Westglen Family Physicians - St. Luke's

Dr. Koeppel is excellent! My parents have had years of outstanding care at the University of Iowa. When I moved them to St. Louis my husband (a physician) said I will have a hard time finding a primary care doctor as outstanding as the one they had in Iowa. Well, I found him. My parents are working towards 90 with multiple complex medical conditions. When I brought my mom first to see Dr. Koeppel we both walked out of the office at the end stunned by how much we both absolutely loved him (and his staff!!). He is kind, patient, an excellent listener, is thorough, and extremely smart. And the staff is awesome. When I took my mom to her cardiologist two days later he looked at my mom’s EMR (electronic medical records) and said Dr. Koeppel wrote an outstanding medical summary of my mom’s visit. And he did it within 48 hours of seeing my mom!!! The cardiologist told my mom he was impressed with Dr. Koeppel. I have switched my own family’s care to Dr. Koeppel, now, also. We are so happy we discovered him (and his staff)!

We got in quickly to see our favorite doctor, Dr. Obrien. We have been seeing her for along time. The front desk people are very nice, and helpful. The nurse attendants or very nice also.

Dr Koeppel diagnosed my health issue and helped with management of it too. Wonderful Doctor and top notch staff, very helpful team.

Dr. O’Brien has been my family’s physician for over ten years. She is INCREDIBLE. She is super thorough and kind and thoughtful. As in any doctors office, you’ll have a wait but if you’re there on time they are pretty prompt. She has diagnosed my family members and myself with diseases as they occur and treated seasonal ailments. A great resource, so good that when I moved to Saint Charles three years ago I STILL drive all the way back to Ellisville for appointments because there just isn’t another doctor for me. Highly recommend.

I go to Dr O'Brien and I LOVE it. She is thoughtful, patient and understanding. She listened to me and gave me options when i explained my issues. She was open to trying my ideas and tweaking as necessary. I have been trying to find someone like her for a while. I am so happy with her and her staff. I would recommend her to anyone

General yearly physical exam. Check-in was easy & doctor took his time with me.

Office staff and the young who took my vitals are friendly, attentive, respectful, and professional.

Barbara O'Brien is great, never have had any of the issues with the office staff others have had, my wife and I have been going to her for years.

Dr. Barbara O'Brien is one of the best doctors I have encountered - Her and her nurse Alison are real honest down to earth people doing all the right things. The problem is the office staff is incompetent. They are constantly messing up my prescriptions, and the other nurses and appointment personnel are rude. If I wasn't so happy with Dr. O'Brien I would go elsewhere.

Seemed very unorganized. 1/2 hour waiting for Dr from scheduled appointment time. Never have insurance in system.

Been going to Westglen for over 40 years. The reception desk workers are rude and have a terrible attitude.

A week ago I called and spoke with Sarah, who became angry, frustrated, rude and unprofessional as she was unable to locate my insurance info. When I addressed her behavior she hung up and no one answered my other calls. I drove to the office to speak with someone in person and made complaint and to inform them that I would be contacting Patients Relations at St. Luke’s Hospital. Therefore, if patients are experiencing unprofessionalism, the best option is to contact Patients Relations. I have never before experienced this behavior before and will never allow this office to provide me with anymore service, all because of Sarah. We as Patients have choices. Posting and reporting things such as this will make a change. I see what others are saying and I truly understand. These problems will stop only when we refuse to accept them.
