A very welcoming gem in the heart of Oak Grove. The restaurant has a very lighthearted, casual ambiance. Service was superb.

The Tex Mex menu is extensive and has plenty of options for all palates. The salsa bar had salsa that is *actually* spicy. The queso dip was melty, cheesy, and thick. We very much enjoyed the tacos and enchiladas. Each protein had a nice smokey flavor and were seasoned very well. The drinks were top notch.

We were seated immediately even though the place looked full. The food came out hot and fresh. Definitely adding this place to our rotation!

This place is a staple of our local restaurant rotation. The staff is efficient, friendly, and accommodating. The food is consistently delicious, portions are an incredible value, drinks are always on point, etc. Only friction point for me is the bathroom setup (single person bathrooms that can be tough to get in/out of when it’s busy), but that’s minor. After all, we’re there for the great food/atmosphere. Vecino never fails to deliver on both fronts! Also, if you’re a vinyl lover, the record store (right next door) is spectacular!

So I came here for the reviews but I was veryyyyy happy with the service. They went above and beyond to make sure I was good. Being a first timer the manager came over and that’s always a good thing. The best was that the drinks on Thursday you can take home in a bottle!!!!! Love that, since I wouldn’t drink a whole pitcher of margarita alone on a Thursday night. Will def come back.

We went on Taco Tuesday and it was awesome! The pastor was flavorful, the stand out was the smoked pork belly taco - ask for corn tortilla bc flour tortillas are just too flat for something this delicious flavored 😋

Consistently good, different Mexican style food. They smoke their own meats, so that’s always a good bet. My personal favorite is the smoked salmon quesadilla. It comes with a very unique dipping sauce, unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere.

Can’t believe I hadn’t made it to the spot before now. It’s delicious and the salsa bar really ties the whole experience together. Think of a less fussy Little Rey with more options. We got six different tacos and each one was excellent. The Korean BBQ taco won the day.

Each year it has a more mature menu with better food and better combinations. I haven't tried a taco yet that I didn't like but I'm partial to the brisket and the carnita. I love the big salsa bar in the middle with the salsa of the day. I'm always getting a bowl of Pico De Gayo put on my tacos.

What really love is the friendly service. Laura takes great care of us. Rob usually passes me while I'm there and treats me like an old friend.

Sunday brunch is a regular for us. My kid always has the pork tamales. I have the OMG and steak breakfast tacos on corn. They just revised the brunch menu in the last year and it's better than ever.

Like the name says, this has grown from the little hole-in-the-wall to being a great neighborhood Taqueria.

The first caveat is that it's maybe 20% pricier than typical Mexican places, but I think folks need to make money, so I'm chill with it. The food was great. I got the fried plantain and sweet potato enchiladas. I particularly adore the salsa bar, which offers a lot of options to try out mixes of flavors. I'll definitely come back.

Delicious food. Loved the taco selection. I tried the carne asada, the el pastor and one that had chorizo and steak. All were delicious.

They have a side salad that was the bomb! So many flavors!

Loved the pork belly tacos! Large variety of tacos (and other) beer and with good specials.

The food was delicious, the price was great and the atmosphere was great. We will be coming back. Had an awesome time taste testing the self serve salsas. I highly recommend this place.

It was amazing. The margaritas were sublime and the tacos recommended by our server Nicole were exceptional. Each taco had a distinct flavor and was delicious. The new Korean BBQ taco was insanely good. New favorite taqueria.

Absolutely amazing food. We drive over 30 minutes to eat here and won't eat at any other Mexican restaurant. We are always greeted by a kind woman (I'm assuming a manager or owner). We love the salsa bar. The gluten free options are phenomenal. Not sure why people are saying this restaurant doesn't have friendly staff, literally never a bad experience. Try the breaded avocado, it's amazing!! I cannot say enough good about this place. Oh, don't forget to try the breaded chicken taco, it's fantastic. Hoping the restaurant will comment and tell us their favorite dish so I have an excuse to try a new dish!

Omg This place is by far the best BEST!!! I had the brisket and chicken fajita tacos and I absolutely cannot wait to go back again.The burritos were a good size! Everything was authentic even the queso was delicious!I have found my favorite spot now.This the type of food that makes you dance!

Patio dining, social distancing addressed. Exceptional service (thanks again, Janet!) and really good food. Authentic dishes plus local creations. Clearly pay attention to quality ingredients. Oh and nice selection of margaritas!

Love the murals and the food. The salsa bar has many different salsas to choose from.

Great neighborhood taco place. Food is always consistent and on point. They do a lot of smoking of their proteins here, the salsa bar is fresh, and the margaritas are not out of a mix. It’s the go-to weekday don’t feel like cooking. Wouldn’t bring anyone here to impress them, just to make them taco happy.
