Terrible patient treatment. I was seen in hospital Dr. Shaw Convinced my family and I he would get me on the right track and help me with a good treatment plan. At the time I was having an insurance struggle he put me at ease and told me not to be concerned...however me being me I fought to get it fixed.

1st- Making an appt with Margo was like pulling teeth...I advised her of the Dr specific instructions for me... she didn't really want to hear it...until another office staff overheard and knew of the specific details to get me in...Finally with a bit of attitude I got scheduled.

2nd- Day of appt. Mind you this took me reworking schedules because I'm a mom of 3 young kids and I had to arrange someone else to tend to my kids and getting them from school because this was "Squeezing me in" an already booked schedule per Margo. So I had to arrive early to complete paperwork. When i arrived i was given a thick packet of paperwork to complete. Finished my paperwork, to then be told after 45 mins of already being there that I have to reschedule the Dr was hung up at the hospital. WHAT?? But I calmly said ok and rescheduled so I could call my sitter to cancel 20 mins before my kids were to be picked up!! I should have been notified prior if he was running behind so I didnt waste my time and gas as well as someone else who was going to care for my kids!!

3rd- Finally got an actual Appt after almost 3 weeks which I was suppose to be seen within a week! Go in and meet briefly discuss medications and I get slapped with a huge list of tests they wanted to run, tb test, flu shot, FULL bloodwork (15 tubes), specimen sample, MRI...etc I complied...I was placed on a temporary medication that gave me SEVERE side effects when I called the office and left message with Margo (again) I never got a call back!! Never recieved all my test results took myself off medication...called back in 3 weeks later...made appt with Margo...asked for a call to discuss medications as I'm in an active flare up and have been for weeks and to be honest.....its PAINFUL!!!

4TH- Got a call back 30 mins after I schedule appt from Margo stating...oh sorry we no longer accept your insurance you have to find another Dr!!! Are you kidding??? I did all those tests without my results you had me on a brand new medication which caused side effects which I voiced and this is what im told are you kidding?? WOW first off this is something I should have been notified about prior...2nd of all this isnt just something that happen in a day you had time to notify me!!!

5th- today 11-15-18 I call to release my records since they basically did a full list of testing that apparently should be important to my new GI. Margo once again is very rude and tells.me I have to call Piedmont directly! I also asked for office manager and she said she's not in she will have to call you back...never recieved a call!! However here is the kicker....Margo not knowing all the tallys I've been keeping on our conversations, and probably not even realizing who she was speaking to, told me today why do you need records...I stated for my new GI...may I ask why you left....ummmm??? You no longer accept my insurance?? Remember?? "What's your insurance?" I replied...."" she replying "oh we accept that" !!!??? WHAT??? WOW!!!

This is my reasoning for this terrible review because this office did me terrible!! Newly diagnosed with a life long condition...this is the first Dr I deal with and this is the treatment i got.....UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
