Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Downtown

I was at the Residence Inn for 7 days. Unlike some earlier reviews, I had a fantastic stay. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast was great. The staff was friendly. The only negative: housecleaning only visited my room 2 times in 7 days. Although, that's a relatively minor issue and I'm sure if I had requested a housekeeping visit, they would've come. I would absolutely return to this hotel.

A month or so ago we stayed at this location and could not recommend a better staff!
Natasia, Lewis, and Prince were such gracious hosts. After the week was over we felt like family and were bummed to leave.
Location is ideal but the service was the best ever. 5 STARS!

I had a slight hiccup with the thermostat not working in my room. Mr. Hollyfield was awesome and resolved my concerns. The property is very clean and centrally located.

Leaving this just to say we did not have the bad experience that some of the reviews from a few months ago had. Maybe they changed management. While our room had a couple flaws (like a crack in the mirrored closet door), and yes, the linens for the sofabed should really already be in the room, the service was excellent and there were lots of transit options nearby, so we didn't need a car. The price was a good value and we used the savings for some great meals out.

This hotel is very well located, rooms are better than other downtown hotels I've stayed at other cities in a similar price range. Breakfast (especially the turkey sausage and waffles) was really delicious. Great price, and management staff was super helpful when I had to switch rooms. Definitely plan to stay again here for Momocon 2024

Brenda (sales/front desk) and Chris (Engineering) went above and beyond to get me what I needed to host a meeting I had to present at on very short notice. Thanks friends!

The downtown location is right between MLK Historical Park and The Civil Rights Museum and within two miles to the Jimmy Carter Presidental Library. We wouldn't normally write a review for this but felt we had to be cause of the incredible staff-
especially at the front desk, Yancy. We arrived early, and she quickly secured our bags, directed us to the sites and when we returned, upgraded our room just because she wanted to. The parking attendant, maids, and breakfast servers went out of their way to assist us. I hope the Residence Inn and especially the Marriott Corporation take note of this fantastic staff as we will return because of them.

Very spacious, clean rooms and nice views (convenient location to downtown amenities we needed) - William at the front desk and the valet were so helpful - great breakfast, too! Thank you!

Not a new building, built in 1929, but remodeled recently. Rooms adequately sized, but again, not a new modern building. Over all clean. Staff was very friendly and efficient from front desk, to maintenance/room service to valet. Valet does get busy as the it is the most realistic parking option. We were minus a phone, remote and wine opener, and all three were promptly delivered. Reasonable walk to Mercedes Benz stadium. Prices no doubt fluctuate, but it was a good value with the parking for our stay for a football game.

Josh in the breakfast cafe gave an exceptional experience. A guest broke the waffle mix dispenser and made a tremendous mess. Josh picked it up with a smile and preceded to manually make waffles for the remaining guest and hand delivered them to each table. He also showed great passion by explaining to guest different sights to see in Atlanta. Josh gave a 5 star experience in a 3 star hotel. Great Job!

I stayed at this location for over a month. All the staff were pleasant and very helpful. The front desk staff are excellent and really made my stay enjoyable. Anytime I’m in the Atlanta area I’m staying here.

I stayed at Residence Inn Atlanta Downtown the week The Braves won the World Series , Yeah!!! The hotel although older was immaculately clean, very comfortable bed and with a full kitchen . The motivation for my review was the culture of the staff team. Lewis, the valet driver was so helpful and cheerful with his greeting. Then the front desk clerk ,I think named Melissa , was also happy and very helpful. Breakfast the next morning was great and I experienced the same happy , friendly, diligent staff. Congratulations to the entire team .The job is as good as you treat each other and your guests. You guys are great. I loved my stay and the team.

Check in process was easy, starbucks next door, walking distance to everything. Came in town for apparel market and was perfect location without paying premium pricing. Customer service was great as well. Beautiful entryway.

Great stay. And the guy in the breakfast room was amazing and very helpful. He kept it very clean didn't run out of any items... Checked on all tables.. breakfast selection overall was great. Will return.

Excellent place to stay. From valet, to check-in, to breakfast, to check-out, all the staff were super nice and efficient. Had a good view of downtown. Requested a high floor and got the top. Nice decor and very clean room. The free breakfast tasted excellent. The room was a little loud from the noises of being downtown but they offer free earplugs to keep the noise down. The only negative was the elevator. It worked great but it rattled a lot making it a bit scary, even to someone who loves elevators. A final positive, this room qualifies for the free Marriott rewards night by being a category 5.

Suggestions would be to replace the carpet with vinyl flooring & upholstery with
something easily cleaned between guests.

Aside of the late and have to request and request again for the room cleaning service, overall the staff were friendly and happy to met Mohammed who give me a free connector charger when mine is not working

We had an VRBO booked, but found out day of arrival that it was a scam. We were stranded at the airport and had no idea what we were going to do because VRBO did not help us after 2 hrs of calls. My sister suggested Residence Inn and I called them. I spoke with William who was nice, patient, and was so helpful to me (us) in my time of need. He calmed me down and I knew that we (group of 4) had another option and weren't going to be stranded on DragonCon weekend! I (we) will be forever grateful to him and his caring manner. He went above and beyond what he needed to do and we were so appreciative and thankful. 5 stars to William, thank you! Also, the rooms were great and every employee we've met was very kind!!

We had a great experience at this hotel. The room was unique, clean, and had nice, historic southern character. The hotel staff were welcoming, helpful, and very responsive to requests. For example, my 17th month old hid his stuffed monkey in a drawer right before we flew home. We called about it, and the hotel staff mailed the monkey to us within just two days, complete with a note: "I missed you!" I strongly recommend staying here.
