I brought in a zipper repair for my bookbag. She took the time to ask me about the hardware that came with my bookbag, which I really appreciated. The final product ended up being a higher quality, more durable zipper than on the original item. Impressed with the work and efficiency! I will definitely go back.

Had a Great experience. They saved a pair of pants I thought was a complete goner that I was constantly ripping with a very durable patch that is holding where my previous attempts had not! The job was completed on time as well!

I think this spot is great! The lady couldn’t have been nicer, she altered two pairs of pants and a denim jumpsuit for me and did a great job! For those three things it was under $100! I recommend Shockoe Bottom Cleaners to all my friends and a couple have gone and had the same positive experience that I did 👍🏼

I have all my pants hemmed here and they fit great. The price is reasonable and the service very friendly.

They did a great job and at a $1.80 per shirt to clean, press and starch is a very good price.

The lady running this establishment is very nice, and I have entrusted her with cleaning garments several times in the past. I have also given her small garment repairs, including tears, lost buttons, and blown out seams. Each time she did a great job. Unfortunately on this occasion, with the most expensive item I have brought for her to repair, I am less than happy with the work done. I brought her a Visvim backpack that cost several hundred dollars. The strap had begun to fray, so I broke the seam, melted the frayed ends, and brought it to someone I had hoped could make it look as good as new. Initially I was quoted for a $10 repair; it seemed too good to be true for a $700 bag. I inquired about the stitching she would do, and requested a symmetrical stitch to the other side of the strap. Then I was quoted at $15, and asked to pay for the repair up front. I requested red thread to make an interesting contrast that complements another detail on the bag, so the color choice is not her fault. However, when I picked up the bag today, I immediately regretted my choice, as my eyes will be drawn to the spot each time I look at this bag. The stitching is very poorly done, and is a far cry from the beautiful stitching on the other side. And I fear that if I break the seam again, the strap will be riddled with needle holes. I am at a loss on this one, and I genuinely feel that I could have done a better job hand-stitching the repair myself had I not chosen the most apparently convenient route. She did mention that the repair was very difficult, but it was my expectation that she would not have taken the job had it been too difficult or would have called me when it started to look bad to mention that it was too challenging. Having said that, I would still entrust her with cleaning and small repairs, but be wary with expensive items that need moderate or advanced attention to detail. Please refer to pictures to compare her work (red thread) to that of the factory (olive thread).

Very shady and unprofessional business practices. I dropped off a bag full of folded dress shirts to be cleaned and she counted them one by one and gave me a total to prepay, then charged me substantially more at pickup because she “found more shirts.” Don’t know how that’s possible, but if she miscounted, that mistake is solely hers and the customer should not be charged any additional amount as a result of that oversight. I won’t be going again.

Don't bring her alterations. I brought in my wedding dress, (which she insisted was a bridesmaids dress even though I told her I was the bride and it was my wedding dress), to have the straps adjusted. That was it. Fairly simple. I prepaid for it and was handed a ticket that apparently had the date it would be available printed on it. She didn't explain this to me and I thought it was a receipt. When I called to ask when I could pick it up, she snapped at me insisting she told me (she didn't) and telling me I was wrong (I wasn't) and that she had a customer in front of her. (I guess prepaying means I'm no longer a customer.) She never offered to call me back and just kept apologizing to the customer that was clearly more important than me. When I found the ticket, not a receipt, I called back to tell her I needed the dress before what was printed, which she would have known had we actually spoken about this. But no, she kept snapping at me, insisting she told me. She asked me when it was needed, rudely told me it would be available, and told me not to call again. When I got the dress, it was a disaster. The fabric was just rolled under, threads were not tied down, and beads were falling off. I didn't even bother with her anymore and just got it fixed elsewhere. Don't bring her anything you care about, and apparently don't call her either.

Overpriced, takes forever to clean clothes and wasn’t open when I went to pick up clothes even though posted hours said it would be open. Go to Puritan cleaners instead.

They burned my pants (have the iron marking on the pants to prove it) but decided not to tell me.
