Sonic Drive-In

I was in the area helping a family member with a move and stopped to get lunch. When it was time to pay, I realized that I did not have my purse or cash on hand and they did not take ApplePay. The manager made my day by taking care of the cost for me without hesitation!! That moment truly showed me that CUSTOMER SERVICE still matters. Thank you so much for exceeding my expectations AND the food was GREAT!!! Definitely hit the spot.

Food is good, but I just wish the Burgers could be put together better. They come up short on the condiments and onions. There is just not much of either.

I seen all the reviews recently, that are reAlly bad. So I decided to head over there and talk to them, get some food. I did take a while, but you guys have to remember this is during hard times. They are short staffed like other places. The food was amazing, and the people were nice, and apologize for it taking so long. There's physically nothing they can do about it, unless you guys want to get off your couch, and go apply to work there yourselves. Stop complaining about 4 people not making 50 orders a minute, unless you're gonna do something to change it. <3

Food was the same way I ordered it...Love it...Do u own the Sonic in Shelby.. It needs to be closed...Rude workers

The service and speed with food delivery was MUCH better.
If you have not tried the Strawberry Shortcake Snowball Slush Float you are missing something special.

They had a just low-key overall vibe an food was on point and just a great experience in general

Honestly this store has changed a lot in past few months. Food is fresher when I come and waits are shorter. The big guy who is the manager now is extremely friendly. My carhop today Hanna always has a smile on her face.

I haven’t been to this location in over a year. Came last night while visiting a friend, to my surprise the location has improved a lot. First off they have ice cream back and my burger was so juicy and fresh. The store was extremely busy but I got my food in like 5min. I’m glad sonic finally did something about this location.

My order was correct and they prepared it in a timely manner .

They were a bit slow but looks like they were under staffed. So I understand and thank those who did work. Order was correct and food was good. I recommend this restaurant to anyone in that area

Excellent service. The car hops are great. The manager Michael was great and helpful. He looked strange with all the tattoos but overall was very courteous. He did offer to bring extra condiments and napkins then offered desert as we were finishing our meal. Overall service was awesome and the parking lot and interior we're very clean.

I come here very often at least 5 times out of the week, every week. I usually get the grilled chicken and fries with icecream everytime and its always so good, I can tell that the new management team, has completely remodeled the dining area, and it looks so much better than before. The carhops are always so nice and very polite. They really have improved and I cant wait to come back Thursday.

Came here tonight and was surprised by how fast service has gotten over the past year, was debating on eating here. But glad I made the choice stoping here on the way home. I believe Madison was my server and she was so sweet and fast ! Then having people come back and check on me was great. I had needed some extra marinara sauce and was surprised I didn’t have to get out of my car to go get it. Very impressed. I will be back

I love coming to this sonic, it’s amazing and has very good service. There was a renovation inside it looks so much better. I love this Sonic and I tell all my friends and family about it. The food is phenomenal I love everything on there menu. Usually when I come here I get an employee I believe of the name of Madison. We always joke around but she’s always on task and fast about everything, whether it’s for ketchup packets or getting a refill on my drink.
There is another worker her name is Eva I believe she’s also fast and I believe that she’s new but she’s a very good worker. They have a very good team at sonic drive-in in Gastonia then before and I will continue to come back every chance I get especially for their mozzarella sticks!!

We went and tried the new Oreo waffle cone tonight and it was pretty good, if you plan on going to get one be sure to ask for a spoon when you order. They were fairly busy but had a quick turn over. Our waitress was super nice, we had a nice time.

The food was hot and the order was correct. The server was very pleasant too. These days, with so many places short staffed, little things understandably wrong, but our experience at Sonic was great.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences at this sonic. Food has always been fresh and brought out to me by a kind and caring carhop. They even asked if I would be willing to wait for onion rings. After I got them I understood why. They’re legitimately hand battered onion rings. Sonic is the best, but especially this one.

I came to the Sonic tonight and had a young man with on me by the name of Daniel. He must have been high school age. He was giving it his all and really made me feel like my fast food was important to him. This isn't the first time this has happened at this particular store. They are certainly training future leaders and hard workers who take pride in their work. That is awesome. Great job!

Very good items on their menu that we can't get every day at other fast food restaurants at decent prices. I've never ordered anything that was not only delivered to me hot, but good too!

Was in the area traveling and decided to stop by and sonic to see the comparison to the ones in sc. Definitely amazing! Would recommend to anyone. Management is great! Employees were great! Food was accurate hot and fresh. Definitely will be my go to place when traveling to NC.
