Along with stocked shelves of bulk foods, packages goods, wine, beer. they even have sushi made in house which is yummy . I shop at least weekly and know I can find what I need at good prices. The friendly staff is awesome! Always helpful in finding what you need. Pricing is really good, they always have great specials and offers. High quality products and produce at very reasonable prices. Again today everything in stock I needed. Today they had some yummy organic corn. It's delicious! Looking forward to getting more! Kirsha is very helpful and friendly. Kathleen is now in the wellness dept and she is wonderful! Today I bought plants. They give members special offers, and I got a free pumpkin!

Chatham Marketplace is a gem. I wish every community had a co-op. Not only is it an honor to have a co-op in town, but it feels like winning the lottery to have such a well-run marketplace right next door. I have enjoyed my experience so much that I became a co-op owner/contributor months after moving here. Chatham Marketplace is doing great things and if you live nearby and haven't visited, you are missing out!

I love the farmer's market, the local options, the books they offer reflecting local food practices, the special goodies (always good candles!), and humane milk/meat offerings. Today I tried the sandwiches for the first time and I was really happy. This is what grocery stores should be. Even just coming to enjoy the pollinator garden is worth the trip.

Note: Recovering plant addicts beware! There are tons of amazing plant goodies and a variety of seedlings and houseplants!

If you want to support local and make sure those that grow your food can continue to do so. If you want to know where your meat comes from. If you want a fresh and healthy breakfast or lunch option that is made of real food. If you want to know that what you're putting in your body will help nourish and fuel it. Chatham Marketplace provides all of that and more.

Best breakfast in Pittsboro at an awesome price. Fresh produce, wine and beer and plenty of organic foods. I love having a co-op in Chatham County. Great to have a local cafe and grocery in downtown Pittsboro.

Lovely coop. Beautiful prairie landscape to enjoy coming to and from, decent selection, yogurts on sale, great line-up of pure-fruit juices, produce was really good (particularly the plums and mangos), and FRESH-MADE, IN-HOUSE, deli salads (slaw, spud salad, etc.) which is almost unheard of in any market in 2023. The gentlemen at the register even asked if I needed ice in a bag for my yogurt, when he found out I am from out-of-town.

I love this local food co-op in Pittsboro! You know you're somewhere special when you drive up to the charming old mill building - complete with vintage water tower - and you walk by layers and layers of wildflowers all around to the front door.
Chatham Marketplace has pretty much everything you need - it's the only grocery I shop at. Try the local pastured meat and dairy, produce, breads, sushi, fresh-made breakfast burritos, creative sandwich offerings, and check out their awesome selection of local beers (including kombucha beer).
They sell fresh, local - lovely! - flowers from Deep River Flower Farm. These pics are from the day I brought them home and 9 days later, still beautiful.

Chatham Marketplace is my main grocery store, and it's one of the many reasons I love living in Pittsboro. It's small, the perfect size, without all the junk food, noise, and advertising that overwhelms me in a big retail grocery store. They carry a lot of local and responsibly grown and sourced food. Their prepared foods are great: fresh sushi, the best hummus I've ever had, and yummy sandwiches. Oh! And they have amazing baked sweets - including some vegan and GF - cookies, brownies, scones. They also have a great selection of local beers, hard cider and kombuchas, as well as organic wine. Become an owner, and save an extra 10% off co-op grocery deals.

I love this wonderful locally-owned grocery store. A great place to shop for organic, local and sustainable products right here in Chatham County. The deli/cafe features made-to-order sandwiches that are top notch, and the salads, sushi and grab-n-go selections in the cooler are all delicious and quick options. The staff is super and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. If they don't stock an item, they can often special order it for you. I can't imagine a happier shopping experience!

I am so grateful for the dedicated staff of this locally owned grocery. They continue to uphold a masking policy. And this makes it possible for people with vulnerable loved ones at home to shop there. I know it is tough, as there are some who continue to fight this simple safety measure. But this simple precaution is a huge gesture of respect for the disabled, the vulnerable, or those who cannot be vaccinated due to youth or complex medical conditions. Thank you, friends. So nice to have this grocery store in Pittsboro. Produce is really fresh, great selection of harder to find food/body product items, especially for gluten free or vegan lifestyles. Free parking lot, outdoor seating, friendly staff and overall great shopping experience! We love the bulk section too.

This is a wonderful little market in Pittsboro that features local produce as well as a wide range of all kinds of foods including some things you won't find anywhere else. I always find some kind of interesting treasure to bring home along with my regular weekly shopping. They have a great porch for meeting friends and relaxing with a coffee drink or tea. Plus, you're supporting a local business and a cooperative atmosphere. A win all around!

I love this co-op! Employees are always friendly, courteous, and helpful. The freshly made foods in the deli/coffee area are fantastic- amazingly delicious and healthy, while being rather inexpensive, particularly for the portion sizes and quality. Overall, I love how conscientious this co-op is of providing organic, locally grown and produced items, and supporting the local economy through the selling of healthy, GOOD food. I love Chatham Marketplace and I’m so happy we have this store in PIttsboro. It’s a great resource for locally produced foods, natural and organic items, meats, coffee, beer, wellness items, and more. Plus great deli and sushi made in store.
