Best Italian food in local! Hand made pasta with tasty source. The vegetarian dishes are amazing, their special source enrich the taste. Pasta is chewy and cooked perfectly. Dessert is also sweet in a perfect touch, not too much suger.

Best Italian in the DC area. RPM who? Don’t know her. Also idk why Google says this place is ‘casual’ don’t be fooled by its unassuming location this is a white tablecloth restaurant and attire is definitely business casual.

The pasta here is just unbelievable. You can go all the way to Tuscany and you won’t find a dish as good as the pistachio ravioli here. For once in my life I did not order it and was tempted away by the special of the night, the pear risotto, and my pistachio ravioli might have a hot competitor now. The tuna tartar was also a standout favorite at the table. And the desserts were just the right size for a few nibbles to share.

Once again, it was another wonderful evening dinner as usual they’re cocktails are awesome and what can we say the risotto our favorite dish along with pistachio pasta, and to top it off with the best dessert ln the house.

“Name your favorite restaurant in the area?” Answer: easy, Il Pizzico!! I love this restaurant because the specials are always spectacular and unique and the menu items across the board are delicious and well cooked and there’s always a different dish to try that delivers.
The risotto constantly blows me away. It’s often a special and whether it’s mushroom or pancetta, it’s always rich in flavor and the risotto is perfectly cooked.
The scallops are also cooked perfectly.
The desserts are amazing - the crème brûlée consistently stands out, as does the chocolate mousse.
Most recently I tried the stuffed eggplant with ricotta appetizer and was so impressed.
The service is also great and the restaurant is nicer but the dress code is only smart casual.

One of those rare places. Incredible food, once staff, incredible pricing, unfortunately there are no more places like this joint anymore. Asset to the area! Thanks.

My experience here was phenomenal! From how we were greeted, seated, serviced, to our farewell it was all exceptional. The food was amazing! Everything you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. Highly recommended and nothing in this area comes even close to the full experience you will have here. Five stars

Wow...squash blossoms stuffed with goat cheese were fried perfectly and the soft shell crab special was beautifully prepared. I must say in the 30 plus times over the years eating here......this was the best meal by far! New Chef?

Incredibly simple online reservation system. Superb and friendly wait staff. The food is incredibly delicious. Also, the prices are very fair. You totally get your values worth. While some of the portions may look small, they are really filling. Seating is somewhat limited and they get pretty busy on the weekends. A reservation in advance is probably necessary unless you want to end up seated at the bar. Overall, I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

The best Italian within 100 miles. Amazing pasta, the freshest fish and ingredients. Seasoned and sauced perfectly. A terrific staff, always exceptional. Inside a warm, welcoming, comfortably luxurious interior. One of the best in the entire DMV and we'll beyond. An excellent dining experience for decades and always!

Il Pizzico is hands down the best Italian restaurant in the area. We had an amazing experience tonight, the staff was incredibly considerate and professional. Our server, Marcus, was especially fantastic. And the food was outstanding, the Tri-tip steak special was possibly the best steak I've ever had, perfect medium, with an incredible wine reduction sauce. Can't recommend this place enough. Make sure to make a reservation, as they're always packed.

Il Pizzico never disappoints. A beet salad was on the menu for lunch appetizer. Beets are an acquired taste but this dish was delicious. A mild dressing, and toasted hazelnuts added a surprise crunch.Pasta was up to standard. Enjoyable lunch with perfect service.

Il Pizzico is a wonderful Italian Restaurant located in Rockville MD. All dishes are authentic Italian with specials daily. Salads, entrees. Pastas and desserts are made fresh daily. The atmosphere is cozy
Dress code nice casual. Open Tuesday through Saturday. We'll worth a visit.

This is one of the rare times I wish there was an extra star to give a resturant!! The food at Il Pizzico was absolutely devine!

There were lots of highlights with my dining experience, but if I had to whittle it down to just a few:

* The intimate setting of the restaurant and the individual lighting with each table really set a great atmosphere.
* The service was 10/10!! Our server was very knowledgeable not only of the menu, but also the specials for the day.
* Really expansive wine menu - which has me ready to go back and try more of their sommelier's options.
* Without a doubt, their pasta is freshly made... Which of course is a must with a fine dining Italian restaurant & the portion sizes are spot on - not too big, to leave you feeling overwhelmed, or too small that you're hungry after your entrée!!

We had a fantastic belated Valentine's Day dinner, all the dishes were lovely and we had a great experienced server that made the experience all the more pleasant. The mushroom ravioli with pistachio sauce was so unique and delicious and the short ribs and polenta were a perfect combination. Can't wait to come back again.

Cozy, fine-dining atmosphere, exceptional service (Thank you, Marcus and Dine!), and the food is unique, richly delicious, and beautifully presented. Dress is business or "smart casual." Reservations are definitely recommended. This is the perfect place for special dinners. We enjoyed our wedding anniversary here and plan to come back for many more date nights and celebrations!

The best Italian restaurant in DMV. I’ve been here many times and all the dishes that I had here were absolutely phenomenal. Seafood pasta and rigatoni are delicious and I highly recommend the squid ink pasta. They have great appetizer and dessert menu too. This is a perfect place to celebrate any special occasions. I would make a reservation for dinner service and come early since they don’t have a lot of parking space.

I have been going to IL Pizzico since the 1990s and the food and service has been consistently great. It is now expanded to two dining rooms plus a bar area. Before they did not take reservations but now they do and I advise getting a reservation.

Parking can be a challenge as the lot is quite small and tight. There is parking behind the building. Be aware, however, not to park in front of the Chinese restaurant as they threaten to tow.

Just go! Great Italian food. Homemade pasta, wonderful proteins, fabulous cocktails, perfect service. You can't go wrong. Sit at the bar if you can't get a table and Brad will guide your way

Truly, one of the two best restaurants in Maryland. Food, service, atmosphere and staff. Consistently GREAT FOOD. They care about you, they care about what they’re serving and whether you’re enjoying your meal and if possible will alter meals to accommodate you. How could you eat anywhere else. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THE RISOTTO

Used to be a regular here but fell into the Yogi Berra trap- nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded.
Came back for my birthday dinner on a Tuesday. Arrived at 7 and got the last table- whew!
Food was amazing as I remembered it. The bread and olive tapenade they give you is a wonderful start to the meal. We the had the Involtino of Eggplant, which are rolled eggplant stuffed with mozzarella and ricotta, covered in tomato sauce- so good.
We each had salads, the Capricciosa salad and the Rughetta e Parmigiano salad, both great.
For dinner I had the Tagliatelle Mare e Monti- fettuccine with shrimp, bay scallops, mushrooms and peas. Better than I remembered. Their tomato sauce is so light and flavorful and the pasta was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Penne alla Melanzana, also delicious.
Great ambiance and wonderful service.
Other reviewers complained about the parking, and yes, parking in front is very limited. When we went, there were plenty of spots behind the building to the left.
Will definitely not wait long to come back again!
