Patisserie Manuel (Montgomery Mall)

Quite possibly the best pastries in the DMV, at the very least the best almond croissants! We've tried numerous patisseries, bakeries, restaurants, and dessert shops from the DMV to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Paris... and none of them can even come close to comparing to the almond croissants at Patisserie Manuel. Please keep up the great job and hopefully someday you'll also make kouign-amanns ;)

I discovered Patisserie Manuel at the Shady Grove Farmer's Market. I was so excited when they opened a location in the Montgomery Mall food court but shortly after the pandemic hit and I didn't get a chance to check them out until I hear they were closing it. When I arrived, there wasn't much selection left.

I bought the following: Assorted Pastries (Black Forest, Tiramisu, Rouge, Four Leches), Croissants (Butter Croissant, Pear Almond Croissant), Cookies (Chocolate Chip Cookies), and a Beef Empanada. I enjoyed everything except for the beef empanada, which wasn't what I expected it to be like.
