Thomas Murray Funeral Service made my worst nightmare bearable. From the time I contacted them to end of service, they were impeccable. Thomas was compassionate, kind, extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and exceeded all of my family’s expectations. He helped me make decisions when I didn’t know which way to go or which way was up. He was so personable that through the grief of losing my son, he made my mom and I laugh on numerous occasions. He felt like family. I wish I could give them more than five stars. Thomas will be my go to from here on out. Thank you Thomas!

I am so grateful we found Thomas Murray Funeral Service after my son passed away, unexpectedly, on 10/29/20. The experience with this funeral service helped to soften the edges of our pain during this vulnerable time. Thomas seemed to truly understand what we were going through and bent over backwards to accommodate us. He treated us with compassion and respect, while providing top-of-the-line service at a fraction of the cost of other funeral organizations. I was very impressed and highly recommend this funeral service.

Thomas & his staff were wonderful. We live out of state and needed someone to manage a family member's' remains who lived in Morganton. We spoke with Thomas directly, and he reassured us her remains would be handled with care. Thomas handled everything for us, including delivering her cremated remains directly to our funeral home, along with all the paperwork. He followed up to make sure everything went well. We would definitely recommend his services to anyone in the area.

When my grandfather passed away 2 weeks ago today i had started calling around Monday to find a funeral home/cremation service we would use. I searched and found Thomas Murray Funeral service and I could not be more impressed. Mr.Murray answered all my questions and we spoke a lot that day. He knew poppa had not passed but I was helping my mom plan out the needs. On Wednesday night he texted me to let me know his church family had lifted us in prayers and was checking to see how he/we were doing. (Mind you this man didn’t even know if we were using his service at the time!!) his compassion and dedication were amazing. On Thursday We had to make the dreaded phone call. He drove 1.5 hours out of his way to go pick up poppa, then back down. He stayed with the family (my mom, dad, uncle and cousins) and spoke in detail answering any questions and making sure goodbyes were said. He texted me-knowing how close I was to him- to let me know poppa was in his custody and that he was heading back down the mtn. He didn’t have to do that but he did. Now forward to a week later when he called to check on not only me but my mom. We got to chatting and he learned that I have 3 kiddos. Then today this shows up in my mail.
I HIGHLY recommend Thomas Murray. I dread the day when I have to call him again because that means a loved one has passed but I do know when I have to they will be respected even in death.
Also. His prices are very reasonable. A basic cremation was 995.00 AND he includes a very beautiful wooden urn with a plaque. No where else does that. You can clearly see the heart and compassion this man and his family have in this line of work.

Mr. Murray was very professional and caring, a Christian man that cared about our family during our trying time. We recommend his services to other families in the Morganton area.

If you really loved your family member you should not go here!!!!! This man thomas murray is nice and sincere until you sign papers and he gets there body in his possession then he is very rude and disrespectful, ALL he wants is money!!!!! He has no respect for anyone especially the deceased and the family. I could not believe the things he said to the family and the people that went to the funeral. He is also very judgmental and very raciest. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS AND TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! THIS MAN IS PURE EVIL!!!!!
