, it's not your average chinese food, or cheap. Its original and never disappointing. The chicken is crisp, and soft, the sauces are each perfected I'm their own way to be distinct, the thickness and texture is perfect. The soup is fresh, and flavourful, a surprise of fantastic taste and texture. This chinese is unlike anywhere else in Utah and to top it all off the service is always good. Joy luck is the place to be for the best chinese food.
