We found Joe's Inn when looking for a close-by restaurant for Altria Theater. It's only 5 minutes away by car.

Joe's Inn is a great little corner restaurant with a cool vibe. We went on a Friday night at dinner and although they were crazy-busy, the staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Even busy, the food was delivered quickly and exactly as expected.

The most appealing part of the restaurant to me is the eclectic menu, which includes all-day breakfast. There was something for everyone. The prices are good.

The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. Seems like they use quality food products. The drinks were well-made, but no unique flavors.

Solid restaurant, with a good vibe and seems family-friendly.

Food was good, and breakfast all day is hard to find! I went around 4pm because I was craving pancakes and eggs. Very happy with my choice! I got the big breakfast, and it was bigger than I thought and I was actually surprised it was so cheap. Liv gave great service and I’ll be back to try more for sure.

Atmosphere:

We went on a weekday and it was crowded. Go with time and hungry! It is totally worth it.

Menu:

Homemade delicious options. You will feel the difference in the food and even in the salsas.

We ordered:
- Soup of the day: Navy Soup. Amazing 10/10. Great portion and delicious! Perfect for this cold season.
- Homemade Lasagna. 10/10 The size is huge! You will enjoy every single bite.
- Spaghetti a la Rudd. 10/10 Added 2 meatballs (they totally worth it). Homemade taste! Incredible flavor and the portions are huge.

Total $50

Value for money totally worth it, they give you free bread for the food which is a plus! You can refill it for free.

Extras:

You will love the leftovers next day! Staff friendly and great atmosphere!

We were greeted as soon as we entered this comfy local establishment in The Fan District of Richmond for a late lunch. We were seated immediately, our drink order and food order were taken in quick succession by very friendly servers. I had the portobello sub and my husband had the tuna salad sub. The sub bread for each was fresh and delicious, as were the subs. They also have an extensive beer selection. We will definitely be back on our next trip thru Richmond!

Excellent food, pleasant vibe, friendly staff, great prices. My family was in Richmond for a few days for vacation and the kids made us go here twice. Each time we left having eaten too much with tomorrow’s lunch in hand.

My wife heard about this place online somewhere and we put it in our list of places to visit. So very glad we did. The food was outrageous.
She had the Chicken Parmagiana and I had the Loaded Spaghetti. Now spaghetti may not excite some people but there is nothing quite like a good spaghetti dinner! Great place.
We took it off our list of places we want to try and transferred it to the "we have go back there" list

Looking for carbs the night before Richmond marathon and Joe delivered. Copious amounts of delicious pasta - we got there by 5 and were seated within 10 minutes. Great experience.

This place is unique! The service is excellent! The food is great. The portions are absolutely HUGE! It is tight seating, so it can be quite loud inside. This place is a must in Richmond!

What an amazing spot! Always wonderful service and great people. The bar is my favorite. Love Katie! She really takes care of you. My favorite is the greek salad with gyro meat. My friend loves the chicken kabob. The draft list has great options and is always fresh. Have to love the ice cold glasses. Amazing peanut butter pie. Have to give a shout out to the whole team including Nae, Sarah G, Lars, Jacob, Michael, Ryan, Maggie, and the entire team!

This a great place to eat. Has a dining room and a bar. Drafts are half off during happy hour which went to 6. The lasagna was very good. Comes with a side salad. Had garlic bread as a appetizer. The service was fast and efficient. Parking is on the street in the neighborhood

Joe’s Inn the Fan is a great spot for any meal for groups or solo in Richmond, with their Chicken Parmesan, available as both a sub and a dinner, being a personal highlight. The place also boasts a solid breakfast including mimosas and a comprehensive draft beer list with a bunch of local options. It’s a dependable choice for any meal, offering quality and variety.

I have been going to Joe's in since 2000, when I first moved to Grove Ave. I had my first legal drink there when I turned 21. And I've had many first dates there. It is, without a doubt, the vision of a corner bar. When they show places like home town bars in movies or shows, it always makes me think of Joe's. If you are looking for food or a drink or just a great place to get coffee and read the paper. You should go to Joe's. Warning : the after church crowd is not a nice group of people to be around. But maybe that is just my experience.

Bustling place typically means good things. This was exactly the case here. Great atmosphere and happiness seemed to waft throughout. Smiles and laughter was everywhere you looked.

FOOD:
Nice variety to choose from that spans most flavor pallets, including children (we fed our 9 month old daughter spaghetti, lol)
Everything was delicious. Portions were great and flavorful.

We definitely plan to return soon!

Great little hole in the wall. Food was AMAZING, service was great. We had breakfast and dinner and although there was a little wait for our food, I must say it was sooooo worth it!!! We had the spaghetti Ala Rudd with garlic bread, French toast and the belly buster with the 12oz Delmonico steak! This place is a must try we will definitely be back!!

The epitome of a cozy Richmond brunch and dinner joint. Recommend the hand-breaded mozzarella sticks!

12/22/23 I must say that if I lived closer, I would be a regular customer. The food was excellent, the service was top notch, and the owner stopped at our table to shoot the breeze. Then he jumped up to clear some tables so more customers could enjoy a great experience. My hat is off to the entire staff.

Food came out extremely fast, something unique to Richmond restaurants. Tomato and basil soup was fantastic. Meatball sub and Gyro were also good. Nice environment and friendly servers. Would recommend for breakfast or a brunch!

Great restaurant, great food, great portion, great service, great price, and great location! Joe’s Inn has been in the fan for over 60 years, it is well known by the locals and love by many Richmonders. It is known for the large plate of Spaghetti dishes and it is the only restaurant where you can find Fried Chicken Livers on the menu. To many of us, Joe’s Inn serves the comfort food with consistency. They also has a a full bar and large selection of beer. Southern Tier Pumpking was perfect for the season.
