We visited for the "book sale" and what great prices. It's donation based prices. All kids' books .10 cents, adults .50 cents unless marked. It's not a huge selection, but for ten cents, you're bound to find something. There is a park next to the library as well.

You can find a book about pretty much anything.

I love a library, and this one is great! The staff are helpful, they have a good reference section, and I find incredible books to read. I love their online book apps too! I am grateful for the library.

Great staff,very helpful they answered all my questions, plus plenty of parking. Only downside is the iconic horse merry go round is gone:(

Very helpful staff in kids zone helping us get kids library cards sorted and also getting us everything we needed. So very helpful.

My family loves this library. Our kids ask to visit all the time. They are so helpful and I enjoy the book store and book specials as well. After, we can have a snack at the playground before heading home as well.

I haven't been to the library in many years but it's got improved parking, it's easier to get in and out of, and the staff is kind and friendly. We had a great visit and look forward to going back regularly.

I never knew if I would be qualified for a St John county library card since I have been told from other library locations that I live in a different county_ It's not allowed otherwise I will be charged to get a card. I found this unfair at first and got discouraged to go to any library that was from a different county. I decided to visit this place out of curiosity, and this nice lady at the service desk was offering me her help and asked me what I wanted. I told her that I'm from a different county and that I don't have a library card and there It's not possible for me to get books from the library. Then she told that she could get me a library card although I am from a different county. Surprisingly, she made me a library card, and showed me all the library programs and services. I could make it to borrowing some books that way. I am very grateful that this lady offered me her help and make it possible that I will be borrowing book from any St John county library.

I love all libraries. This one in St Augustine has a very helpful staff.

There are many books, dvds & cds that you can purchase through the book sale. And I have found some excellent choices.

I have lived in St A for 5 years. Yesterday was one of my very best library experiences here at the Main library and I have to share! Christi took great care of my family! She helped me pay my overdue fines, get my holds gathered, offered to request 3 books in searching for through interlibrary loan--Yay!, and then helped me get another book set up so I can read it on my phone (my first e-book checkout!). All while she's also helping me, she's also helping my daughter and husband find the first book in a series after they brought up a book in the middle of the series. She made recommendations to my daughter and last night, I'm happy to report, my daughter could not put down her new book, "The Red Queen". This is the first book outside of Warrior Cats she's read willingly, so it makes my heart happy that she's branching out. Awesome service! Thank you, Christi! Also want to say that the librarian who works in the children's section has always been wonderfully helpful and has made some great recommendations to us, too. ❤👍🏽

This library is amazing. They have a great selection of books. There are some you can even get for free at the front of the library. They have books for sale for a great price and you can even use there computers for an hour a day with a library card. Great place to visit if you are a tourist, and great for locals. Get a library card expand your knowledge.

Library carded up, almost felt like logging into the St Augustine VA, hut 2 ,3, 4 stamp! but there was a booksale...yes! And also they have more..a Bookstore..Yessss!( Closed now close to 6pm, come back shop more!) I did well 4 cookbooks and a book of poetry about French cats.. $2 50.... Next Time.. Meow!

Great little library right by work. Came in to simply print something and it was much cheaper than FedEx Office which I frequently used, Id rather spend the money to support a community resource. Clean and very friendly staff helped me get set up on the computer.

In the same parking lot as the library sits a venue that is the jewel of the local art community. Now as the Waterworks this Henry Flagler era building is a hub for A Classic Theatre, Ancient City Poets, and countless other artists and art lovers.

As a visitor, the library staff made me feel so welcome that I decided to stay! I've been here nine months and I'm absolutely amazed at the number of special programs that are offered and there's no limit to the materials. I go 3 to 4 times a week, at least.

Great place. Friendly, helpful staff. Also has a very good selection of Kindle/e- books. All can be accessed by using your library card with the "Overdrive" app.

The Waterworks is a beautiful newly restored, historic building ready for events through the St. Johns Cultural Council. Next to the main library in St. Augustine, Fla.
