We live ten minutes away from the Lodge and have visited Ceder + Elm many times for its outstanding food, service, and atmosphere.

This time, we decided to have a short staycation and experience the rooms at the Lodge. As expected, we were very impressed and elated with our experience. Walking into our spacious room was like walking into a luxurious resort. Very first impression, zero odor of any kind - you know, that familiar "hotel room" smell to get when you first walk into a room. Amenities were top-notch as expected, and as tea drinkers, we were surprised to see a kettle in the room. The bathroom was spotless, clean and inviting. However, the bed was the star of the room as we simply didn't want to get out of it. Large windows let in lots of natural light with views of the grounds and ample fresh air.

Even if you're not staying at the Lodge, the two bars and restaurant are must-visit spots for any occasion. The serving staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Food and wine offerings are simply outstanding and you simply can't go wrong with any item on the menu.

The Lodge at Saint Edward Park is simply a local gem and a state treasure. Highly recommend a visit to experience the scenery, history, atmosphere, and offerings.

Absolutely awesome hotel with great restaurants and bars. The food is good and the ribs are a must try.

The staff are amazing, kind, and knowledgeable. They are always willing to help when needed.

The drinks and food are very good and the prices are reasonable.

The artwork is a must see. Just walk the halls to see the beautiful artwork

Another wonderful thing to do is walk one of the many trails. My person favorite is the trail that leads to Lake Washington.

Always a wonderful place to visit!

It was one of those curious choices where you know absolutely nothing about the destination other than it sounded different and interesting. The appearance in the ad made one scratch their head- A Monastery conversion? The surprise was complete! If you can imagine a beautiful venue with history, art, incredible grounds, bars and restaurants ... What a delight! Our room looked out onto a beautiful field/meadow. The food was so worth not going out to eat. The room was perfectly appointed and it was obvious everything was near new. The Library... I can go on and on. This one is a "not to miss" - We'll be back when we visit Seattle again to be sure! (Don't be surprised by the directions, it does take a bit to get there. It's worth every mile!) Didn't have time to walk the beautiful trails ...

Went on a walk in St Edwards Park, and popped in here to use the restroom and check out if we could get a drink. It was too posh for our hiking vibe, but made a mental note to come back if I wanted a classy afternoon tea or cocktail.

My wife and I stayed for the NYE Ball package and our anniversary. We have been to a lot of hotels, but none with better customer service than The Lodge.

When we arrived, Addi (hope I’m spelling that right!) was so warm and friendly. She recognized and greeted me by name from our communications prior to our visit, was so fun and kind while she checked us in and told us she had our room all set up for us. When we got upstairs, we saw they remembered it was our anniversary and had left us a bottle of champagne with a sweet note! They also had a dog bed, treats, and bowls for our pup (who loved the property).

Ryan, the closing bartender at Father Mulligans, was also a hoot. I visited him and his behind-the-bar copilot whose name I didn’t catch (a lovely blonde woman), after the party looking for one last nightcap. I got there a bit too late after last call but they were still so nice about it and I had a great time chatting with them.

And lastly, Jon the afternoon valet was such a delight. He listened and didn’t judge as I explained that my truck needs to have sweet nothings gently whispered to her when it starts up or she gets cranky, and he brought her around a minute later no problem. He was hilarious and the only thing that would make this hotel better (and I’m hard pressed to find anything) is if they had a Venmo tag outside for the valets in case people forget cash. Grabbing every hungover person’s car on New Year’s Day can’t be easy!

Overall, probably the most special hotel experience we’ve ever had. We already can’t wait to return for a long weekend soon so we can take advantage of the trails and amenities we didn’t have time for. We will definitely be back for the NYE ball again next year too!

Came for a girl's weekend and everything-- the room, the food, the spa, the grounds, the SERVICE-- was incredible. The massage therapists were so professional and even spent extra time with my pregnant friend consulting her on home massage techniques! Above and beyond! The drinks were unique and tasty and the food was delicious. We loved walking the halls and looking at the art, walking the trails down to the waterfront, and relaxing in the library with a board game. Can't wait to come back!

What a beautiful hotel with an incredible staff! We reached out to the hotel to ask about doing our Engagement photos on-site and they were quick to respond and help us get the necessary paperwork. When we arrived for the day of our shoot, we were greeted with smiling faces and helping hands to get our props inside. The team throughout the hotel was very accommodating and easy to work with. A great venue overall :)

We loved our stay at the Lodge. It was my daughter and me. The room was large and comfortable. They treated us so well, even bringing up special treats for our occasion. We did the historic audio tour and explored the outside grounds, including the park trails system, and the art galleries. The Cedar & Elm restaurant was excellent, if weather permits the outdoor seating is fabulous. We went to the lux spa also for facials. Overall it was very beautiful and fabulous. It is expensive, if you are looking for a unique luxurious experience and are not price sensitive, this may be the perfect place.

I recently had the pleasure of working a wedding at The Lodge at St. Edward. I cannot say enough good things about their team! As a wedding planner, communication with venues and vendors is a top priority. Lindsey and her team were responsive, helpful, and available to my team and our clients throughout the planning process. On the wedding day, they were friendly and helpful, taking excellent care of the couple, their guests, and the entire vendor team. I would be absolutely thrilled to work here again and will definitely recommend this venue to my future clients. Thanks so much for making my clients' wedding day such a wonderful one!!

I recently photographed a beautiful wedding that took place at the Lodge at St. Edward Park and I was so impressed with the venue, staff & catering. The Lodge and grounds are beautifully maintained and a spectacular location for a stunning PNW wedding with sophisticated, stylish interiors and beautiful landscaping. I especially love the sense of history in the breathtaking architecture and decor. The restaurant Cedar + Elm is wonderful; the food was delicious, the service was wonderful, and the whole event was just delightful. I can't wait to photograph another wedding here again! The Lodge at St. Edward Park would be an amazing choice for a Seattle area wedding or elopement!

While this location is a bit off the map the magical & breathtaking experiences that await you are soo worth it. With so many extra qualities from their restaurants, bars, one of a kind library with the finest board games, amazing art, gardens, open picnic areas to hiking trails, corn hole & indoor gymnasium with basketball, pickle ball or wall ball you will not run out of fun activities to do. There is a stand alone historical value with all the modern amenities that we are accustom to and have not found anywhere else throughout our travels. Most definitely a bucket list stay.

They have a pickleball court. They have a game room. It's a great place. You can hike and go to the water. Just a quiet, nice place to go get away from it all!

We only had a drink on the patio. Beautiful grounds, great job of restoring the building, engaging staff, and intriguing drink menu.

My husband and I spent a night recently at The Lodge at Saint Edwards: it was our first visit and it was part of a short trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are semi-retired and we are lucky to be able to travel extensively, both at home and abroad, some short and longer trips.
The communication with the hotel was seamless: I got emails with information about the Lodge and available activities, restaurant, spa. I received text reminders and all my questions were answered promptly.
Everyone we dealt with on staff was welcoming and helpful, from the valet to the front desk!
The location of the Lodge is beautiful and exactly as we expected from the website… We truly enjoyed the many hikes, the beautiful and relaxing setting.
The hotel itself is gorgeous and the renovation & restoration work is impeccable. We took our time admiring the 1st & 2nd floor art display & period photos and we also learned about the hotel’s history both in person and online.
The library is a very nice touch: it was a great spot to relax, play a bobard game, and indulge in some healthy snacks and drinks.
Our room, though small, was very well appointed. The bottle of sparkling wine ready for us for our anniversary was such a nice touch! We had our small Labradoodle with us and we also appreciated that a dog bed, bowls, and treats were waiting for her! The bed was very comfortable: everything in the room and bathroom (including the Grown Alchemist products, the bathrobes, linens) was perfect.

A hidden gem in Seattle. Lovely grounds, hiking trails, a library with curious board games made if wood, and beautiful art. This was an old seminary converted into this beautiful hotel 5 years ago. Excellent hospitality and great service. Recommend highly. Worth the visit.

We enjoyed 2 nights at the Lodge prior to our wedding in the park this last weekend. The staff was helpful and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable. We visited the Heritage Bar and the Tonsorium, both times we had great cocktails/ mocktails and food. The park is relaxing and peaceful. Great spot to relax.

I had the most amazing experience here!! The front desk was incredible. The food was some of the best I had! Michelin star quality - seriously. I love that they have electric bike rentals included. It’s so fun to go down the trails. One of the trails goes right down to the water. Absolutely beautiful location. I heard they recently added a pickleball court (local Washington sport)! There is a huge emphasis on local here. One of the dishes I tried had Cascade picked mushrooms I believe. They even have a garden on-site which is where I believe they grow some of the food. I wish I had enough time to try the spa because that sounds so nice. They also have a little library with classy board games which is fun. I do hope they do more with that room in the future to make it a unique experience but it was lovely to sit in. The art walk is always enjoyable. I have had some of the best cocktails here. The bartending team even invents their own drinks so there are often seasonal surprises. The basement bar is the old barbershop and has nice vibes. Love the french fries - they are seasoned so well and super crispy. There is a small gym and several conference rooms. I believe they also have yard games you can check out. The team did so much to make our anniversary stay special and I will always remember that. Keep up the great work! I hope the word gets out there more about this place and that you continue to provide memorable experiences for those celebrating special occasions.
